Tony announced this morning that Dynamite "Grand Slam" will be LIVE! from NYC on Sept 22nd. Show will take place at Arthur Ashe Stadium, better known as the home of the US Open tennis tournament.

23k+ capacity. That's going to be a can't miss show.

I hope this means they come to Canada next year or something.

Interesting venue to say the least. Not a bad sight for wrestling there.

That being said, I hope the company stays on the good side heading up to it.

THat's like 15-20 minutes away from me, pretty cool they are going out into Queens like that.

Wrestling in 2020/21 - we should all feel like we've been abused.

And a "mark” is to be someone who buys into the emotion and characteristics of the storyline and characters.

I am clearly the exact opposite with AEW.

Jim actually tries to defend Cody most of the time. And NATH45 will actually watch a womens match unlike Jim.

He's Yonkers, Bronx/Westchester! But yeah he should be on the card.

Private Party, who did tons of stuff for House of Glory(Ex TNA X Division staple Amazing Red's school) which is based in Queens should get a nice pop. Same with Pride & Powerful who are from Bronx and have done HoG stuff too.

That's... not completely unreasonable TBH. AEW is still in this growth phase where it's still okay for them to burn money - think Netflix dumping ridiculous amounts of cash into their Netflix Originals when their model was still mostly a combination of DVDs and hosting other companies' content. Amazon was also unprofitable for forever.

Couldn't say whether they should have sunk eight figures into their games division, I don't know how much a good game costs to make. But the argument could be made where it's better for them to have a game ready to go -- a GOOD game, rather than quickly half-assed slapping one together when it seems like they'll need one -- and it'll be better for their brand in the long run.

AEW just teased something on twitter that looks like a new title or titles. General consensus is either a replica belt for sale, or Trios titles.

Legit, I went to Japan for like four weeks (circa 2001) and lost maybe twenty pounds. Non-American-sized portions will do that to you.

This Wardlow vs Hager "MMA fight" feels like a parody of a real MMA fight, all of this shit is so choreographed with the punching and kicks, this has been hilarious. If you have watched even a handful of MMA fights, you can see how hokey this looks. The Fight Pit from NXT even looks better than this. And Barnett's Bloodsport blows this out of the water.
