I’m just really curious what the hell happened with Todd Gurley. I mean, we’re talking about this injury but TG is saying he’s fine. Then we have CJ Anderson being his mentor. Meanwhile, pre-CJ, TG was the best RB in the league. I figured maybe they were resting him for him to go off for 200 yards in the Super Bowl but he was invisible. Them missing Kupp was so big for them and they could never find a replacement for him. Everett wasn’t doing it. I just don’t know how you only score 3 points and you have TG invisible the whole game. That just doesn’t make any sense to me. The way the line was blocking Gurley wasn't going to get anything, healthy or not. Yeah but it’s worth a shot. Especially in a game that was a one score game for 95% of the game. Robert Woods looked like he was in Buffalo again. They double teamed him and shut him down. Cooks had Gilmore on him and when he did break free, Goff got it to him too late. They should’ve let Gurley show why he is the highest paid RB at that point. Just a massive fail on their part.

The Patriots were crashing down playing 6 men on the line of scrimmage which was why the Rams o-line was overwhelmed. They needed to get the ball out on the edge more often which returns to the earlier point about the lack of adjustments from McVay. Gurley being injured and apparently not being able to cut was probably a factor here, but I think predominantly it was just poor coaching.
