Woj bomb
The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

No better time than now for the Lakers to take the Warriors' spot near the top of the chain in the West.
And just like that, New Orleans has just become a perannual lottery team.

I think it’s a good deal for both teams obviously LAL got AD they got lot of work to do to fill out the roster.
Pelicans got some young talent teams with Zion, Ball, & Ingram(if he can stay healthy,). And plus they got multiple draft picks inc;using the 4th overall picks to go along with it.

Especially considering the Lakers still got to keep Kuzma.

The more and more I look into this trade; the more and more I like it for the Pelicans.
They got the #4 overall pick in the upcoming draft (which they could package realistically with Hart, Ball or Ingram and grab someone like CP3 who the Rockets are shopping and bring him back home. OR they could keep it, draft someone alongside Zion and build a dynasty. Ball and Ingram are up and comers. They’re either going to be Stars or burn. Not to mention, Nawlins got 2 more first rounders in the years to come. Absolutely set themselves up like Ainge set up Boston for a team that will compete for the next decade.
While this trade works for LA for the immediate future, it sets them up for another rebuild in about 5 years. So while LA tries to win soon, their future takes a hit.

First Rounders for a team with LeBron and AD aren’t nearly as valuable as the picks Boston got for a team putting itself in cap hell with a few aging players that were terrible.
I think they did fine, probably best they could. But I don’t really know if New Orleans got any future all star in the deal.

The biggest downside to this trade is cap space.
the Lakers won't be able to sign another star unless the trade gets completed on July 30th, and it's well known that both sides would rather complete the deal on July 6th. That leaves the Lakers with only 23 million and that is not enough for a marquee free agent, whereas they could have 32 million if they get the deal done on the 30th and that would be enough to sign a marquee free agent.

Both teams are fine with the 30th, it’s an issue of New Orleans wanting something for the 4th pick in other trades and that team wanting their player sooner.

So the Hawks offered the Knicks picks 8 and 10 for the 3 and NY declined it.
Now the talk is ATL and NO might have a deal with 8/10 for 4. NO is about to have an amazing young team. Zion, Holiday, Ingram, Ball, Hart and 2 other first rounders if they pull it off. We’ll see.
Also, talks are that Chris Paul has requested a trade from Houston. Apparently Harden and CP have not been getting along lately.

Another woj bomb!
Memphis has traded guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in Thursday's Draft and a future first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.
The Jazz will send a protected 2020 first-round pick to the Grizzlies, league sources tell ESPN. That pick will convey as a late-lottery pick in 2020 or 2021, or become a lightly-protected pick from 2022-'24. Deal complete on July 6.

So this big trade that should happen from the stat happens now. AD is often injured and his team finishes anywhere from 8-12 is really a game changer to the level that most people seem to think he is? it's not like the Pelicans were close to a good team when he played most of the time. LBJ and a lot of his supporters in the media have become annoying as fuck. LBJ had a down year not bad at all but the standard he's set and that's OK but he be on some passive aggressive stuff all the time and never takes accountability for the fact that he's a bad GM & a poor team-mate. The Lakers haven't won jack in years, yet most of the media treat them like their the Warriors. LBJ's style of offense outside of his passing isn't fun to watch.

He played 75 games two years in a row before the trade shit happened this year and the Pelicans shut him down. I know he gets banged up but people need to stop acting like he’s playing 50 games are year and saying he’s often injured. He’s not Joel Embid - and was more durable than a Durant or Curry or any other number of elite players.

I think AD is stuck with that stigma, though. No matter how you slice it, people view him as injury prone.

Before the 2 seasons when Davia played 75 games Davis was pretty injury prone but you're right not as much as I thought. I feel like Davis has yet to show he can win on any level in the NBA let alone the highest. I mean it's 1 thing if he was Kevin Garnett playing for the Timberwolves getting beat by better teams all the time but to hardly make the playoffs is disappointing. I hope AD proves he's a great player and not just a player that puts up numbers on a bad team. I like AD I just get the OMG the Lakers have AD now so their going to the west finals and beyond hype.

I don`t understand why Durant wants to play with Kyrie. Durant is a HUGE fan of Kyrie's game and stated so in interviews several times. No big surprise really. Lost out on Zion, lost out on Durant AND lost out on Kyrie. So far this offseason has been a massive L for the Knicks.

Can’t believe D’Angelo is going to the Warriors. Insanity.
Figured he could go to the Knicks where they whiffed on everyone else. One of my favorite young dudes in the league too.

Have no fear guys. The Knicks signed Julius Randle. Lol.
In other big news; the Warriors are trading Iguodala to Memphis. That blows. I loved Iggy and now he’s going to go and rot in Memphis.
Jimmy Butler being traded to Miami is a big move too. Not sure why Philly signed Horford though, but maybe he’s going to slot in at PF?
I think Kawhi goes to the Lakers, to be honest. I would like for him to stay in Toronto but would love for him to join the Knicks.
