That quote feels like one of the all time great lines. And much like Arnold... everyone can do a passable imitation.

Not totally surprised this came in below Dog Day and Scarface.
This wasn't as much a Pacino movie per se as an ensemble piece. Dog Day and Scarface were much more Pacino movies.
I have this sinking feeling Scarface is going to end up #1. I definitely understand why, but don't think it's a good enough movie to deserve that spot.
Here's still praying for a Dog Day upset!

Bruhs! Even if I had voted for Godfather and voted it #1 - it still would have only made it to 2nd place. First place kind of ran away with it. And let this be a lesson to you KJ. :nono: And The Kid too for that matter. :nono:

Wait, can we get some serious dialogue going?
As much as I loved Godfather, it's much harder for it to stand out as a Pacino movie per se with so many great characters/actors right there alongside him. I can totally see this being a rational, reasonable justification for Pacino showcase pieces ranking above Godfather on a list like this. Is this how the majority approached it?
Or does the majority here think Godfather is only slightly better than "Heat meh" meh?

Basically, there are the people who think Godfather is the greatest movie ever, nothing can touch it, no movie that has been made or will be made can even lick the boots of the Glorious Godfather.
Then there's everyone else.

I don’t think The Godfather is the Mecca of movies but Scarface finishing ahead of it is a farce.

Agree with RT, WAY BETTER! As for Mecca of movies, that for me is The Departed. I don't think I'll ever find a movie as captivating.

Slightly better? I would say it’s inferior. Ok, I'll bite... How in the world is Godfather inferior to Heat?!?! I barely got through The Godfather once and had no desire to go back. I’ve watched Heat countless times. And my opinion is fact! Booyah! That was easy!

The Godfather was my #2 and I picked it to represent the entire trilogy. What more needs to be said about this most iconic of movies? It is an absolutely landmark achievement that pretty much influenced and defined exactly what a mob movie was. I couldn't rank it #1 because Pacino is only part of what makes the movie great, and the great ensemble cast plus Marlon Brando are arguably even bigger factors behind the film's success. But I absolutely do not blame anyone who did rank it #1 because in terms of quality it is more than deserving.

I love The Departed, but it's such a testament to Scorsese's directing that I'd rank it probably as No. 5 on his movies. I'd have to give a nod to Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Aviator, Gangs of New York.

Not a fan of GONY or Raging Bull. Goodfellas and Aviator are both epic, as well. No disagreement there, it's just a matter of opinion. I'd definitely have those 3 top 3 off the top of my head.

Not mad to see DDA at #2. Not too thrilled to see Tony Montana at #1, although I guess I can understand. No matter how you try and twist it, when you think of Al Pacino, your first thought is Scarface. I guess I aint too mad.

I've never seen Dog Day yet , I wanted to for this countdown because I'm guessing I would really enjoy it with both Pacino and Lumet involved again. I couldn't find it streaming though and it wasn't cheap to rent for whatever reason so I'm going to have to put it on hold for awhile.

Still though, seeing DDA fall to #2, my initial gut reaction was to say "fuck this, I'm done with this list". DDA was/is fucking great. Tense, emotional, compelling. The best bank robbery gone wrong movie of all time, possibly.
