It is officially Week 14 of the NFL season and do we got some awesome games ahead of us.
Carson Wentz is out for this SNF (possibly, most likely, they don’t even know), but that brings us back to the reigning, defending Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles! The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a heartbreaking and controversial loss to the Cowboys last week but remain in the playoff picture. They will now be traveling to Los Angeles to face the Rams. The Rams are still playing for that 1 seed and home field advantage while the Eagles are fighting for their playoff lives. I think this one gets ugly for the Eagles fast and their season hopes get demolished. Rams def Eagles 34-17!
We also get TB12 and the New England Patriots going up against the reeling Pittsburgh Steelers. Both teams lost in unbelievable ways last week. The Patriots with a Miami Miracle and the Steelers on a slipping missed FG. The advantage here is health and that’s where the Patriots got the Steelers. James Conner is questionable for this weekend and although my fantasy team would love to have him back, I doubt it. Big Ben is playing hurt. Chris Boswell is the worst kicker to still have a job. The last time they met, it ended with a controversial no-catch call. This time, there will be no controversy but the same result. Pittsburgh is in the midst of an epic collapse and will fall out of the division lead after this week and it will be demoralizing. Patriots def Steelers 30-10!
The MNF game has the reeling Panthers hosting the #1 seed in the NFC, the New Orleans Saints. This losing streak the Panthers are on is crazy. Cam Newton is clearly not healthy, but is still trying to play Superman. CMC is obviously the best player on this team right now. YET, Cam Newton loves to throw inside the 5 yard line. He’s costing them a lot of games. The Saints, however, are dominant. They haven’t looked great the last two games, but still managed to pick up the dub last week. The Panthers season could realistically come to an end this week and the Saints could put a stranglehold on the 1 seed. However, I have a weird feeling the Panthers look like the Panthers of the beginning of the season in this one and pull off the victory in front of their home crowd in an awesome game. Panthers win 27-23!
However, the fun starts tonight in the battle of the Wild Wild AFC West. The Chargers visit the Chiefs and both are coming in banged up. Is Melvin Gordon playing? Spencer Ware and Austin Ekeler aren’t. Tyreek Hill is coming in injured. If the Chiefs win, they clinch the division. I don’t know if it’s officially, but most definitely. Both teams have come a long way since their Week 1 match up. However, I’m going with the team I honestly feel is going to the Super Bowl this year. Yes, this is the team I think wins the AFC! Chargers def Chiefs 42-38!
Colts/Cowboys, Vikings/Dolphins, Titans/Giants and Packers/Bears are also show downs of some teams in playoff contention. *winners bolded*
ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR SOME STANDING SHAKE UPS?!
ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!

De ja vu.
Last year, Antonio Brown gets injured for me in the semi finals. This year, Keenan Allen. Smh. A huge loss for me in my money league if he don’t play.

Tuned in a bit late, but immediate impression was that the Chargers o-line is really struggling to deal with the KC pass rush. Rivers made a poor decision with that interception before the half though, throwing away points.

Wow the hands on Hill to hold on while taking a huge hit to the back.
Love that dance too! What an exciting player.

Chargers really showing off their impressive depth tonight. Mike Williams stepping up in Keenan Allen's absence and their number 3&4 backs doing a decent job running the ball.

Speaking of backup running backs, Damian Williams is having a great game, I think he's definitely a better option than Spencer Ware at this stage. Coming up on 150 yards from scrimmage now and running with some real power.

Coming up on 150 yards from scrimmage now and running with some real power. Honestly he’s been great and the other Williams, Darren who is a rookie from LSU has run about as well tonight too. I trust Spencer because he’s been consistently good, but man it’s gonna be hard to put him back on top. Picking up Damian for the consolation bracket feels like a win. Damian’s yards from scrimmage at least partially tied to the Chargers being very succeptible to the screen game early on. Good to see KC bringing that out against such an aggressive defense.

Well shit. Might wanna defend the guy catching all the passes.
Chiefs gotta beat Seattle now. I don’t fear Oakland in KC week 17, so as long as KC beats the Hawks they’ll stay where they are as number one seed.

Shame about the refs but my god that was good by Rivers. That fourth down throw was absolute perfection.

That game doesn't really affect how I view either team, honestly. The Steelers game was the one when I was convinced that the Chargers were legitimate contenders, and I don't think any less of the Chiefs having lost this one, similarly to the Rams loss in that their two flaws are the secondary and Andy Reid's game management.
If anything is written in the stars, this just opening the door for the Patriots to sneak in and get the #1 seed again.

Kids have been poorly so caught nearly all of it through been up all night, thought it was a fascinating battle. Mahomes first loss at Arrowhead. Chiefs/Seahawks is interesting because Seahawks have the ability to keep Mahomes off the field with their run-first offense, similar to Baltimore.

Got up a little earlier this morning so I could catch the replay of the game on NFL Network, got spoiled when they showed the final score in the ticker on the bottom of the screen just as Rivers was starting to bring them back in the 4th. Times like these I wish I would have just used my VCR(or had DVR).
Man looking at those two teams in that game I feel like the Texans when healthy and at their best can hang with both of them.
Blindy how do you think the Jets are going to do against the Texans tomorrow? Possible snow game!

I would absolutely love the Chargers to get to the Super Bowl and get Philip Rivers his shot. No QB in the league deserves it more.
Rodgers deserves more than one but at least he's got his. Rivers has been one of my favourite players to watch for some time, and I'd love to see it.

Guys don’t forget, there is football today!
430pm, the Houston Texans travel to the New York Jets in a game where the Houston Texans can clinch their division with a win. The Jets are home to play spoiler. Both teams will be without a WR as Houston will be without Keke again and the Jets will be without Enunwa again. I think this game is close at the half with Houston leading 10-7. The second half will be a different story as Houston shuts out the Jets for the rest of the game and clinch the division in dominating fashion adding in a pick 6 by JJ fucking Watt. FIGHT SOMEONE IN REAL LIFE! Texans win 27-7!
820pm, we get two teams still in the Wildcard picture. The Cleveland Browns travel to take on the Denver Broncos. Both teams trending in different directions here. The Browns have a small chance to get into the playoffs, but they are obviously the better team out of these two right now. This game will be low scoring, but in the end the Baker/Chubb combo helps the Browns win a tight one. Browns win 17-10!

Also, want to hear something absolutely crazy BUT possible?
Can Minnesota lose to Miami this week? Yes.
Can Carolina lose to New Orleans on MNF? Yes.
Can Philadelphia lose to Los Angeles on SNF? Absolutely yes.
Can Washington lose to the Jaguars this week? Absolutely yes.
Can Green Bay lose to the Bears this week? Yes sir.
Can the New York Giants beat the Tennessee Titans this week? ABSOLUTELY!
If all that happens, the Giants will be .5 BACK from the FINAL playoff spot. Do you believe in miracles?! YES!

I wish the Jets lose but if the Texans can't beat the Colts when the Jets put 45 points on em I don't know. We barely lost to these same Titans who everyone proclaims are amazing. And kind you that was with McCown at QB.
I think it's a close game that goes either way since Darnold is playing even if he's at 75 percent health.
Jets are taking one of the next two home games, whether it's Houston or Green Bay losing I don't know. We are finishing 5-11 and screwing ourselves out of a top five pick. Again. Again.

Blindy vs Shin kicking things off.
I have to go to my wife’s coworkers holiday BBQ for 6pm so I won’t be watching the whole game but I expect some funny bickering from both sides here.

And as I said, with Darnold even not at full health his scrambling makes this OLine look better than what it really is. It also gives our targets some time to get separation that they normally can't win off the LOS.
Mind you this is off a sprained foot that he aggravated last week. He is going to be so good once talent is available for him and he isn't throwing these narrow throws to force it and get picked. Oh and a decent aggressive signal caller and coach to believe in him.
Titans got lucky to not face Darnold, he would not have lost that game despite the garbage playcalling. Sorry Shin and Todd. McCown at his age can't make anybody whiff.

Samuel Darnold is going to be so good. Such a smooth thrower.
Jason Myers is doing it for the tank AND the brand. He is a kicking machine yet he can't make these XPs? Nah. Tank is fucking on. A Darnold display and Jets loss is a perfect life for me.
Henry Anderson since getting his balls grabbed by Cordarelle Patterson has been playing with pure fire. Lit up Hauschka last week on a cheap shot now wrecking Houston all game long.
