I read the QT Marshall thing earlier today and yeah, that fucking sucks. I never really liked him and now I really don't like him. Such a stupid fucking thing to do.

Max Caster deserves what he got, but I hope he uses this as a learning experience and comes back bigger and better. He has a lot of talent and a lot of promise and it's up to him to decide how the rest of his year is going to play out.

Has anyone reported Shaq's opinion on this issue?

Max Caster suspended 2 months without pay over the rap he did that the editors of AEW ran with and didn't take off being shown. Yeah fuck that. Sammy didn't even get that much and Darby Allin is allowed to do his thing. Jimmy Havoc got paid rehab too.

Get out of the company Platinum Max and do your thing. At least Bowens isn't punished. 

EDIT: May not be true but some places reporting it to be true, some aren't. 

Seeing it in a lot of places myself. If this is the case, may another havoc situation where he is suspended then just released. Frankly, AEW has so many stars, they should be letting people go for things like this. The editor should join him though.

Well he's already said that he's going to be returning to AEW at some point so there can't be any real hard feelings there, especially as he did legitimately get hurt from the spot. Not a good look for them either way though, Todd's point about putting this story out there achieving nothing but potentially putting off future guests still stands even if Shaq wasn't upset about it.

Probably, he doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. They will back Guevara or Allin or MJF because they have invested a lot in them despite their controversies. MJF can practically tell people to go hang themselves or fat shame people in the crowd and Tony will say way to play up to the crowd backstage. It's a bad look either way no doubt. 


Reminds me of Cornette's firing in NWA. They had how much time to run that over and see what he said should not have made it onto Youtube but they opted to put it all 110% on Cornette because why not?

I donn't think the story is that big of a deal. I look at it as a sort of gentle hazing. Hazing is common in sports, I'm sure Shaq has been a part of it, and I guess he would have just laughed it off as someone pushiing him to do something he was nervous about.

I like how QT's current gimmick is exposing AEW as a disorganised unprofessional mess of a company.

I find the commentary is still one of the weakest aspects of the company. It just seems like they're never on the same page as the talent, so the calls are often indifferent. JR in particular just seems to struggle to get what the wrestlers are going for so often he'll cut the segment off and try his best to summarise it even if he has to ommit details. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head but I'm sure he'll do it again in the coming weeks. I don't buy a word Schiavone says, he doesn't add any substance to the call, he just puts everything over while he seemingly counts all the money he's making.

Excalibur understands the product but he struggles to put his points across. I think he works better on Dark because he's used to riffing on the product from his time in PWG. However when it comes to providing a serious presentation he struggles.

Team Taz are looking like the babyfaces in this feud. Cage sounds like a douchebag.

So in case anyone still cares it was reported today that the plan was always to have Hangman lose and take time off in September for the birth of his kid. It wasn't them calling an audible because CM Punk and Daniel Bryan signed. The result was always going to be writing Page off TV for a bit and missing All Out.

How did that write off Hangman?

If you took him out with a savage beating and gave him a good old fashioned pilmanising. Then you can write a hell of a revenge arch with Hangman enraged on his return.

If the said, no dice son. Take a seat to Christian and take a month off. Not so effective.

Hangman approached The Dark Order and told them he needed some space to figure stuff out because he failed them and cost them their tag title shot.  The Dark Order forgave him but Page wanted none of it. Then he confronted The Elite and they kicked the shit out of him. The Dark Order ran out to help him but Evil Uno and Stu Grayson held them back because of Page's wishes. They hit The Elite Trigger on him then Omega hit him in the head with the belt before Kazarian showed up and chased them off. He hasn't been on TV or mentioned since.

JR made sure to mention the belt shot was "open and unprotected" after receiving The Elite Trigger as well so they're probably calling it a head injury although they haven't said for sure yet. 

Frankie Kazarian as The Elite Hunter is so funny, just because he sucks at it so bad. He hasn't gotten dick on the Elite. Fuck it, I say make that the gimmick and just have him constantly lose to them. Don Callis beats him in a match. Brandon Cutler beats him in a fistfight. Absolutely no revenge for Frankie.

It was a decent send off for Page. He lost his shot, then got beatdown and now is not there. They should keep him in the loop with Dark Order promos talking about him, but keeping him off TV this way is not a bad idea. Give fans some time to miss him as when he comes back, it should be on a straight path to that title.

Maybe Impact continue to bend over backwards for AEW because they're happy with anything to keep the partnership going - but I'd be surprised if they are prepared for another AEW guy to win their belt, and not even on one of their shows. I would have thought they'd be very keen on having one of their guys get the rub of being Omega.

Hangman tweeted an angry tweet and apparently the report released today about him taking time off was released without his permission.

Pity the different feds could not get their ducks in a row. Kenny losing all his belts over the course of a week, becoming more and more desperate to hold on to them as he loses each one would have been a killer angle.
