I saw Stepbrothers once, thought it was fine, and then forgot it ever existed until these top tens started and people seemed to love it and I don't know why. I don't hate it or anything, it's better than Forrest Gump, but it was very forgettable.

I love Step Brothers and have watched it so many times. It's definitely top 5 funniest movies for me ever YET I still forgot to add it to my list. Shame on me, but I'm happy to have seen this make the list. Even if it's #14.
Honestly the whole first half hour is some of the funniest shit ever. Then it takes a semi-serious turn after the breakup of friendship and then has an awesome ending. Fucking love Step Brothers.

I have never seen Stepbrothers, and honestly never plan to watch it. I’ve seen ‘clips’ and honestly didn’t find them funny, and people constantly quoting it in the past just got tiresome. There is way better movies out there so I am surprised it made it on this list

Will Ferrell is like Marvel movies, if you put it on I'm not going to be a pretentious dickbag and roll my eyes, I'll get into it but the only movie of his I went out of my way to see was Elf.
If you put all the scenes I've seen of Step Brothers, I've probably seen the movie at least three times but just never in one sitting. It was a huge movie of it's time, one of those movies where everyone seems to have a copy of it or has seen it at least a dozen times.
I like the cast for the movie. John C Reilly is a favourite and Jenkins went from that guy who pops up in movies all-the time to the patriarch of the Fisher family. He's great in everything I've seen him in and this is no different. Has anyone aged better than Steenburgen?

Maybe I'm crazy, but usually when I see actors my reaction is 'yep, it's definitely been 20 years' but then Steenburgen pops up and I wonder if it's 1989 all over again. I'll give you Lopez, but I was expecting Steenburgen to rock up like Robert Smith of the Cure. That's us in 3 years time 🤯. You thought Donald Trump was building a wall, dude, we are THE wall.

Step Brothers was my #1 without even flinching. How much that affected it's placement is anyone's guess. On one hand I feel it's too fucking low, but on the other I realize I may not have even made so there's that. Absolutely adore this film and it pains me to see PW continuing to be just an absolute dullard who doesn't like comedies. Honestly if you look at my top 4 for this, it may as well have been the start of my 100 because it reads like a "certified Ness list", though I don't imagine any of those will make the cut sadly.
Honestly what made it really work for me was a combination of having a brother so relating to that, but also being a genuine loser at life so watching two 40 year olds still at home really clicked with me. It also works for parents to watch with their adult children so they can just see what kind of shit was going down while they were working. I always found threatening genital exposure was a good way of getting brother to fuck off. Also I STILL threaten my immediate family with specifics just like in this movie. "I WILL STAB YOU IN THE NECK WITH KNIFE".
My confidence in PW is seriously at an all-time low. I love this community, but this reaction makes me wonder why. I got more, but I may save some of that for tonight's broadcast as I got something (cringey) special planned for the ending. To the haters:

I guess it's just the grown men acting like children thing that annoys the hell out of me. I don't find it funny, I find it sad. Elf is different because it's about the magic of Christmas that brings out the kid in all of us.
