I am now Mickey free. My car has been cleaned, vacuumed and bleached. Mechanic said they would have to rip my dash apart to see if there’s any wiring damage so I’m just going to roll the dice.

Lots of people have rats as pets. I don't get it. All rodents can still be carriers of plague. That's called a 'no thanks'. 

My Gran had a rat that lived in her place in Ottawa she named Basil. I wouldn't have called it a pet, however she did feed it cat food.  Mind you that's when her cheese was beginning to slip off her cracker.

Mice is vermin.

We had a rat as a class pet in fifth grade. It was very cute. Would pee on you, tho.

To be fair, the mother-in-law thinks I dislike her, so if you asked her she would probably say that's true. I'm not sure why though, as the wife and I have taken her out for breakfast and dinner on multiple occasions, so you would think that would earn me bonus points with her.

That sounds like a HER problem. Like anixety/insecurity. Just keep being you. 

The fact that you stepped up for her daughter and the kids should earn you enough bonus points, my friend.

The exchange fee was $400 or the conversion difference after x amount of time was $400? Either way, JFC.

We drive. We use earned credit card points to "pay" for rooms. We don't eat out much and make as much food as possible in the room (I bring an induction burner). We're cheap!

I used my flight credit for this trip and I'm sharing the room with 3 other ladies so that'll keep the room charges down.

Big ass Crack in my windshield. So I got that going for me.

Come to Canada. We all have cracks in our windshield. True story. We use gravel to combat the ice and snow and the big trucks launch them at you like mushrooms in a Mario Kart game. No sense replacing them as they'll just be cracked again by the next month. So long as it doesn't affect your line of vision you are good to go. Come to think of it, even if it does impede your line of vision you are good to go.

So a few ago this woman found out someone she was close to died in a road accident, immediately upon finding out this news she decided to come into my work hysterical.

As she was putting a Keno game on she’s asking me all these questions about and getting frustrated that I didn’t know details. I worked all weekend and I don’t spend my spare time refreshing road incidents in my local area. I asked to put stuff away early so I didn’t have to deal her.
Sounds harsh but I’m not a licensed therapist or a friend, seek them first before going out.

Anyway turns out the guy was a member of the club, he continuously would speed around on his motorbike or car well over the limit and drive dangerously. He continued said actions with no motorbike protection and died with a baby on the way.

All of his friends talking about what a tragedy it was, did none of them try to talk some sense into him? I know he was a friend but this is the negativity thread, as others said it was only a matter of time before he killed someone if he wasn’t taken out first.
