Why are we assuming that Kenny is losing all the belts? Andrade seems like one of those routine AAA defenses he does. Cage is less predictable, specifically because they've booked two championship matches with the same two guys, which is pretty smart. But I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny wins that one either.

Maybe its just me but it seems like it would have been smarter to wait till after tonight's match with Christian to announce Omega vs Christian at All Out.

I don’t think the belt collector gimmick has helped the AEW title. Felt like a much bigger deal when it was on Moxley.

Not all the belts, Kenny will keep the AEW title, until the New York show.

When Kenny first picked up the AEW Championship and shortly after won the other belts, it felt like a big deal. But now that whole angle has been relegated to Kenny once again circle-jerking with the Young Bucks, enacting their weird booking fantasies. When those three get together in a big storyline it's never that good.

His feuds have rarely been first and foremost about the championship, it's always been presented more like we want Kenny to lose because he's a jerk and his friends are jerks, not because the wrestlers really want the belt.

It felt like they had little chemistry. It was a Cage type match and that didn’t play to Omega’s strengths. Horrible moonsault by Omega took me out of it at that point. Then it got going a bit but they had to do the stuff to protect Omega which they absolutely had to do, but no way you can call that a great match.

Yeah that’s fair. I don’t know if I’d say it’s cheapened it but it just hasn’t been highlighted in the same way it was on Moxley. A feud between Omega and one of Bryan, Punk and Page would highlight it again in that way.

Last night was a perfect example of how important a good crowd can be. None of the matches were particularly good and the crowd was the only reason it felt like a big deal.

The most shocking part to me was Omega being the first one to lose a title. I would have expected The Good Brothers or Young Bucks to lose their titles as the first chink in the Elite armor.

You have to wonder though if this means that by the time All Out comes around if Omega will only have the AEW title left. That would be a pretty interesting twist; The Elite losing everything in a matter of weeks and Omega is desperately trying to cling to his biggest prize.

Is it just me or did the crowd sound really quiet? Not saying they were quiet, just that the crowd noise didn't come through as much as I'm used to...

The FITE feed had sound issues throughout, particularly on the interview segments. Wouldn’t surprise me if that affected the crowd audio.

Sounded fine on the TNT feed I was watching.

Ric flair just came out with Andrade for his match against Omega in AAA tonight.

Kenny vs Andrade was a pretty fun match, I enjoyed it more than the Christian match. Referee was hot garbage though.

EDIT: Reading reddit, looks like the ref is a heel. Nick Patrick type deal. Guess that makes sense?

Interesting note from WON: Kenny was going to drop the belt to Andrade but AEW asked them to hold off and they agreed.

Makes me think the belt collector angle isn't ending just yet. I wonder if Kenny talks Christian into a title vs title match and Kenny wins the Impact title back.

People seem to love to shit on Kenny's promo ability (and while I'm not watching 100% of the time) I actually think he's rather good. That interview he did after Triplemania had a couple of great lines, with just the right amount of shootiness without being obnoxious.

A lot of the complaining stems from his NJPW days. He was not good back then.

He has got a LOT better, and I dare say that he's not bad anymore. He still stumbles on the odd word and has trouble improvising but he has improved a ton and deserves credit. He's done great since winning the AEW title.

His line last week on Dynamite was amazing. "Are you saying 'oOoOOooHhh,' or 'noOoOooOo?'....WE'RE THROUGH HERE!"

A Simpsons reference AND he improvised. So good.

Omega's issue is that he's rarely earnest in his promos because he's terrified with being confused as a toxic masculine wrestling guy. Whenever he does go there it's always got to be that sing-songy over-the-top delivery where he speaks so fast it's like he's about to auction off a house.

It works for some but it's definitely divisive.
