Okay. So I haven’t smoked weed in 25 months. Yes. I count. I used to smoke 5-10 joints a day for fuck knows how many years and then stopped cold turkey. I even told myself this is my last joint when I smoked my last joint. So I have the right to keep track.
However, I’ve been feeling blah. I describe it as a “watching my life behind a plastic screen but stuck in my head.” I’m not as angry as I used to be which is awesome but I feel I’m also not as socialable as I used to be. I rarely start convos. I come off as a dick. And I have anxiety and have nothing wrong with my life.
So my sister also suffers from anxiety and she’s been telling me about this for months but I have ignored it because I don’t want to “rely” on something anymore.
But my wife and I did research since I had a pretty bad few days which resulted in a mini breakdown today and we have decided that I should give CBD a shot. So tomorrow I’m picking them up and hoping it takes this cover off my head and edge off my shoulder. I have no urge of wanting to feel high so I’m not setting myself up for disappointment. I know what I’m getting myself into and am hopeful.
Anyone use/try CBD gummies or oil? If so, how does it work? I know it’s good for pains and the heart as well so it seems like a great thing to do and you can’t fail a drug test which is awesome too. Just want some opinions on it.

Maybe you're not as social because being more content with you're life, you don't really need a tribe. That's what it is for me, I really enjoy great conversation but I don't need endless nattering for the sake of a social connection.
As for CBD, I'm not a fan of any sort of mood altering medication on a permanent basis. Anti depressants and mood stabilisers are great first aid but not a solution. Emotional and mental pain, like physical pain is a sign we need to change what we are doing or how we are doing it.

I imagine Kid marking each weedless day on a white board like a prisoner counting down his sentence.
Soon as it's legal in my state (or one nearby I guess) I'll pick up the slack. Maybe eat those gummies in the meantime.

CBD doesn't really seem to do much.
But actual weed gummies? Boy oh boy.
I'm no expert by any means, just dabbling and experimenting to see what works for me and how.
Sativa vs. Indica: Been warned that the former gives you more of that classic high and consequently can jack up the paranoia sensation. Fuck that. The latter has an effect on me like a weight blanket though. Powerfully effective for calming me down and ousting anxiety from my skull. Definitely love it, fear at times I might be addicted. Learned over the past few months that indica gummies offer easier dosing control that vaping or oils or whatever; pop two and I know exactly what to expect and when and for how long.
Highly (-_-) recommend.

Now we know the real reason you want that Luke Harper schedule!
Once I win the jackpot from my weekly scratch offs I'm going that route so I'm taking notes now.

The gummies never do much for me. Either they're too weak or I'm just not eating enough of them, probably because they're outrageously expensive.
I have yet to find anything that's knocked me on my ass like my buddy's dad's homemade peanut butter pot cookies.
Glad to hear they're working though, bud. Enjoy that feel!

Oh. I didn’t use gummies. I bought the vape oil. No THC.
Just CBD.
And it’s not supposed to knock you on your ass. I’m not trying to get high. Just relieve the anxiety off my shoulders and my head.
But its been an hour and I can feel it coming down.

So it took roughly an hour to lose that amazing feeing I had. It wasn’t a high. It was just a relaxed feeling. No stress. No pain. Just openness. Like everything felt brighter. Now it’s practically gone.
So my real verdict is; starts off great. Finishes off too quickly. An hour. It’s like smoking weed minus the giggles, munchies and grogginess afterwards.

But its been an hour and I can feel it coming down. Damn, how the hell I didn't see 'CBD' in the title is beyond me. This is why I shouldn't PW on my smoke break at work. CBD oils are amazing. My best friend was involved a bad motorcycle accident years ago and suffered a TBI. His mom's been treating his seizures with CBD oil and his episodes have drastically decreased over time. Thankfully medical dispensaries are finally opening up here in Ohio, so now she doesn't have to drive all the way to damn *ichigan to get it.

meditation, working a garden, spending time in nature, exercise, extrinsic goals, etc etc "The largest scientific study of using meditation as a treatment for depression found something really interesting. It turned out depressed people were significantly more likely to recover from depression if they went into an 8-week meditation training program then people in a control group who didn't. some 58% of the control group became depressed again while only 38% of the newly trained meditators did- a huge gap. Other studies have found meditation is similarly helpful for people with anxiety. One different study found that meditation works particularly well for people who developed depression as a result of abusive childhoods, they have a 10% higher improvement rate than others." "the scientific evidence is clear that exercise significantly reduces depression and anxiety" "In a state prison of southern Michigan in the 1970s because of the way the prison was built prisoners cells looked over rolling farmland and trees and half looked onto brick walls. you were 24% less likely to get physically or mentally sick if you looked over the natural landscape." Ask your Dr if exercise being in nature is good for you. "One study of depressed people in Norway found that therapeutic horticulture aka getting people to try gardening to improve their mental health moved people on average 4.5 points on the depression scale- more than double the effect of chemical depressants." Ask your doctor if gardening recommended for you. More on nature. ibb.co/kmbXkDc

I have zero history of abuse. This isn’t about abuse or traumas in my life. All my “mental traumas” have been fixed. I just have severe anxiety that’s unexplainable.
I definitely don’t need a therapist. That shits a sham. Tell another human being how I feel so they can bullshit me with their generic nonsense. There is no way another human being can “fix” my problem. Especially considering I am an Alpha in life. Never going to happen and never going to work. It’s not therapy I need.
It’s a mind relaxer. A stress reliever. I’m sure my years of partying like a rockstar has done some sort of damage to me which has led me to have anxiety and shit.

would you accept unexplained or unexplainable? We all have trauma in our lives and one person's trauma isn't the same as another's. It is indicative that you likely have some or else you wouldn't have focused on that out of all that posted. you aren't alpha, you have anxiety and need a drug to function like a normal. that's not alpha. that's beta. I am sure your years of partying like a rockstar are because you were self-medicating your anxiety from the trauma you have. recommended reading for the so called alpha that is damaged goods www.amazon.com/Lost-Connections-Uncovering-Depression-Unexpected/dp/163286830X“Robert Kohlenberg, a professor of psychology, once thought that depression and anxiety were different things. But as he studied it, he discovered that "the data are indicating they're not that distinct." Depression and anxiety overlap. I started to see depression and anxiety as cover versions of the same song by different bands. Depression is a cover version by a downbeat emo band, and anxiety is a cover version by a screaming heavy metal group, but the underlying sheet music is the same. They're not identical, but they are twinned.”

You’re basically why I won’t go to a therapist. It’s all nonsense you’re spewing. My “issues” aren’t this deep, dark cave I’m afraid to go into. And I didn’t party to cure my anxiety. I partied because it was fucking awesome to do. And once I realized my partying got out of control, I cleaned myself up. No therapy was needed because I am a fucking ALPHA.
I get what you’re trying to do but this isn’t that topic. My topic is on the awesomeness that is CBD.

ok you put in caps. I concede, you are total alpha.
"none of what I said is nonsense." I provided scientific and factual data with the ability to source the information. I am the credible hulk and you are a beta on drugs.
Be alpha, deal with your anxiety without the drugs. I can't help but laugh at someone claiming to be alpha or even the whole mention of being alpha. As soon as you said it you might as well typed everything in comic sans because it can't be taken seriously. Then you all capped it. Now you are typing in wingdings. Freaking clown shoes.
It's like watching the Jersey shore and they argue about who the realest is and who is more real. Alpha.

You literally have said absolutely nothing about the topic at hand. Have you even researched what CBD is? Or do you just assume it’s this drug that makes people feel “far out”? Because you coming in here like you’re a mental health expert makes you come off as holier then thou. Only time I stomp in a circle is when I’m stomping little know it alls like you out.

I ordered some gummies. Even if they don't work, they're still gummies!

It means you are ANXIOUS and there is a reason for that. Masking symptoms with drugs is not helpful long term. It's like the footballer who gets injections in a game to make it through the season while completely destroying their knee and shortening their career irrevocably. Pain is out body's way of saying stop, anxiety is our mind doing the same thing.

So we should ignore all the early stage benefits of CBD right? Seizures are just our bodies saying “shake shake shake!” and we should allow it. As for anxiety, we should just let ourselves be anxious or take prescribed meds from doctors that can get you addicted.
I just want to make sure I’m following all the detractors here.
