Usual draft but with a twist: each round has rules. For example:

Round 1: can only pick a former WWE World Champion
Round 2: can only pick a woman
Round 3: can only pick a cruiserweight
Etc.

I was going to suggest this too. Do it early on (pick 2 or 3) so most legit tag teams aren’t eaten up in the first round (like if someone picks Edge or someone because he meets the Round 1 criteria).

Also we should make a rule that in the first round of the tournament you can’t split up your tag team. Like if someone picks The Brothers of Destruction then immediately splits them up for their Round 1 card that’s kind of shitty. Just a thought. Not saying anyone would do that but still.

My problem with this is if you pick in the middle of the round you never get a chance at the top pick. Where if its random everyone gets at a shot at a least one of the top picks in each category.

I don’t like this because Round one.. I pick Rock N Sock Connection or dX and get two first round picks with one selection.

have a rule if they are drafted as a tag team they have to be used as a tag team.  If a big duo goes early just adjust and adapt.

Why don't we just randomize the poison stips ahead of time for each round and every one has to follow suit for that round - I think it would get a little less muddled that way.

I thought that was the plan all along. Otherwise the draft will take forever while we figure out what each round is, people need to restrategize, etc.

Each round will be posted in the OP of the draft thread so there won’t be any waiting around or anything.

Are we also randomising/rotating the turn order? As someone pointed out, if we fix the turn order, whoever goes first every time has a huge advantage.

That’s a good point. I was just going to do a snake draft but if everyone agrees we’ll randomize each round and post it ahead of time.

I’ll lay it all out in the OP to avoid confusion too.

Ex:

Round 1 - [THEME]
1. HR
2. UT
3. Kid
...

Round 2 - [THEME]
1. RT
2. Emperor
3. UT
...

You get the idea.

Sorry I planned on starting it today but woke up sick and spent the day in bed. Now I’m all out of whack and working a night shift, which means I’ll be in bed most of the day tomorrow too.

If someone else starts the thread to get the draft going I won’t be offended. Just randomize who signed up and post each round. Do we have all the topics confirmed/decided on?

I haven’t forgotten about you guys. I’m stupid busy. I’ll get this posted ASAP.

Alright I'm working on the thread right now. It's taking a bit more work than I thought.

I'm still not sure how to get around the tag team issue. I could hold off until the 11th/12th picks (that's where we start making two picks at a time anyway) and call that the "tag team round," but I'd have to make the top 10 categories in such a way that a lot of the big name tag teams are still available by then.

Or I sacrifice a round in the early stages and the tag team round counts as two picks.

Actually I just thought of something. But it'll result in a 22 person roster instead of 20. I'm gonna do that because this draft is already fucking crazy anyway. Who's with me!? OK GOOD LET'S DO IT.
