Ah shit Jade Cargill getting a 1vs1 against Red Velvet, AEW bringing the big gun on the 1st Wednesday night alone.

Tay vs Bunny was a decent match - first half was particularly good but unfortunately Bunny really slowed it down after the commercial break with a few rest holds. It seems a little bit strange that they are pushing towards a Shida/Conti title match because it will prolong the issue with Hikaru not having a storyline/feud, but perhaps they use that match as a springboard to go into Shida vs Baker.

The Bunny should be getting a commercial being referenced as Lola Bunny at this point for the upcoming Space Jam movie, especially if Bear Country and Jurassic Express got to do the Kong vs Godzilla promo.

Tay Conti did this vs I think WALTER vs Ciampa too from Stand & Deliver, very fucking impressive. 

Skye Blue was cute tonight - it makes me feel old to see someone new who obviously grew up watching AJ and the Bellas!

Kinda redundant at this point to say that a Thunder Rosa match was good but her vs Diamante was better (and longer) than the Dark average. Rosa's so good at running a match, she's hits that mark blending telling a story and making it feel like a real fight better than basically anyone.

Another intriguing debut tonight with Queen Aminata who has a great look, good size (could be a really legit partner/opponent for Jade) and looked clean and crisp in the ring. Hope to see more of her in the future.

Oh I haven’t seen this yet but I remember Aminata from a few years ago when she jobbed on WWE tv. I know she had been gaining a lot of momentum in name value before the pandemmy so I’m glad she’s on a bigger platform now.

Is this on Ivelisse given her reputation or did AEW mess up? She was one half of your 1st ever AEW Tag tourney winner and AEW's track rate of letting talent so is favoring them but they did drop her during a pandemic after being so proud of not doing so to their talent. 

She's obviously just a confrontational and unprofessional person who doesn't understand that when things like this keep happening, she's clearly the problem. Her motivation for taking shots at Rosa is so transparent.

AEW can pair Diamante with Miranda Alize to maintain the tag team depth, and nothing of any great value will be lost.

She really is the female Austin Aries  The most miserable, bridge burning 4 star talent in the game today. WWE, Lucha Underground, AEW, I think one of the Mexican federations, what will she do next. 

She and Joey Ryan were two of the people who sued Lucha Underground for being stuck in limbo from appearing on other programs. You don't ever want to be apart of a lawsuit in court with Joey Ryan.

I wonder who gets a gig next in a major company, Tessa Blanchard or Ivelisse :lol: I think Blanchard rolling with Sasha & Bayley is leaning me to side with her getting a WWE gig.

But Impact has a working relationship with AEW, I don't think she goes with them. Maybe MLW if they are looking to bolster their female division besides S DLR, they have a heavy Mexican roster I guess.

Jade Cargill is the real. Her facial expressions are great for a heel and her power moves are fantastic. Can't wait to see her with different talent in the ring.

Think she gets Riho next, Riho is an over babyface to the AEW crowd. Jade can do her power moves with ease on her. All about bolstering that arsenal for her.

Jade counting her abs while the ref counted Velvet out after she threw her into the crowd was so boss. She's awesome.

Don't like the changes to Kris Statlander. Someone on another from was complaining about the new music Tony bought for Jungle Boy and Orange Cassidy should only be used for them as single not the whole faction. Now Statlander is also using OC's theme. I found her I guess old theme a lot better. If I heard the names for her finisher at the same type I probably would have liked Supernova better but I got use to Big Bang Theory.

I know the ranking is more about quantity instead of quality, but you would think beating the number 2 contender Red Velvet should get Jade a top five spot. And the only reason Britt went from 4th to 3rd is they removed Ryo from the rankings so Britt and Nyla moved up one spot and Thunder Rosa got on the list

Ivelisse reminds me of Reby, starting drama everywhere then wondering why there is always drama around her.

A bunch of just ok matches on Elevation tonight Britt vs Tesha was probably the best. The tag match was kind of weird it felt like it ended really abruptly.

How many companies has Ivelisse been released from now?

Road to Dynamite is well worth watching ahead of tomorrow's title match between Shida and Conti:

The tag match tonight on dark was pretty good, the sister team are pretty basic but they look pretty good.

Diamante vs Princess Amirita was a solid match too. Nice submission finish.

Yeah I really like Aminata, you can just see that she has that confidence and smoothness in the ring that instantly puts her ahead of a lot of wrestlers. Hopefully AEW see that too and keep her around - she could be real good.

Tay vs Hikaru was a strong match I thought. Tay keeps improving, and this was one of Hikaru's better matches in a bit. I don't really like Hikaru's spinning knee finish though.

I was hoping Tay was going to win since it would have been almost a year exactly since she was released. But Britt is the hot topic so it probably makes more sense for it to be her.

It was a fun match - fast paced, physical and kept both looking strong. My highlight was that super slick triple submission sequence that Hikaru used prior to the commercial break.

Right decision for Shida to retain, it's too early for Tay, and especially because there wasn't really much heat behind this match.

Not a big fan of Conti. She feels like someone who tries to emulate what she watches in NJPW like Shibata and tries to copy that off and present that from A to Z. The leg slap she randomly did in front of the camera when she was taking punches on the 3rd rope by Shida was pitiful. Some of the match was a bit sloppy yesterday IMO. I was afraid of that near throat kick she did on Shida, surprised she is still doing that given (supposedly) that was the move that injured Abbadon

She also looks unsure facial wise on what she is doing, like she gives off the vibe of "Did I just do that? Woah.". She has come a long way from how bad she was in NXT as I mentioned, Dustin Rhodes and the crew have done wonders for her. I just don't see this superstar talent in her though. She's like NJPW done in slo-mo, feels lacking with an identity for me. I wish she'd rely more on her Judo background and really utilize that more than these kicks.

Ronda Rousey is what she should be emulating, not Katsuyori Shibata. What's next, she will do headbutts?

On the contrary of someone who gets "Less is more" and gets facials and playing to the audience, big money Jade Cargill got some suitors. Ya love to see it.

Shida is way more of a strong style tryhard than Tay Conti. Unfortunately her general clumsiness and slowness sets her back. Having a strike-based offense is difficult if you run the ropes that slowly, nothing is convincing. Her spinning knee kick is awful. It's a shame because she seems to have the pacing, facial expressions and fighting spirit down.

Tay Conti is more coordinated and a little faster than Shida, but I do think a hybrid Judo/MMA style suits her more than trying to be a Brazilian version of Shida. But even her running knees strikes look better than Shida's.
