I keep hearing this common theme from the unofficial anti-vaxxers:
" I don't want AZ, I'm waiting for Pfizer "
then...
" I don't want Pfizer, I'm waiting Moderna "
now...
" I'm going to wait for this new one.. I've heard bad things about Moderna "

From everything I have browsed I think Novavax which will be released next year is probably the pick of the bunch.

People being upset they didn’t get to show off their VC today is astounding. Relax if you’re vaxxed, don’t need to show absolutely everyone. I went to get a haircut today fully expecting the full spiel and barber just told me to take a seat and wait nor did they check anyone else that came in. I wasn’t going to waste time to shove my phone in their face if I wasn’t asked. Second place I went they glanced for two seconds I could have given them a ridiculous name like John Johnson and they wouldn’t have noticed.

I think most people don't care System or it's assumed they're doing the right thing. Similarly with the QR codes, you can wave your phone at the sign and it's probably assumed you signed in, and the written sign ins.. I wonder how many 'Steves' signed in with the phone number 12345678 My barber, there's never been a push to do anything, and I know take away stores that are essentially the land of the free.. the staff aren't wearing masks, there's a QR somewhere if you look for it and the place is crowded at the best of times.

If you're fully vaccinated, why do you care so much about what other people do? If you only want to go to places that check vaccination VM certificates, go for it... If you want to hide under the bed forever, you're welcome to do that too. I have no time for the eternally outraged

I mean what's the point of getting vaccinated if lowly paid retail workers also aren't giving you validation and asspats at the same time?

The least the cafe owners could do is paint a mural in memory of the real heroes.. the yummy mummies and wellness warriors, the instagrammers to stand in front of to show off their sacrifices and vax status.
How difficult is it? God, business owners and retailers, unbelievable!

Didnt he get shot down by the PM yesterday in glorious fashion for saying he was opening international borders to NSW and doing away with 14 day quarantine?
It's the honeymoon period.

ScoMo has about the worst political instincts I have ever witnessed. The tone and content of his statement was so inconsistent with his stated goals.

I assume Morrison is dreading elections. He may survive, but people are fucking pissed at how this was all handled which is not a good sign that he will remain PM. Parties may not be shaken up, but I suspect the people who represent the parties will be seeing changes.

" Victoria’s new pandemic powers has passed the lower house of parliament after a week of heated public debate over the proposed laws.
The legislation passed the Victorian Legislative Assembly on Thursday night, 51 votes to 26.
Introduced to parliament this week, the laws would give the premier power to declare a pandemic for three months at a time and allow Health Minister Martin Foley to sign off on public health orders without the approval of the chief health officer.
Premier Daniel Andrews and Labor MPs have been subject to intense criticism over the legislation, which critics claim would give their government unprecedented power to control Victorians.
Shadow attorney-general Tim Smith claimed the laws would take freedoms away.
“You told us that if we all got vaccinated, which we all have, on November 24 the only restrictions we would need would be for quarantine and to lock out the unvaccinated,” Mr Smith said.
“These orders will constrain freedoms and rights that have been ripped from us over the last 18 months, but individual citizens can be banged up without charge at the minister’s pleasure. "

Does not shock me at all. Felt like the goal posts would be kicked. They have no post pandemic plans and clearly seem to just be hoping COVID just disappears rather than build a state that can endure it.

www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/victorias-plan-to-keep-unvaccinated-locked-up-until-2023-blasted/news-story/6a09f832182fd611fea96eefba4f6db2" While Victoria is planning on dropping almost all of its Covid restrictions when the state hits its 90 per cent double dose vaccination target, Premier Daniel Andrews has warned unvaccinated residents will be barred from extra freedoms “for the entirety of 2022 Victorians were granted a raft of new freedoms on Friday, October 28, with a loophole meaning retail stores opened to all residents, regardless of their vaccination status. Covid-19 Commander Jeroen Weimar warned these freedoms would be short lived, likening the rules to a “grace period”. Once the state hits the 90 per cent vaccine target this month, unvaccinated residents will be locked out of non-essential retail until the end of 2022. " I guess in 2023, they start building the camps.
