The Killing Fields is a motherfucking masterpiece. Not even a low placement for it? Do you guys even watch movies? Nonsense like GOONIES and Ferris Bueller shouldn't even qualify for this list.
Always is a Spielberger with cheese presented right in the midst of a big ol' 80's sandwich of love and awesome. No one has even seen it.
The Evil Dead revolutionized the horror scene by being...stupid and funny. Okay, fine, I understand this one not placing. But I love it. It should have placed anyway.
GOOD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORNING, VIETNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! ROBBIN FUCKING WILLIAMS HELLO? ONE OF THE BEST FILMS EVER LET ALONE JUST IN THE 80'S.
Oh hey, Back to the Future made it. Hurray! I couldn't remember if that was just a nerd movie not widely loved or not, but it placed number one. Excellent. Good job, PW. Except on the rest of the list, which sucked.
Blue Velvet is the last movie I expected to place out of all of these, but at least it made it on the list.
Excalibur is so fucking well made and amazing. I saw it as a kid and thought it was weird and didn't get it. Little did I know, many years later, when I saw it again and was like HOLY SHIT HOW DID I NOT APPRECIATE THIS. I didn't know what a good movie was. Well, it's EXCALIBUR. Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart are in there as well, so...yeah, it's fucking great. Watch it.
HE IS IMMORTAL. BORN IN THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND FOUR HUNDRED YEARS AGO. HE IS NOT ALONE. THERE ARE OTHERS LIKE HIM - SOME GOOD, SOME EVIL. FOR CENTURIES, HE HAS BATTLED THE FORCES OF DARKNESS, WITH HOLY GROUND HIS ONLY REFUGE. HE CANNOT DIE UNLESS YOU TAKE HIS HEAD, AND WITH IT, HIS POWER. IN THE END, THERE CAN BE...ONLY ONE! HE IS THE HIGHLANDER! If that alone is not already enough proof to convince you that this is the epitome of fucking badass and most epic movie of all time, there is something wrong with you. Sword fights, magic, wisecracking cops, wrestling match to kick off the movie, Sean Connery in the sequel, parking structure battles. Throw in the voice actor of Mr. Krabs as the main villain and this amazing shot that follows for the final battle and you've got a damn fucking good 80's movie.

Wall Street is really cool. Better than ET bullshit.
Deathtrap is understandably a very unknown film. One of Sidney Lumet's lesser known works starring CHRISTOPHER REEVES - THAT'S RIGHT, SUPERMAN. Lumet has done a lot of awesome serious stuff like 12 Angry Men, but this is a comedy with so many ridiculous twists and so insidiously clever that I was laughing my ass off for the vast majority of it.
Rain Man is also good.
Flash Gordon may be cheesy as Hell and ridiculous, but the amount of showmanship and over the top effort and memorable characters put into it makes it so you can't help but love it. A soundtrack by Queen, the best band in the universe, just like Highlander has...makes it doubly amazing. It's worth watching this movie just for Brian Blessed as HAWKMAN Prince Vultan alone.
The Verdict puts almost all the movies on this PW list to shame as a solid powerhouse court drama.
Top Gun where the fuck is it? What is wrong with you all? Top Gun is a great movie. One of the best movies. Absolute pleasure of a movie to watch. The best. Highly recommended movie. Tom Cruise. You know who does good movies? Tom Cruise does. Wonderful actor. One of the best actors. Top Gun.
The Karate Kid is a classic and deserved a place on this list. This is a wrestling forum. This movie is about fighting. Not just fighting. The SPIRIT of fighting. You should all be ashamed.
