Even worse, Green Bay's run defense got exposed terribly.    Zeke had to have a hard on watching this game

Being a masochist I went back and watched a lot of the game again this morning because it was so BAD how we played against the run , and I'm putting a ton of the blame on Pettine for this one and his lack of adjustments. He loves to play the 6 defensive backs for coverage and blitzing reasons and that obviously makes us vulnerable to the run - it wasn't as bad when Greene was in there since he's a good in the box safety but with Redmond we just don't have the ability or oomph to get to the ball carrier and the Eagles were just running at the formation all night. It wasn't until later when Goodson got in there that we managed to get marginally better but he's got to make that adjustment sooner and I hope that he doesn't come out thinking he's going to stop Zeke with 6 DB's on the field 80% of the time. I'd expect Goodson to be on the field a lot sooner - also it would be GREAT if Burks ever got healthy and helped our LB depth.

Other than that the obvious struggles in the red zone were frustrating but Adams not being in there hurt as well. Still should have ran the ball but the defense didn't worry about getting beat off the break either and our guys couldn't get separation - which is Adams biggest asset. Sucks but it is what it is. They said this morning it's turf toe so hopefully he can gut it out like Julio a few years back. Our offense can't stand to lose him.

I think Adams (smartly) sits out next week against Dallas and comes back for MNF against Detroit. That gives him 18 days until his next time on the field. Turf toe is not a joke. No need to ruin the end of the season and playoffs. The Packers are going to be in big trouble against Zeke next week.

Speaking of trouble; UPSET ALERT! The Dolphins could win their first game this week. The Chargers are going to be WITHOUT Mike Williams, Travis Benjamin, Hunter Henry, Justin Jackson and Melvin Gordon. If ever there was a time for the Dolphins to win; it would be this week. That’s just the injuries to the offensive side. This could be ugly for the Chargers as they can fall to a 1-3 hole 25% into the season. Do not be surprised if Miami pulls off the victory.

I have a big fantasy football question regarding my money league. Here's my team right now:

QB- Rivers/Mayfield (blah)
RB- Melvin Gordon (woo!), Josh Jacobs, Chris Thompson, Devin Singletary, Alexander Mattison, Darrel Williams (solid group)
WR- Adams (hurt), OBJ, Mecole Hardman
TE- Engram, Waller, Herndon
K- Tucker
DEF- CHICAGO


So now I've been planning for Golden Tate coming back. So I snatched up Herndon from waivers this week and have put Evan Engram on the trade block. Now I have a friend who's telling me not to trade Engram because he's going to have a career year and to trade Waller. Now the problem with trading Waller is that people don't buy into him as much for some reason, even though he's TE3 right now on a depleted offense. So best offer I got for Waller is Scary Terry in which I declined because I have enough rookies on my team. So when I mentioned the two trade offers I received so far, my friend told me to 'sell higher' and not for injury prone WRs like I was offered. So here's the offers.


- Allen Robinson.
- Best WR in Chicago, but is severely handicapped by Mitch Trubisky being a bum.
- AR has potential, though, especially in PPR format.


- Stefon Diggs.
- A 3rd round pick in the draft that the owner has already given up on. Selling him low right here, but is he?
- Best reason to make this trade is I face this team Week 11 when Engram is on a BYE.
- Bad thing is, the Vikings have become an extremely run-heavy team that has depleted the value of Diggs & Thielen.


- Evan Engram.
- Currently the TE1 in fantasy football after 3 weeks.
- The Giants LOST Saquon Barkley so Engram becomes the safety valve.
- Golden Tate comes back Week 5, slightly diminishing the targets headed to Engram.... or do they?
- Adams injury may last a few weeks or no weeks at all. Mecole Hardman's value decreases when Cheetah returns, too. Waiver wire is depleted at WR.


So what do you guys think?

Having enough rookies on your team is a silly reason not to pull off that trade , Terry is awesome and the only real threat in Washington whether he's a rookie or not. And even if Haskins gets in there , they have an obvious connection so there really shouldn't be a dropoff.

I'd definitely trade Waller over Engram though , I had the same situation with the same guys and traded Waller. It was hard because he's awesome but I got a good package for him and some other pieces. (It ended up being David Johnson , Gardner Minshew and Waller for Rodgers , Adams and Royce Freeman) to a guy who really needed a running back and tight end and I really wanted an upgrade at quarterback since it's a two QB league.

Anyways point being unless you plan on starting Waller at flex than take a deal. If you think Waller is a better flex than McLauring than don't do it.

I don't love Diggs or Robinson though , McClauring is clearly the best option of the three.

Shit. I forgot about the Haskins/Terry history. Super true. Not like Rudolph/Washington is paying off in Pitt, but still. Terry is battling a nagging injury though so I'll see how he looks this Sunday while watching and disecting the Giants game.

But I like the trade you pulled off.

For me, it's a DOUBLE FLEX league so I've been flexing Waller every week along with Mecole (2/3) and Singletary (1).

I think the safest bet is to wait for Herndon to play, see if I can flip him instead after a hopeful Week 6 TD.

I picked up Herndon immediately after trading Waller , just because Engram does have an injury history.

You should see if you can do Waller/Hardman for an even better receiver. Maybe in the Brandin Cooks range or maybe a Lockett or someone who can help you more long term. Hardman's value is as high as it's ever going to be and it might not last long. Package him with someone and get a really good receiver. Maybe even Kupp could be had if the dude needs a tight end.

My cousin has Kupp and he'll never do a trade with me. He always think I'm trying to scam him. I offered him OBJ for Fournette/Kupp after Week 1 and he turned it down. It's a hard league to trade in since it's 12 man $200 league with friends or friends of friends. It's not like a Yahoo $ league where I pulled off the Kamara/Hooper for Adams/Lenny/Kelce trade. People veto and assume collusion all the time even though there has yet to be any collusion in the 4-5 years the leagues been running.

But yeah; maybe I'll try a Waller/Hardman package. I don't really like Cooks because he's too boom or bust for me. Woods is having a down year so far so I'm not sure if I like him. I'll certainly test the market after this weekend.

My $350 dollar Two QB league trades are a plenty. No veto options and everything (unless it’s obvious) is fair game. Collusion is obvious but not all lopsided trades are collusion.

Same with my $200 league I’ve been in for 14 years , no veto options. Trades don’t happen enough there anymore though and I might begrudgingly drop that league.

Yeah. There’s two POS kids in the league that veto everything and bitch and complain every time a trade is made. One of them swears you should just draft your team and ride it out with waiver pick ups. I literally want to fist fight him every season. Especially bc it only takes 4 vetoes to veto a trade and these two are always a guaranteed 2.

We had 3 people leave the league after last year because of the in-house fighting. 1 of the 3 who left won the chip last year and finished 2nd three seasons ago. He just didn’t like how un-fun the league became.

I’ve literally finished 3rd place two seasons in a row so I’m hoping I get over that semi finals hump this year.

Yeah you just got to be more vigilant over who’s in your league or the leagues you play. I’ve only been apart of one league I didn’t enjoy and like I said the one league I’m in has been for YEARS and my Two QB league I’ve been in for three years and we never have a ton of turnover because it runs pretty smooth.

Really it’s up to the commish to just lay down the law.
