Despite both being 100% wrong on all things going forward... I have to make a decision.

Cig has LTTP, Super Metroid and Yoshi's Island is an ideal SNES 3-punch, but a lot of stuff I don't connect with. But there's a good 80% I like a lot from Emp.

Both guys have a Zelda game, so neither deserves to advance. But cig VOLUNTARILY picked up Shadow of the Colossus AFTER it had been rightly defeated. Vote goes to Dr. Emperor all day long.

I can't believe something good came out of 🤯's irrational and completely wrong hatred of Shadow of the Colossus.

Still, @ness needs to report about this. This is a far greater crime than any comments made about Super Mario RPG.

It is a really good list I just thought this two were going to be the hardest competition after the pick phase was done. Then again I was wrong about a lot of stuff in the tournament so what do I know.

It's five games to eight, even if you used the Zelda and GTA games to cancel each other out, Cig straight up dominates with Super Mario Odyssey and a top-five SNES game in Super Metroid alone (fantastic game by the way that I'm currently replaying on the SNES app on the Switch)

Okay, here are the games I matched up.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Vs. Red Dead Redemption - About the same. The second one is better for the story and experience, but the first one has much better gameplay. I'd give a slight edge to the original.
GOD OF WAR (2018) Vs. God of War 2 - I haven't played the new one yet, but I'm sure it's at least as good as the second one. Probably slightly better, making up for the difference in Red Deads above.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Vs. Grand Theft Auto 3 - Loved both these games pretty much the same.
Persona 3 Vs. Persona 4 - Haven't played 4 yet. Don't think it's drastically different to 3.
Bioshock Infinite Vs. Fallout: New Vegas - Surprised to see these ones over the older versions, but both good.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Vs. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Are these even different games? I don't even remember which is which.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Vs. SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS - Both fucking amazing 5 star games.
Portal Vs. Mass Effect 2 - Both fucking amazing 5 star games.
Dead Space 2 Vs. Marvel's Spider-Man - Both fucking amazing 5 star games.
Sonic and Knuckles Vs. Super Metroid - Both fucking amazing 5 star games.
Shovel Knight Vs. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - Both fucking amazing 5 star games.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Vs. Rock Band  - I'd say Rock Band is unique and powerful enough to take on Skyrim evenly.

Odyssey is a fantastic game but 64 easily destroys it.

Arkham Asylum is a fantastic game but FF9 easily destroys it.

The Phantom Pain is a fantastic game but Dragon Quest VIII easily destroys it.

And it's a total shutout in the final three. Absolute domination from Emperor, who gets my vote. I was worried I might have to vote against him, but I guess not. CIG still may win the tournament, but as far as my taste goes...it wasn't even close in the end here.

Is Dead Space 2 the best entry in the series? It's one of those franchises I still need to catch up on. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's basically Resident Evil 4 IN SPACE!!! right?

I did want to vote against CIG for dropping Nier Automata when he had Tecmo Super Bowl right there taking up space. However, in a close fought thing, ultimately CIG had more variety and selfishly the three Super Nintendo games were picks I wanted for my list.

My personal favourite is Dead Space, but it's a close call and Dead Space 2 is the consensus favourite.

The gameplay and atmosphere is very similar to Resident Evil 4, but the limb-shooting mechanic is novel and awesome, there's a greater variety of weapons, and I think it's more tense and scarier than Resident Evil 4. At some point in RE4 you just become an action hero, running and gunning zombies left and right. Dead Space remains tense and terrifying, and the regular enemies are always a threat no matter how advanced in the game you are.

I think it’s pretty fair. Discounting P4 for not having played it would be a totally unfair evaluation of the lists given I love P3 and it is likely on the same caliber, if not better, and certainly a very similar style. Yet it obviously can’t count for higher given that I haven’t even played it.

I'm not saying discount it, but to equate a game you haven't played at all to a game you have played for tens of hours just seems ludicrous to me, even if they are similar.

Dead Space 3 was more of a shooter then suprvivor horror. And to get the most out of it you have to play coop. And be in communication with your partner.

Ahem. What I meant to reply was...

Does it not make sense to count it at the value that it most likely contains? It having the same value or more is, after all, the most likely case. With all the feedback I have heard on P4, it's a pretty safe bet as far as bets go.

This is to judge who has the best games on their list, as I understood it, not to vote based on personal experiences alone.
