I enjoyed the show, more so the second half of the PPV (Cody/Dustin, Young Bucks/Lucha Bros, Omega/Jericho), but the first half wasn't bad by any means either (kinda hope they keep T-Hawk around, wouldn't mind him and CIMA teaming up in the tag division).
While I do agree with RT, in regards to the throne/sledgehammer spot, what I really hated was them bringing in Awesome Kong. I should clarify, I'm OK with Awesome Kong coming in (and actually marked out, when she headed to the ring), what I hated, however, was how Kong barely did anything in the match.

Jack Whitehall on a Pro Wrestling show...nath45 being inconspicuous in recent days... Hmmm...how much did Khan pay you to consult NATH45? That even blew me away. On a side note, I hoped they’ve orchestrated an exit plan from ROH for Marty.

What do people think of Jericho's new finisher? You mean that elbow Almas does every week?

I found it weird that Omega would agree to losing to a debut finish. Logically you would get the move over in a lesser match first. Came across as an abrupt end. Great match though.

Release PAC while they’re at it. Ehh...not yet. They knew what kind of guy they were dealing with when they signed him and I think this is on AEW more than PAC. If PAC is saying he doesn't want to lose to Page, why not have the match go on as usual and do the whole spot they did in England at DON? PAC got himself DQ'd and then said his whole goal was to just injure Page. They could have done that in Vegas last night just as easily and it would have been way less messy. If they pitched him that idea or various other ideas and he shot them all down, then yeah, something needs to be done because PAC shouldn't be holding out on dates this early. Especially now that AEW has proven they don't need him as much as he thinks he does. But I think this was an easily avoidable situation that AEW didn't really anticipate and either should have seen this coming, talked to PAC sooner, or come up with a better plan B.

It seems at least after DoN the roster is on the same page, release PAC and make it clear to the locker room you won’t put up with that sort of BS. If he is already refusing to job for someone that AEW plans to push as a maineventer...on their first show it’s pretty telling that he’s not worth the hassle IMO. I enjoy his matches but he’s not Hogan.

He got over a little before the match plus I think it is better then the rainmaker which has knockout Kenny out I think.

CM Punk is totally going to be at “All In”. 100%.
He has to if AEW is legitimately going all in.

I understand that they built up the Judas Effect pretty well, but it's still a very anticlimatic finisher. Like nath45 said, it's a standard move a lot of wrestlers use. Sure, strike finishers are commonplace now, and Jericho is adapting to the times, but a spinning back elbow does not convince, even if he pinned Kenny Omega with it. Someone spinning an elbow in your face full force would knock you out, but it doesn't look good as a pro-wrestling finisher. That's my take.
I can understand why he would want a new finisher, though. The Boston Crab is sort of a relic of the past, and it's been whored out so much that nobody really buys it as a real finish. A lot of wrestlers are using a Codebreaker or a version of it, and not always as a finisher. And Jericho doesn't have the athleticism to start using a crazy flippy finisher. So logically, it makes sense. Still don't like it though.

As long as it isn't anything like the Stone Cold one it should be good. I assume he actually wants to be on this one though.

I think Jericho will win. Quick reign, and he'll put someone over on the next PPV. I don't think they'll pass up the opportunity to have an all time legend start the title lineage. Plus Page could benefit from a little more building up. Agreed. A major network TV Show launching with Adam Page as the world champ just sounds terrible. Launching with Jericho being chased by Moxley sounds like money. Lots of it.

He is on Talk is Jericho this week Sure that will be an interesting episode. I hope it leads to a lawsuit!!! Not gonna be anything new really. Regal got Moxley but Vince and creative did not so they killed the Sick Man gimmick. He tried to revive it with Lesner and everyone shut him down and the match was awful. He then waited out his contract, worked as a company man until the end, then left. I cannot wait until Moxley holds the belt and faces Havoc in a deathmatch. That will be off the hook given their long feud. For people who missed Moxley before WWE, CZW has his legendary match with Brain Damage up. To this day many fans believe he was crazy enough to take that saw ungimmicked. He wanted to use the belt stuff with Lesnar but got shut down. Moxley talking about the match. It is hilarious.

Also with how good Jericho and Mox are on the mic, there is no better match I can think of to book. They can go months odds are without having a match and still keep people entertained.

Wow, I absolutely loved this show. I haven’t followed the majority of these guys very closely at all so I’m interested to see whether they can hold my interest a few months down the line when they’re not all super fresh to me, but this was a great start. I can’t remember the last time I watched a full wrestling show from start to finish but this got me invested right from the start and barely lost my interest the entire time.
Cody vs Dustin was my favourite match. Really emotional, dramatic pro wrestling. Bucks vs Lucha Bros was probably my least favourite. Lots of spectacular stuff in there for sure, but I think they went a few near falls too long, and could have done a lot more with the storyline of the Bucks being not at their peak chemistry.
Overall I thought it was great though. Production was strong, JR wasn’t as bad as he has been in the last couple of years, the surprises were awesome and all the matches delivered in various ways. It felt fun and fresh, and that’s enough to keep me sticking around.

Meltzer apparently says preliminary estimates say 'above 200k buys'. Can a subscriber corroborate this? Seems ludicrous.
