ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?! We have reached the 8th week of the football season and we can sort of already tell who are the good teams and who are the bad teams. The football season hasn't been that exciting yet to be honest. I guess having the big markets like NY and Pittsburgh suck have made this season not too fun. New England is eating up an insanely easy schedule. San Francisco has been tearing shit up defensively but have looked anemic offensively. The Bears and Chargers are falling apart. The Packers and Saints are putting on clinics on both sides of the ball. Dallas is doing well. Kyler Murray is on a 3 game winning streak. Mahomes is hurt ruining some fun. The Rams have regressed drastically, as well. Anyways, let's get to the games and let's talk about how blah these Primetime games are this week. Adrian Peterson rushes for 100 yards on former team; Kirk Cousins gets last laugh - We start off with this boring ass game we have on tap for tonight. I'm sure when the schedulers booked it, they were hoping the Redskins were a competitive enough franchise where this game could be enticing. A revenge game! Adrian Peterson versus his former team. Kirk Cousins versus his former team. An absolute blood fest! But it probably wont be that exciting. I'm going to predict, for the sake of some excitement, that Adrian Peterson breaks free for a 70 yard TD run in this game and musters about 108 rushing yards altogether in his revenge game. However, the Redskins struggle to move the ball much more then that. Scary Terry is shut down for most of the game and the Redskins barely manage to stop Kirk Cousins from dropping 5 TDs. This will probably be a blowout by the middle of the 3rd quarter tonight. No Thielen, no problem for Kirk and Co. I'm projecting Kirk Cousins to throw for 315 yards and 4 TDs as Diggs, Rudolph, Bisi and Mattison all score in the air. We'll add a Dalvin 100 yard rushing day and a TD in here as well. This one's going to be ugly, but that's what a crappy franchise in Washington deserves. Vikings def. Redskins 45-10
The Lions 'Kerryon' without Johnson; Stafford dominates and Dimes struggles - The Danny Dimes Experience was supposed to really kick off last week, but it didn't. This would be a perfect opportunity for him to rebound as the Lions come in confused after trading away Diggs for pennies. However, Barkley is playing banged up and there's only so much Golden Tate can do in his revenge game (7 catches, 121 yards, 1 TD). The Lions decide to go against a heavy run game here and hand the keys to Stafford and he goes off. Marvin the Martian follows his 4 TD performance game with a 2 TD game and Kenny G grabs one himself. Matthew Stafford tears up the Giants secondary for 410 yards and 4 TDs. The Giants can't keep up. I truly believe the Lions are better then their record and had they not blown their win against Arizona and *ahem, ahem* got screwed by the refs in Green Bay, they could be heading into this game with a 4-2 record. Nonetheless, they are where they are and they get a much needed win here. The Eli Manning whispers begin getting louder. Lions def. Giants 34-17
More 'ghosts' for Darnold; this one has a mustache - I believe Sam Darnold has a better game here, because it can't get worse. However, his 'get right' game is not going to be against Jacksonville. I do believe Leveon Bell has his best game this season against a poor Run D, but in the end, it's about getting into the end zone more and I feel the Jets will find a way to lose this one. It will probably be a close game, but the Jaguars are just more exciting and are the type of team to lead a game winning drive down field that he'll cap off with a game winning TD pass to DJ Chark (doo doo doo doo dooo) and Blindy will go mad! Sam Darnold will get the ball with 35 seconds left, but will be unable to move them all the way down field. A bomb to Robbie Anderson gets picked off capping his day with 1 TD pass and 2 interceptions. Another day of 'Ls' for the New York football teams. Jaguars def. Jets 21-17
You know what, fuck it. Let's talk about the week. I'll give my other predictions tomorrow or some shit. Too busy at work and it's starting to annoy me. So I covered Thursday Nights and the NY games so far with my predictions.

Apparently Mahomes is practicing and they haven't commited to saying he's out. I really want to see Rodgers/Mahomes battle it out but I also don't want to lose a 48-45 games. Other than that I don't understand why the Chiefs would think about putting him out there in a game that ultimately doesn't matter as much to them , behind a bad offensive line and against a team who's biggest strength on defense is rushing the passer. The Smith Brothers would beat the shit out of him and I don't want to see that either. Mahomes is good for the league and we can see Rodgers v Mahomes in a few months when it matters most.

Another 'DNP' for Davante. I guess a Sunday Night showdown with the Chiefs is not enticing enough for Davante Adams to stop being a bitch. UT SO HERE IS MY WEEKLY FANTASY COMPLAINING/EXPLAINING: So I'm in 4 money leagues. 1 big money. 3 small money Yahoo ones. I'm currently top 4 in all 3 Yahoo leagues. 1st, 2nd and 4th respectively. So let's talk. My 4th place team (4-3): QB: Kirk Cousins (Kyler Murray, Josh Allen) RB: Chase Edmonds, JD McKissic (Melvin Gordon, Alexander Mattison, Derrius Guice IR) WR: Julio Jones, OBJ (Kenny Stills) TE: Darren Waller AND Evan Engram FLEX: Either Engram OR Kenny Stills; not sure yet, maybe I bench Waller K: Jason Myers (1 week rental with Justin Tucker on BENCH) DEF: Chicago Bears I drafted Kerryon Johnson in that one (3rd round) and am now stuck with blah RBs. I had 10th pick in 10 person draft. This wouldn't be bad if Chase takes over in Arizona and is great. However, like almost everywhere, I have a Melvin Gordon problem. So I might be benching Melvin there for McKissic if I get a gut feeling the day of. I'm 4-3 there and in 4th in a 3 way tie with 5th and 6th but have more points scored. I'm also starting Cousins at QB this week as a FA rental over Kyler Murray and Josh Allen. With me luck, this one wont be easy. My opponent has Russel Wilson, Fournette, S. Diggs, Kenny G and Deandre Hopkins so they'll be eating. Sigh, I'm fucked. I'm a 12 point underdog and am expecting an L there. Let's hope I can pull off a miracle here and pull off a stunner. My 2nd place team (5-2): QB: Deshaun Watson (Kyler Murray) RB: Leonard Fournette, Austin Ekeler (Chase Edmonds, Latavius Murray, Alexander Mattison) WR: OBJ, Chris Godwin (DAVANTE ADAMS~!, Dede Westbrook) TE: Travis Kelce FLEX: Davante Adams~! OR Murray/Edmonds maybe K: Kai Fairbarn (1 week rental for Justin Tucker) DEF: Pittsburgh Steelers (I've been playing the wire and they got Miami, so perfect!)This is my most complete team. I have the most points scored, but have lost my 2 games by a combined 4.4 points! Despicable! But the reason my roster is so stacked is because this is the league I traded Kamara, Hooper and Crowder for Adams, Lenny and Kelce. So far it's paid off, although Hooper has been a lot better then I expected him to continue being. Adams has missed games, but Kamara is doing the same which works out for me since I have great depth at WR here. I think this team has the potential to win it all. This week I'm a 2 point favorite going against a team led by Stafford, Saquon, Todd Gurley and Mike Evans. Not too frightening and he's in 9th place so I'm hoping it's an easy win. 1st place team (5-2): QB: Deshaun Watson (Jameis Winston) RB: Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley (Tevin Coleman, Melvin Gordon, Damien Williams, Mattison and McKissic) WR: Dede Westbrook, Keke Coutee (Auden Tate) TE: Evan Engram FLEX: 1 of my bench RBs; leaning on Tevin right now but might switch K: Matt Prater DEF: Pittsburgh Steelers (same as last team)
The crazy part is the seeds from 2 to 6 are all 4-3 and 3 of them have more points scored then me. So a loss here and I could fall down to the 4 seed or 5th which is out of the playoffs. I'm a 2 point underdog and my opponent has TB12, Edelman, Keenan Allen, James Conner and Kupp leading the way. I honestly think I can beat him, but I'm facing Barkley in TWO leagues this week so I don't know how much I want from him also. So much Saquon going on. I need this win to remain atop this league. My opponent is in last place. This SHOULD be a victory. MY BIG LEAGUE: 5th place team (4-3) QB: Ryan Tannehill (Sam Darnold.... sigh) RB: Josh Jacobs, Chase Edmonds (Melvin Gordon, McKissic, Edmonds, Mattison) WR: OBJ, Keke (DAVANTE ADAMS~!, Auden Tate) TE: Evan Engram AND Darren Waller FLEX1: One of my TEs OR Davante Adams~! FLEX2: Either Melvin or Edmonds especially if DJ sits) K: Myers (Justin Tucker on BYE on bench) DEF: Pittsburgh Steelers (Benching Chicago for this one)
6 people make the playoffs here; 12 person league. AND FYI; I won by 80+ last week thanks to Chase Edmonds and Darren Waller balling out. I did start Duke Williams (and his 1 reception!) over guys such as Preston Williams, James Kumerow and Kenny fucking Stills who was on waiver wire so I did make another dumb fucking move. Now I'm stuck in QB hell as I gave up on Jimmy G and have moved on to Tannehill for this match up against TB. I might switch and put in Derek Carr though against Houston in hopes of a shoot out. I don't know yet. I'm currently in 5th place with a showdown against a 3rd place team who has Russel Wilson, Chris Godwin, Kenny Golloday, Saquon Barkley and Aaron Jones coming up. SMH. Sometimes I get mad at myself for having such a bad draft. I normally kill it in drafts, but I went Adams/OBJ/Jacobs/Melvin/Engram in my first 5 rounds and have to face guys with rosters like this. Now I have to start planning for Adams to miss another Sunday and figure out my RB situation. AND Josh Jacobs might not play this week and neither should David Johnson so my RB core is looking like Edmonds/McKissic here too. GRRRRRRR! I wont even really be home this Sunday to watch these games, either due to 'family fun day' so at least I wont have to make myself sick watching this shit unfold. *exhales*And there.

Mahomes never should have played that Thursday night game. Such a stupid decision to not let him rest for the big show down against Rodgers. Buffalo has Philly this week and I’m not super confident about it. They really should beat Philly but I have no idea what kind of team they are this year. This is must win time for Buffalo. They have Philly and Washington at home, then Cleveland and Miami on the road. After that it’s Denver, trip to Dallas for Thanksgiving, Baltimore at home then go to Pittsburgh. THEN they play in NE before hosting the Jets to finish the season. They need to be at 8-1 or 7-2 before entering that stretch if they want to ensure a playoff spot, I think. I can easily see them dropping 3 or 4 out of those 5 games before they play the Jets. It’s going to be really interesting to see how they end up this year. It could be their best season in literal decades, or completely blow up in their face. Clinch your spot as soon as you fucking can while you’re schedule is still easy. DO IT.

I don’t think Buffalo beats Philly, to be honest. I just don’t have the feeling they will. They’re going to need Josh Allen to play exceptionally well and beat them through the air and I don’t know if he has the weapons and accuracy to take advantage of that poor secondary.
This feels like a bounce back game for Philly to me.

Big test for the 49ers this Sunday playing against the Panthers at home. Look like couple or so reinforcements will or may returns 49ers long snapper Nelson will return from his suspension and Deebo who was out last Sunday return to practice should be ready to go for this Sunday.
Also Joe Staley return to practice but is questionable for this Sunday game…
looking forward to see how Sanders will do for this offense…

The Patriots are savages.
They just traded Michael Bennett to the Dallas Cowboys for a 7th round pick. Unbelievable.

Probably not a wise idea to try and block Danielle Hunter with a WR. Strip sack good for my fantasy team though.

Just getting home for this game and it don’t look like I’ve missed much. Surprised it’s 3-3 in the 2nd quarter though. I really thought Cousins was going to light this shit up.

He hit a big play to Diggs earlier but the ball got punched out from behind when he was running for YAC. Washington is playing with some heart though - Keenum & AP revenge game so they're trying hard.

I hope Cousins gets in the end zone before the half.

Vikings have got a couple of great looking rookies with Mattison and Irv Smith, more riches for a team already blessed with talent at the skill positions.
This turned out to be a closer game than expected, just wonder what would have happened if Keenum wasn't knocked out of the game because he played well in the first half. Haskins interception was such a turning point right when they had the chance to seize all the momentum.

There haven’t been many situations in the NFL that have made a team look worse than this standoff between the Jets and Keleche Osemele. Ownership needs to fire everyone involved immediately. The thinking within the team is that the minute he got demoted due to poor play and after weeks of being held off from playing in a majority of preseason snaps(Which he had a say in along with the team), Osemele opted to go for shoulder surgery in prep for the 2020 FA. So the Jets wasted draft pick ammo for someone to essentially rehab under their watch. Pitiful by all really. I don't think it is worth the hassle but Osemele is not an angel in this either. He took his ball and chain when they gave Alex Lewis the nod at LG and he chose to go for surgery. Far cry from the Trent Williams debacle in DC IMHO but yeah I agree with you, it is senseless. I would not fire newly appointed GM Joe Douglas though, he didn't bring Osemele in. Seems more like a Gase/team doctors move which he has never been a player's coach so again if he's one and done, that's cool with me. I don't follow the Raiders but he also had a wrap on him that he sat out games instead of playing through which helped send him a one way ticket to NY(Along with his salary). Seems like he has a history of not wanting to play through. I think his airing out on IG is a terrible look if he wants to play ever again in the NFL though, Jets have tried to not discuss anything with this and Osemele has taken everything to the media and now social media to win his case via pressure.

I’d fire anyone remotely related. It’s not about who brought in Osemele or who cleared him in the trade, it’s about the impression that the team is going to fine you unless you play through a torn labrum. Who is signing with a team that does that?

Who is signing with a team that does that? I think it's a front office trying to not let Trumaine Johnson type of people who come here for a pay day and then don't play up to the contract, which has happened to the Jets plenty in recent years. They aren't fining CJ Moseley for the weeks he's missed for example, I think it coincides with Osemele being demoted and Osemele going to media and social media to air his grievances rather than do this internally. Players sign for money and will only play for the Jets if overpaid. This won't prevent players from signing with the team. So you bend over backwards for another player, this tells agents and FAs that this is a place that you get paid and can just ease up. I would shut him down since he doesn't want to play for this year and he was awful to begin with. Even if you want him to return, why have someone with one foot out the door protect for your franchise QB?

I don’t think any player is hearing the “he was just being a crybaby over playing time” defense and thinking “Yeah that’s a team that will take care of me.” Sure you’ll have to overpay for some, but getting on the list of teams that an average free agent will want to go to has some weight. Since winning isn’t an option there right now, you’d at least want to be player friendly.
When the money is similar from everywhere, you wouldn’t want something like this to enter the negotiation.

Kirk Cousins didn't want the job despite being offered more money. They are used to get the other team to step up their offer. Anthony Barr did it too. Jets have to draft players and hold their rights for 5 years to get quality honestly.
Bucs had a MRSA outbreak going on a few years back that cost super bowl kicker Happy Tynes career and they still can sign players to this day. It's a moot point.

A MRSA outbreak and fining a guy with a torn labrum for not playing aren’t remotely the same thing, but I also don’t remember the last time a guy hit free agency and was like “know what I wanna do, sign with Tampa”
