Wait. Do wrestling rings have 12 ropes? I just always thought the rope went all the way around the ring?!?!?!? Has my mind lied to me? IT ENDS AT THE TURNBUCKLE!

I changed the post to my pick because I just thought of an IN MY FACE THE WHOLE TIME way to end it. All done purely by coincidence and it worked to perfection.
Sometimes I’m so proud of my mind.

Yeah it’ll be fine. More just bad luck piling on top of bad luck and stupidity. I hope everything’s okay bud. Also, RT’s pick of Sasha Banks should be invalid since he technically drafted out of order and given to me. I knew it was a long shot to get her but I guess it’s fair that RT finally takes one of my favorites. The best part of my pick is that I was going to take Asuka but decided to pick someone I wouldn’t normally take because reasons.

KING KID Can I send you my pick and you make my selection for me? Those write ups are fantastic. Lol I got there first! Kid is now my personal draft picker. I'm paying him a tidy sum.

For the indie darling category, how are we defining "made it"? Had a run on television programming, had at least one televised match, had at least a dark match or tryout, was at least signed temporarily to a developmental deal? Etc. And to circle back to major company definition... So ROH is out as a "major". Saw ECW, AWA, and Lucha Underground were omitted as well? Questions never answered. Need confirmation on the latter for this round. Per RT's previous post on the matter, these were the companies specifically listed as "major": WWE WCW NWA TNA NJPW AJPW NOAH NXT

Seems like everyone I think of has had a dark match or a one off somewhere .

What jTjohncenaGOAT said is fine with me. NXT can be considered indie for that round. Same with ROH and ECW. I’ll even go as far as TNA. My reasoning is that any big name to come out of those companies would be considered “indie darlings,” because they are. And anyone that went to those companies and then didn’t go on to WWE or WCW or NJPW are exactly what we’re looking for in that round. And no, dark matches and the like don’t count. They need to have been established to not count.

Both the AWA and ECW were considered part of a "big 3" during each of the wrestling booms but whatever...

RT already stated his list of major companies after I asked him what a major company was back on page 2. I made my pick based on that, and now we're changing the list? Bullshit. If you think AWA is a major company, you should have said so before.

I hadn't even heard of it before this discussion started  But I am no wrestling historian either. The further back I go, the less I know.

I think it's fine. The guys have a reasonable argument but Mr Perfect has always been the universal answer to the "best wrestler to never win a world title" question. As Emperor said, RT made a list earlier, you can't change things after the fact.

I just want to make sure Joe is a valid pick. I think we came to decision to exclude TNA and NXT as a major company but I want to be sure.

Nah TNA was on the list. And if Adam Cole goes in the first round there's no way Joe can go here...

This is why I waited for a while before starting and wanted the topics for each round ironed out ahead of time. There was plenty of time to discuss what was considered a major company before we started. Or any of the other rounds for that matter.
Like was already said, Mr Perfect is the universal answer to “best to never win a world title,” and has been for decades. If the AWA was such a big deal why is he #1 on every list ever?
Also for future reference since it came up again: the NXT/TNA thing is for the indie round. That’s what we were discussing. That round will probably be a bit loose and open to interpretation.
If you need clarification on any other rounds coming up speak now. I don’t have all the answers, I’m just posting the thing. Plenty of others here to help out.

Where does this whole Henning is the universal answer to best to never win a world title come from? Google best wrestlers to never win a world title and his name does not come up. I can see the best to never win the WWF or WCW world title, but whatever.

I’m dreading this round because there’s only a few people that would fit my ideas and I’m 99% sure they’ll all be gone way before it gets to me.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I had a number choice in these drafts so I wasn't going random on that one.
