Wow, a huge play by Michael Bennett. That TFL on third down leading to the missed long FG keeps it a one score game.
Can Big Dick Nick do it again?!

Foles was going to do it too.
Jeffery's made some amazing catches in this game but his hands let him down at the worst possible time.

I really enjoyed Burkhart and Davis today. It would be nice if Fox would bump them up to their #1 announce team because they're way better than Buck and Aikman. Charles Davis is a really good analyst, only second to Romo on TV.

I bet Alshon's gonna get the Parkey treatment from Eagle fans after tonight.
I guess Karma came back to bite Philly after last week.

Yet another playoff choke from Phillip Rivers and the Chargers. Anyone really surprised? A lot of Giants fans lament the fact the Giants traded up for Eli instead of drafting Rivers, but I don't for one second. I would rather have a QB give me two amazing playoff runs that resulted in 2 Super Bowl rings than a bunch of amazing regular seasons that added up to nothing. Do they? I don't think I've ever seen Giants fans say they would have wanted Rivers. The majority of impartial observers argue that Rivers has been a better quarterback over his career and his stats bare that out. I've certainly always been on Eli's side, dating back to the days when people used to use Nate Kaeding and Shawne Merriman as reasons why the Chargers "won the trade".

For me I was never able to get over how the Chargers dumped Brees to ride with Rivers. Man just think what could have happened had they stuck with Brees(and used that pick on something else other than Eli/Rivers in that draft like say Larry Fitzgerald or Sean Taylor), Brees ended up being the better quarterback, way better leader of men, Chargers could have won 2 or 3 Super Bowls maybe at least 1.
Should be some good games next weekend.

Also I love seeing the old NFC West rivals rematching in the NFC Championship, that's going to be good. Those franchises had a really nice rivalry going there in 2000-2001, I believe Saints knocked them out of the playoffs in 2000 and they played some phenomenal games against each other in 2001 before the NFL split them up with the 2002 realignment. Over the years I've really grown to detest the 2002 division realignment.

Yeah, Foles was 100% going to do it. That's going to be a tough one for Jeffrey to live with.
As disappointing as the play-offs have been, the four best teams are left in the championship games. A lot to look forward to next weekend. At this point I'm officially jumping on the Chiefs bandwagon.

After the Chiefs/Rams game everyone was convinced that the sport had fundamentally changed and that defence was dead, but then Chargers beat the Chiefs and the Ravens, Bears and Cowboys all had standout defensive performances that suggested that perhaps the playoffs were actually wide open - but then we've ended up with the four top scoring teams left and all winning convincingly.

I’ll be rooting for the Saints pretty big time. However, I’m super excited about the final 4 teams. Did the Rams make all the right offseason moves? Is Sean McVeigh going to continue to produce offensive genius to the field? Is their defense filled with bullies going to finally show up as bullies and give them a complete team? On paper, the Rams are the best team left. However, the Saints could’ve been in the championship game last year. However, they nearly blew it against the Eagles. Drew Brees doesn’t have the weapons the Rams have to throw to, but Michael Thomas has proven he’s good enough to be the only guy. Kamara/Ingram are going to need big games, too. That defense needs to play a game of their life here so they don’t have to rely too heavily on Brees and Company putting up huge numbers. This team could’ve won it all last season and are now in position to do it. They’re still my pick to win it all, but it’s going to have to be an all around performance and Sean Payton is going to need to outcoach McVeigh. Am I spelling his name wrong? Probably. On the other side, I have no pick who I want to win. Chances are i’ll Cheer for whoever is behind in making a comeback. I should hate the Patriots, but I can’t hate greatness. If TB12 gets to the Super Bowl again, I will be at a loss of words on how good he is. However, they’re going to need to do it on the road and it’s going to take some big plays and great coaching. On the other end, the Chiefs are the Golden State Warriors of the AFC IMO. Mahomes is Curry. He came and changed the game when he had no business changing it. Maybe it’s their skin tone too, but that’s who I compare him to. Williams has revived his career and will rob someone of millions when he hits free agency. I believe it’s the scheme and I believe it’s the weapons surrounding him for his excellent work after Kareem was given the boot. I don’t think the Patriots can slow down the Chiefs, but the Chiefs need to make sure their defense is on point. If the Chiefs D shows up, they’re unstoppable. I can’t help but like Garfield so I hope Andy Reid can get over this hump. This is his greatest shot since he led McNabb to the Super Bowl. However, he’s going to need to outcoach the man who beat him that year to get to it again. So much to be excited about and I expect awesome games on both. I’ll be pulling for Saints/Patriots because that sounds dope, but I would not be surprised if both lose and we get a rematch of the greatest MNF game ever in the Super Bowl.

1. It's McVay. 2. The Saints haven't been relying on their offence putting up huge yards/points for a while now. They're averaging under 20PPG over their last 6, and the win over the Eagles was definitely more about the defence forcing turnovers and pitching a shutout over the final three quarters than anything particularly special by the offence. 3. The Chiefs already signed Damien Williams to a two-year extension.

Now that the Chargers are out I’m back to my usual “anyone but New England,” cheering for the remainder of the playoffs.
I guess if I’m picking who I want to win I’ll say the Chiefs for mikec to be happy. Be nice for his team to get one.
I know KJ likes the Rams but they’ve won in his lifetime. My wife likes the Saints but they’ve also won recently.
If it’s a Chiefs/Saints final then I’ll just quietly observe. Hoping for Chiefs/Rams II though.

Although, the “eigh” make his last name sound more exotic so I’m sticking to it! As for 3, whatever. He’ll end up on the bench soon. He’s not that good. He’s just having a great time with the system ala CJ Anderson with the Rams. The Saints didn’t get a chance to have a high powered offense against the Eagles. The Eagles had a great game plan, but the Rams are a different animal on the offense. The Saints aren’t going to beat the Rams by scoring 20. They’re going to need minimum 30. They’re not the Bears on defense.
