Britt is a great example of someone running with what they were given. I see Rosa taking the title leading to a series between Rosa and Britt over it that spans the summer. It is a hot feud and they can make it work over several more matches. Can main event any of their shows if they cannot sell something better with the men as well.

I'd like to mention that Rebel may be a horrible wrestler, but she does a great job as Britt's valet/minion.

Also Rosa and Britt's facial expressions, while they're wrestling, are top notch.

There's no doubt in my mind that will be looked back on as an all time type match. The only thing that comes remotely close to that type of sheer brutality was the really good Monster's Ball match a couple of years ago (and that was a four way, and in front of a much smaller audience). This was a bloodbath of epic proportions and clearly blew literally everyone watching it away.

Let's hope AEW can use this to really springboard the division. They proved tonight they can deliver in that spot better than the men - there's no excuses left now.

I believed them. When I watch these hardcore matches a lot of the time it all comes across really phony to me, but I believed these wrestlers. It made a huge impression on me and while clearly you can't call it an all-time great match technically, it's not one that will be forgotten quickly.

How are either of these two not the champion? All due to respect to Shida, nobody cares about her.

That is a great way to put it Todd. The match worked as a match, whereas many hardcore matches feel just like spots.

Very cool to see the AEW guys hype this match up, then go nuts afterwards putting it over on social media. I think this is a huge difference between AEW and WWE. AEW is seems the guys are fans of the people they work with. In WWE it does not always seem to be the case.

As mentioned in the Dynamite thread, I don't think the match was that great, but it was the right match for the feud and showed a side of women's wrestling that has never been seen to that level before, especially on such a big stage. As a moment it will surely go down in history.

I know with what happened last year that this should not be taken lightly. 

I deleted my FB and don't use Instagram and use Twitter(mostly) for reading rather than reacting though I do seldomly, Social Media is the bane of our existence. Good for Itoh to get the hell off it.

Account is still up. She just wiped her post history. Which makes sense if she is looking to work in the US with cancel culture.

So the only match on Elevation regarding the women was the main event Leyla vs Ryo.
Overall I thought it was a nice showcase for Leyla she is very creative with ehr spots in the ring and Ryo seems to be an excellent base. I do wish Ryo would tone down the goofy stuff in her matches as they eat up a decent amount of time that could be spent on more actual wrestling, the rolling andaconda vice was cool though.

You missed a couple of matches dex02 ! Tay had another good match with Ray Lyn who I think is pretty decent, and they set up a future match/feud between Swole & Velvet and Nyla & Jade.

I enjoyed the main event too, as you allude to Ryo is generally a bit annoying but Leyla made a good opponent for her. I was particularly impressed by Hirsch's selling in this match, Ryo's stuff can look a bit mixed for someone who's supposed to be a heavy hitter but thought Leyla made a lot of it look really good. She does this thing where she staggers back on one knee which looks very realistic.

Allie is set to wrestle for the first time in six month tomorrow on Dark. The women's roster is suddenly gigantic!

Yeah I saw those matches . I guess with the Tay one I was disappointed that it was largely just another extended squash , I agree that ray Lynn seems pretty good  like I've said I liked the extended squash she had with Tessa on Impact.

The potential tag feud cold be interesting and seems to be a point of progress in what you were asking for in Elevation actually having some feuds/storylines. I'm still not super impressed with Swole however.   

Alex Gracia got completely jobbed out again tonight - and this was the strangest one yet against Ashley Vox. Getting squashed by some of their Dynamite level stars like Penelope and Nyla is one thing but this was a real shocker, and not in a good way.

Maybe they see something in Vox that we don't.

So Allie is randomly in the title picture now? I don't understand why they don't just move forward with Britt vs Hikaru with Britt winning the title. It's past time.

She ranked number 5 so to do that they will need another tournament for a title match or they could just get rid of the rankings.

It looks like it's more going to be Tay vs Bunny as part of the Dark Order/Hardy Family Office feud. Tay probably beats her in the tag match next week and Shida gives her a title shot from there.

Trust Mama Bear Rosa to come in an give Alex a better showcase. They set up a future Rosa/Diamante match/feud with a segment which is cool.

Not really in the mood to watch the other matches today - let me know if there's anything worthwhile?

That 6 women tag match tonight on Dark was a real mess. Demi Eko seems really awkward in the ring and a couple of levels below her sister. Big Swole really hasn't improved much.

What's up with Ivelisse? I heard a rumor she maybe done with AEW.

My support seems to be a bit of a kiss of death at the moment. Alex gets squashed more than anyone else on the roster, and now Madi is feuding with Leva.

It was inevitable really, she's just one of those people who can't get out of their own way. Diamante appeared on both YT shows this week by herself, and without the tag medal so it seems like she's gone. 

Can Vickie go away, please? She adds nothing to Nyla's act.

Also not a big fan of Allie getting wins over the likes of Tay.

It still feels like the actual Champion is second fiddle to another babyface this time Tay.

Kris popping out of the claw game was absolutely hilarious. A great return.

Loved Jade's promo this week - definitely distinctly the best she's done so far.

Elevation was pretty disappointing in terms of women's action.

Alex got squashed again and looked like an idiot in the process. Although Britt was entertaining.

Swole vs Jasmin was ok, but Aerial still isn't su[per impressive to me, although she did a couple of nice spots.

Tesha vs Ryo was unfortunately kind of a mess.

This might be just cryptic tweeting but it seems like that might be it for Alex in AEW (for now anyway)?

She had to say something because Britt trashed talked for 3 minutes, and won in a single move. The word buried gets thrown around a lot but not sure you can get beat worse then that.

Couple of fun matches on Dark today. Sea Stars fairly obviously are much better in tag matches than they are working singles. I never have a whole lot to say about Jazmin Allure but I think she's very solid for her experience level.

Vipress and Madi look like a team so I'd like to see them stick together. Madi's fun to watch because while she has a green moment most matches, she'll always follow it up with something excellent (usually her selling). It's going to be fun to watch her grow.
