A MRSA outbreak and fining a guy with a torn labrum for not playing aren’t remotely the same thing, but I also don’t remember the last time a guy hit free agency and was like “know what I wanna do, sign with Tampa” Suh, Desean Jackson chose Tampa Bay. High profile FAs of their free agency. Again I dont think it's the worth the trouble because Osemele doesnt want it so I think he isnt worth this headache but this same organization found out Darnold had mono and proected him until he was cleared. They are shutting Mosely down for good with his groin reaggravated. I dont think Douglas wants to cave into a guy who opted for shoulder surgery once benched due to performance.

I dont think Douglas wants to cave into a guy who opted for shoulder surgery once benched due to performance. That’s moronic. Does he have a torn labrum? Yes. Does it need surgery? Yes. Do doctors say so? Yes. Arguing against doing it for any reason is idiocy.

And he took painkillers and pills to better the pain to play but once his play faltered(due to the injury?) that had the LG position ranked 32nd according to footballoutsiders...but once the team went with someone else, he decided to opt for opinions to get surgery. If hes allowed to get surgery what's stopping other teammates from making sure their healthy rather than compete on a losing team or when the going gets tough?

I am not sure that they shouldn’t. But no one is suggesting he’s fabricating an injury to take things easy. The facts of the case are that the Jets traded for a lineman they knew to have a torn labrum, got mad he wasn’t as good with that torn labrum, and are refusing to allow him to get that torn labrum repaired.
If you got a guy sitting out for a hangnail or flulike symptoms maybe I’m more sympathetic to your point. This guy has a torn shoulder and the team is demanding he be available to play a lineman position no matter how many doctors he finds to say he needs surgery.
(Also if the team thinks he’s a bad player with the injury, they’re really just being cheap by not just putting him on IR and bringing in a different lineman they won’t play)

Let's get back to the predictions for how this weekend unfolds.
The Marlon Mack Truck runs all over Denver; Indy's D dominates Flacco - The Indianapolis Colts come off back to back big victories and take complete advantage of a team that's falling apart. This game will be low scoring and close for about 3 quarters and then in the 4th quarter, Marlon Mack will take over. After going into the 4th quarter tied at 10, Marlon Mack goes off for 70 yards and 2 TDs in the final frame alone finishing with 115 yards and 2 TDs. The final one set up by an interception that gets taken to the 10 yard line. Joe Flacco continues to struggle to move this offense and the loss of Emmanuel Sanders doesn't help. The Indianapolis Colts are legit. Colts def. Broncos 24-10
Ryan Tannehill is the 2015 draft slayer; Jameis throws 3 picks - After taking Marcus Marriotas job and picking up a victory, Tannehill leads 'his' Titans to another victory putting Marriotas fellow draft classmens job in danger. The Titans look rejuvenated on offense and their defense dominates Jameis Winston who throws for 215 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs. I was excited for the Bruce Arians Buccaneers, but they are as inconsistent as they come. They live and in this case die by Jameis Winston. Ryan Tannehill throws for 305 yards and 3 TDs. Adam Humphries has a big revenge game performance going 8/125/2 in this one. This game will not be close as the Titans put up the most points they've put up since Week 1's dominating performance over the Browns. The Titans start looking like a contender again. Titans def. Buccaneers 34-17
Eagles fly during in-house turmoil; Josh Allen unable to win game in final minute - The Philadelphia Eagles have had a lot of negative energy surrounding their team as of late. The noise got louder after they were spanked by the Cowboys and released Scandrick. A verbal attack on Howie Roseman and Malcolm Jenkins ensued. The Eagles have had no problem releasing defensive players every week after failing to perform. They are trying to find themselves defensively no matter the cost. The Bills have been one of the most surprising teams of the season with their only loss thus far being to division rivals, the undefeated Patriots. However, their struggles (mostly Josh Allen) offensively might come back to bite them in the ass. Their defense will keep this game close, but Carson Wentz will lead a huge game winning drive that he finishes off with a TD pass (because fuck overtime!) to the strangely invisible Zack Ertz who finishes this game with 3 catches, 52 yards and THIS GW TD. Josh Allen gets the ball back with 1:15 left, but fails to get his team into the end zone for the win as the drive ends with an interception from none other then Malcolm Jenkins. The Eagles quiet the noise for another week and the Bills suffer their second loss. Sorry RT. Eagles def. Bills 17-13
Melvin Gordon comes ALIVE; Bears offensive struggles lead to another loss - The Bears defense did NOT look like the Bears defense last week. They got run through by Latavius Murray. Prior to that, Josh Jacobs did the same thing to them in London. Their struggles against the run could be the perfect spot for the Chargers to finally get as run game going. With Keenan Allen (once again) injured and probably playing at limited snaps (if he plays at all), the run game will be crucial in this one if the Chargers want to shake off the heartbreaking loss from the previous week. A hard game to predict as this game could be a get right game for the Bears offensively and defensively, but I've got zero faith in Mitch Trubisky and that offense to do anything. Melvin Gordon eclipses 100 yards rushing here and gets into the end zone. Rivers hits Mike Williams for his only TD pass of the game and Ekeler gets a rushing TD as well. Trubisky continues to overthrow defenders and their season starts to fall apart completely. Chargers def. Bears 21-10
Teacher beats student; Rams keep the Bengals winless - If you are a Bengals fan, the move from Marvin Lewis to Zack Taylor had to have given you hope for a good season. After keeping it close Week 1 against Seattle, nobody could imagine the Bengals being winless this deep into the season. Well if you think Zack Taylors revenge game here will be their first win, you are sadly mistaken. Joe Mixon has been useless this year as the O-Line has been atrocious. The Rams are going to have a field day here, but expect Zack Taylor to pull off one magical trick play here to get them into the end zone early. However, it will be the only time they score or get close to scoring. Rams dominate this one and even rookie Henderson gets in on the fun and scores his first career TD. Rams def. Bengals 38-7
Seahawks dismantle Falcons; Quinn coaches final game for ATL - The streak continues here for Matt Ryan as he refuses to miss a game. However, this game gets ugly before the half and Matt Schaub takes over in the 2nd half of the season. Russell Wilson throws for 225 yards and 2 TDs, but doesn't have to do much in this game as the running game takes over. Dan Quinn coaches his final game for the Falcons and all he is remembered for in his tenure is the choke job in the Super Bowl. The Atlanta Falcons head into their bye week with a coaching vacancy and only 1 win. The Seahawks continue to march towards the playoffs with their eyes still set on the division title. Seahawks def. Falcons 38-17
Teddy finally loses and Cards win 4th in a row; Kyler Murray STARS - There has been talks about Brees and Kamara being game time decisions for this game, but it would realistically be dumb for them to get rushed out a week before their BYE. The Arizona Cardinals will probably (smartly) be without David Johnson this week as well as we get Chase Edmonds vs Latavius Murray in this one. Arizona has quietly won 3 in a row and I have a gut feeling they make it 4 in this one finally snapping Teddy's surprising undefeated season. If you told a Saints fan, they would head into their bye week 6-2 when Brees got injured, they would be stoked. But all will be fine after their BYE as they get Brees and Kamara back. Kyler Murray will star in this game throwing for 2 TDs and running 1 in. Latavius and Edmonds will each have a rushing TD as well and the Cards win a surprisingly high scoring affair. Cardinals def. Saints 34-27
CMC gets shut down; SF remains undefeated - I want to start by saying this; IF CMC LEADS THE PANTHERS TO A VICTORY OVER THE 49ERS, HE IS THE MVP OF THIS SEASON. DONE DEAL. But, I just don't see it happening. The 49ers will be in a tight game against a great defense in Carolina, but in the end the Niners D is just too damn good. The Panthers have had the BYE week to plan for this match up, but with CMC being planned against, Kyle Allen will fail to guide his team to any TDs in this one. Just like Teddy Bridgewater, I think the undefeated streak of Kyle Allen comes to an end while the undefeated season for the 49ers continues. I sense a low scoring game, but Jimmy G makes more plays against the Panthers D then Allen does against the 49ers D. A low scoring affair is decided by Carolina failing to get into the end zone at all. pduh is pumped up! 49ers def. Panthers 20-9
Watson continues where Rodgers left off; Raiders can't keep up - The Raiders were looking like a feel good story but back to back throttlings they will have received after this week become very damning for their season. After Aaron Rodgers went off last week on their defense, I expect Deshaun Watson to continue where he left off. Deshaun Watson will tear this secondary apart and throw for 380 yards and 4 TD passes in this one. The Raiders will try their best as Derek Carr throws for 325 yards and 3 TDs in this one, but their defense just can't stop Houston who will drop a 50 bomb on the Raidahz. Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs and Renfrow each have a receiving TD in this one. Hopkins has 2 for Houston and Stills and Keke each catch 1. The Houston Texans go throughout the whole game without punting once. A dominant win for Houston in an exciting game for fantasy football owners. Texans def. Raiders 52-27
The Browns keep it close; Patriots D help them remain undefeated - The Browns come into this game off of their BYE and keep this game tight throughout. It will be the most points the Patriots have given up this season, but in the end, the Patriots find a way to win in Foxborough. Baker Mayfield actually throws for 3 TDs in this one, but a crucial interception in the 4th quarter sets the Patriots up in position to score and put the game out of reach. There are no moral victories in this one, because the Browns blow another opportunity late for a win. Patriots def. Browns 34-21
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Aaron Rodgers too much for Andy Reid; Packers win - Andy Reid has made a name for himself by the way he treats his backup QBs and always gameplans around their skills. Unlike any game this season, Andy Reid will try a conservative game plan that will keep this one low scoring t the half. But once the 2nd half kicks off, Aaron Rodgers takes over. He will have an opportunity for another monster performance against this weak secondary of the Chiefs, but it will be his clutch plays that give them the win. The Chiefs suffer another loss, but fortunately for them, they still have a tight grasp on their division. The primetime games go 0-2 for failing to deliver. Packers win 31-17
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL No magic for Fitzpatrick; Steelers D keep Miami winless - To wrap up the week, we live by the name of this thread. Boring ass primetime games. The Miami Dolphins try to win their first game of the season on primetime television, but stand no chance against this underrated yet very good Steelers defense. Another "revenge" game here has Fitzpatrick (Minkah) pick off Fitzpatrick (Ryan) for a pick 6 on the first drive of the game for Miami. In the end, Ryan Fitzpatrick throws 3 interceptions and is benched in the 4th quarter for Josh Rosen who gives the Steelers their 4th interception of the night (2nd by Minkah). The Steelers offensively have no problem running the ball down the throats of Miami and this one is a blowout early and throughout. Thanks for the awesome primetime games this week, NFL. Much appreciated! Steelers def. Dolphins 38-3

But why not wait until after your BYE which is literally next week before risking another freak injury to him. You’re 6-1 and at worst you go 6-2 before your BYE which you would’ve taken the moment Brees got hurt.

Osemele cut, finally. Let him get his money and that's it. Much better to have someone hungrier for a 53 man spot and someone who might be here in the future. What a waste of a draft pick, waste of time and waste of a roster spot. Your welcome Mayock.

But why not wait until after your BYE which is literally next week before risking another freak injury to him. You’re 6-1 and at worst you go 6-2 before your BYE which you would’ve taken the moment Brees got hurt. So every team should sit their quarterback the game before bye as to not risk a freak injury? In your words. If a player is healthy and cleared there’s no need to sit him for a game in fear of a freak injury , which by the very definition is unpredictable and could happen to anyone at anytime.

If my QB hurt his finger that forced him to meet multiple games, then I would 100% bench him the final game before the BYE especially when his replacement (Bridgewater) is currently undefeated. I just don't get the logic of it. You're giving his finger 2 extra weeks of rest before you come back into war.

His finger is completely fine now though.... that’s the point. You don’t sit healthy HOF quarterbacks for no reason. And yes... there is no reason to if healthy.

I would get it if they weren’t 6-1 and were 4-3 or 3-4 trying to be in a better place heading into their BYE. I don’t know. Maybe you’re right since it’s “only” a finger and not a knee or some shit but I don’t know. Maybe I’m old now and think too much about safety and future repercussions.
Last thing the Saints need is another fucked up thing to cost them a chance in the Super Bowl.

If he were going to play at 75% I’d get your POV , but there is no reason to think he is and by being 100% there isn’t going to be an increased risk of reinjury so you don’t just sit him because there is a bye coming up. That makes no sense what so ever if he’s going to be just as healthy in Week 9 as Week 7.

Now they're saying Drew Brees is expected to play tomorrow. Interesting, yet dumb. If the team doctors and trainers cleared him and your starting HoF QB says he is ready to go, you put him in. Period. You do not cut him off at the nuts like that by keeping him on the bench.
