WEEK 7 kicks off with a Thursday Night AFC West showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos enter this game after a 23-0 shutout of the Tennessee Titans. They looked dominant on defense and now they get to really test their defense against the top dogs in the WEST. The surprisingly 4-2 Kansas City Chiefs who will be entering this game on a 2 game losing streak. A 2 game losing streak that Andy Reid hasn't experienced since 2017. Now they will try and fight off a 2-4 team and stop their losing streak from hitting 3. They will once again be without Sammy 'The Bust' Watkins. Will Travis Kelce finally show up? Will Joe Flacco be able to tear through the Chiefs secondary? Will the Kansas City Chiefs bounce back and show the Broncos who the best really is? Will the defense of the Broncos come out and duplicate what the Colts did to KC 2 weeks ago? Because that's the only way they're winning it. Because there is no way they're winning a shootout. Should be fun and if it's not close; well at least we get to watch the Patrick Mahomes Show. Can't complain about that.
SNF will feature a showdown between the top 2 (albeit disappointing) NFC East teams in Dallas and Philadelphia. Injuries have begun hitting the Cowboys. Randall Cobb is still questionable and now Amari Cooper joins him. Which if we're being honest was only a matter of time before something happened to Amari. Dak Prescott is going to have to earn this contract and find a way to take advantage of Philadelphias weak secondary even if he's without both Cooper and Cobb for this game. The Cowboys will need to find a way to get Zeke going because he has been as underwhelming as the team so far. He got his money and now he needs to perform. The Eagles have not looked great this year. Desean Jackson 'might' come back for this game. Miles Sanders has looked better and will need to be utilized more now with the injuries to Clement and Sproles. Zack Ertz hasn't been a top tier TE so far this year. Their run D has been solid, but their secondary has given them no chance. This will be a huge game as only 1 team will walk out with a winning record. The NFC East is wide open and whoever comes out of this game will be the front runner to win it. Will the Cowboys snap out of a 3 game skid or will the Eagles take back what belongs to them?
The week comes to an end on MNF with an AFC East showdown where Blindy will be blowing kisses to the returning Sam Darnold. A team that looked absolutely awful looked absolutely awesome (until the fourth quarter near collapse) with Sam Darnold back at the helm. These last second collapses just feel so NY Jets. They should've won Week 1, but didn't. They ended up losing the lead, the game and Mono Darnold. Now they got their first win and they love the feeling. Waiting for them in Foxborough is the only undefeated team in the AFC, the #1 defense in the NFL, the defending reigning Super Bowl Champions; The New England Patriots. Yes, they've looked beatable but they haven't been beat. That shows how this team always finds a way to win. If you make 1 mistake against this team, you put yourself in a hole. If you make a 2nd mistake, then it's over. The Patriots do need to figure out their offense as it's been unimpressive and now with Josh Gordon injured, they're going to need help from Meyers. Maybe they shouldn't have traded Demarius Thomas to the Jets.... who will obviously score a TD this week. I am fired up for this game. Tom 'THE GOAT' Brady vs Sammy 'The Spleen' Darnold! LET'S GO!
In other big games, we get the San Francisco 49ers looking to remain undefeated as they take on an awful Washington Redskins team. Should be a dominant performance. Go pduh !
We also get to see how the Lions bounce back after getting their hearts ripped out by a 'dazzle of zebras' (you like that?). They will have to face the much happier Minnesota Vikings. You like that? *wink*
The Packers take on Chucky and the Raidahz as they have more problems now with Trent Brown stuck in a domestic violence accusation. Will the Raiders remain a surprise in the NFL or will they fall victim to Discount 'Hands to the face' Double Check Aaron Rodgers? Very excited to see Aaron Jones vs Josh Jacobs in this one. And oh how I hope Davante Adams can 'step' it up and play in this game. A dream match up without Allison. COME BACK NOW!
Teddy and the Saints take on the Chicago Bears and we 'might' see Mitch Trubisky returning for this one. Will the undefeated streak for Bridgewater continue in the Windy City or will it get MACK'd up. Should be a good one. The Saints might be without Alvin Kamara for this one. Looking likely as the Saints have just signed RB Zack Zenner. @theshow aint going to like that. BUT if Alvin Kamara is not 100% then there's no reason to throw him out there against that bad ass defense.
The Miami Dolphins try and get their first win of the year against their division rival Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals try and do the same against The Mustache Man and the Jacksonville Jaguars who have officially traded away Jalen Ramsey. I doubt either two pick up their first win, but a Cincinnati win would not surprise me that much.
The Rams are the team that got Ramsey and like CM Punk'd said, that back must be magically healed for Ramsey now. Dan Quinn could be coaching for his job so if the Falcons lose to the Rams, the noise might get super loud in the A-T-L.
We get Lamar vs Russ as the Ravens and Seahawks square off with two of the best running teams in the NFL. This should be some good ol' fashion football. Russell Wilson will look to add more stripes to his bid to be the MVP this season.
Last but not least, we get the red hot Houston Texans who will be taking on the Indianapolis Colts in a huge AFC South match up. Both teams are coming off of wins against the Chiefs and the Colts are coming off their BYE. This should be another awesome game that we have for Week 7.
It is a stacked week of great football match ups. Probably the best of the season so far. Can't wait! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!
