I wonder too if in the future if AEW sustains itself, how many of their stars will be people jumping from NXT to AEW or that made it to WWE but did not get used and quit to move to AEW. Fairly sure that is where Brodie Lee is looking to go.

So surreal to see Dustin Runnels was backstage at NXT. Wonder how long till Vince and the old timers shut stuff like that down.

Jim Cornette opinions on the show was pretty entertaining. He praised some things, but it isn't like most of the other reviews online giving it high praise. One of the points he made about how awful the battle royal was (for everyone not MJF and Page)and that some people should have said they wouldn't be apart of a show with that on it. Pac takes wrestling pretty seriously so I wonder if that was one of the reason he didn't want to do the show.

He doesn't take things THAT seriously.

Anybody got any additions they'd like to see to the roster?
I'd personally very much like if they signed KENTA and Tenille Dashwood to a deal. I think those would both be great additions.

Tenille would be great because she can talk a bit. I feel like the women they have are all just ok on the mic, and someone who can talk better would be a huge help at this stage. I also think they need one more main event guy whether it's KENTA, Punk, or someone else entirely. They need one more name.

PB, Well hopefully everything with PAC sorts itself out by the time TV rolls around, because he would be great to have around. I think KENTA would be a great signing, especially if he's refreshed and healthy. Obviously Punk would be monumental and a real game changer for them. Then who knows who could have a contract run out and they go to AEW. I could see someone like Luke Harper jump there the second he got the chance. As far as singles stars go, I'd personally keep Scorpio Sky and Kazarian as the tag guys and have CD as a singles guy. And, considering how stacked the AEW tag division is already with the Bucks, Best Friends, SCU, Angelico/Evans, Luchasaurus/Jungle Boy, Super Smash Bros (more than likely getting a name change), and Stronghearts when they come in, I'd make Fenix and Penta an occasional tag team but mostly single stars. Especially Penta. He's got main eventer all over him with his look and charisma.

Not sure how much time Killer Kross has left in Impact but he seems like he could be a great main eventer anywhere.

It is pretty much confirmed that Super Smash Bros will have a name change for AEW. They do not want to do SSB either so a new name will come with the gimmick modification for TV.

Not sure why they couldn't work this out before hand. Excalibur saying he knew who they were but being unable to say their name was pretty awkward.

Yeah not sure either. That was really fucking awkward given how great that debut was. Player Uno and Player Dos could have been used still. SSB could have been used still. Just not Super Smash Brothers.
So a great angle kind of fell flat when they could not name the guys and most people are not familiar with SSB to begin with.

Every single source other than Meltzer has reported that PAC's deal was actually Visa issues, but AEW didn't want to look "incompetent" for not sorting it out in time lol.

Visas are freaking weird now. Same thing came up with one of the authors of pain I believe. With the US cracking down on visas and immigration it was bound to hit wrestlers sooner or later.

It’s not just the US, Australia has the same issue but that’s more with the amount of different visas you can get which apparently has been streamlined a bit better now.
Mostly wrestlers getting tourist visas when they need working visas.

The gauntlet has been thrown down. Given this show on paper is already better than Stomping Ground, I expect them to go into the TNT debut extremely hot.

I completely agree with the battle royale being on the show was completely ridiculous. The main card was probably the best PPV I have ever seen and then I went back to check the pre-show and was met with that garbage. I was thinking the exact same thing that I was surprised wrestlers even agreed to be in it. I don't know how you can have one of the worst matches ever on the preshow of a PPV with that excellent of a main card. Then again, it was just on the preshow so I am able to live with it. As long as they don't ever do anything like that again.
As for them not naming SSB, I felt like that didn't cause the angle to fall flat at all. If anything, it built it up even more because of the air of mystery surrounding this unnamed destroyers. The reason I feel this way is primarily because I have no idea who SSB are and I felt a sense of mystery surrounding them that made me more excited to see where it goes in the future.

I don't know if this is 100% true or not, but Chris Jericho said on Twitter that he's pulling out of Fyter Fest, because AEW's giving the show away for free.

My main issue with SSB was they called the Heartless but not SSB, which is what made things weird. The Heartless are minions of SSB so calling them and not the better known masters was confusing as fuck. Moreso when they are not allowed to call them the Heartless in AEW. Since SSB is not going to be a fun loving Nintendo based tag team anymore, a rework of the gimmick though can only be a good thing. They can go all in with their minions and evil video game villain stuff.
As for Jericho he also announced he is part of G1. He is working people. My guess is he is off the card and attacking someone. Maybe Hangman, but I would not be shocked if he went for Moxley to work Moxley in a hardcore match to get his new character over.

Quite possibly dressed as another luchador .

Corey Taylor off the show to stand with Jericho against unsafe working conditions. Why he was on the show to begin with baffles me...

Oh shit. On Being the Elite SSB did a promo. They are renamed Evil Uno and Evil Dos and are now the Dark Order. Player Uno at least has been Evil Uno for a while since his turn so not a big change here. The name suits him a lot more. The Heartless have the Kingdom Hearts design removed from the mask and are called creepers now it appears. Evil Dos is still rocking the God of War look though.
