Cody's entrance last night was longer than the one women's match on Dynamite which ran a pitiful 1:51. This is not acceptable in 2020!

Pretty sure the highlight packages for the other three aew titles will be longer then 1:51.

I imagine Billy Corgan is having a significant role in how the NWA title is being presented - and he clearly has a better track record with women's wrestling than the AEW goonz. 

I agree with Nazzer what the hell has Sienna/Kay done to get on the PPV? Do a lot of the AEW pure fans even know her at this point? Deeb has had like 3 matches on main TV too, why is this even getting the time of day? Not that I am mad about that since the match might be a top 3 on the card but the lack of featuring these ladies is awkward.

So Serena vs Allysin was solid if unspectacular with a few too many rest-holds.

I liked the physicality of Shida vs Nyla, but Shida basically ignored all the work Nyla did on her legg during the final portion of the match. Also, I don't really think Shida is the best wrestler to put up against a monster heel for multiple long matches. Her normal move set is a bit too power based so she can't really use a lot of her spots like her backbreakers on Nyla, meaning she's left with a lot of running knees and falcon arrows and not much else. Which kind of made the match last night repetitive.

Bit late getting around to Serena/Allysin. Perfectly fine match but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's just like...why? Why did this match happen? Why is Allysin getting a shot at the NWA title when her NWA contract expired?
Also this is the first time I've really noticed it (probably a result of only being him and Excalibur on the call) but Tony Schiavone is a really negative commentator - he must have criticised the ladies at least four or five times for doing the wrong thing in the match, not exactly putting the talent over...

Don't have the enthusiasm to bother watching Shida/Rose. I assume Hikaru retained?

I liked watching Tay but not sure what happen tonight. It got a little sloppy out there. And some of facial expressions are odd. It looked like an I messed up face after she won.

Jade Cargill is an absolute goddess. She’s been on the radar for a while and I think even tried out for WWE last year. It’s a shame she’s stuck in a program with Brandi as she’s far too green to be carried by someone who is probably only slightly above her in-ring.

ABsolutely hated Brandi's acting there, she made it into some Jerry Springer like fiasco. She has never spoken like that, what the heck was that all about :lol:

Brandi is now involved in two feuds. Meanwhile at the Shrine of Shida, she working on getting a feud.

Their first match in AEW was about a week or two before Shida and Rosa fought.

The title match was not done in AEW it was done on UWN Primetime Live.

Dark had 5 matches tonight of mixed quality.

I thought Alex vs Ivelisse was pretty fun, and Alexa got way more offense this time which was good, and most of it looked pretty good. Ivelisse while not quite the athlete she was 10 or so years ago, is still a very entertaining wrestler to watch, even her rest holds are varied and not bland.

Penelope vs Rahne of whatever was not great. It was your typical Penelope squash with all of her usual spots. Rahne also did not make a great first impression.

Leyla vs Tesha was not great either. I liked Leyla's work on the arm, but I think she should ditch the triple jump moonsault for a regular one. Tesha has some promise by tries to do a little too much sometimes.

Swole vs Kilyn was fine but too short to be anything. You would think they'd give them more time as in-ring minutes is really what both need right now.


Thunder Rosa vs Lindsay Snow was also fine, Lindsay didn't really do much outside of a nice gutwrench suplex.

Dex, you forgot to mention the de britt baker talk show segment.

'The waiting room' saw her host in a fake dentist waiting room, with intro from reba. She interviewed th2. And it was awful, buf i think thag was due to th2.

Is Britt basically just a non-wrestling character at this point because of her injuries? Cagematch is telling me she has had a couple of squashes on Dynamite since the PPV match with Swole. If she's not limited physically, what on earth are they doing?

She looked more than fine in her match with Red Velvet here.



Britt is another who more than anything just needs more in-ring time to get better, I don't understand why they aren't giving her more matches at least on Dark if not Dynamite.   

OK someone might be able to enlighten me on why Britt and Rosa are fighting because the last thing I saw was her and Rebel making fun of Tay - but regardless this seemed a bit more like it. Now hopefully they just give us the obvious tag match next week instead of waiting another couple of months for her to wrestle again?

Britt and Rebel attacked Rosa during her NWA title match with Serena a couple weeks ago.

I dont think them making fun of tay was meant to lead anywhere. That was just an example of their bitchy characters.

Britt/leyla was one of my favourite aew womens matchew to date. I dont want to say it was a great match, but it was a perfectly fine match.

The announcers were reallt outting over leyla, i think she must have been signed to some level of contract. This is tye first of her aew matches that i enjoyed of hers.

And the thunder/britt stuff after worked too.

I've semi lost the motivation to keep up with Dark since they added so many extra matches but I watched everything this week.

I must be bad luck for Alex because the week I didn't watch dex02 said she got some offence, but she was back to being shut out here again against Nyla. :lol:

Dani doing the Christmas dance from Mean Girls was tremendous. She's visibly lost a lot of weight and her charisma really stands out on a roster full of women who have little more character than their standard pose for the camera.

Ivelisse for all her issues remains one of the most creative wrestlers around. Her Overdrive variation I haven't seen before and the athletic counter she did to set up the finish was really cool.

Big Swole vs Lindsay Snow was just wayyy too slow.

Diamante vs Tesha Price wasn't perfect but it was by far the best match of the week. I think Tesha has some real potential, she's athletic and her selling stood out.

Shanna vs Freya was a bit of a disaster.

Can you imagine if Abedon, Rosemary, and Su Yung were a trio?

You'd never get to sleep.
