The next 48 hours is going to be huge. If they can convince the players to continue the playoffs I'll be surprised. A lot of talk of them just leaving the bubble and going home so the league doesn't have a choice but to scrap everything.

Time for some real damn change. Wearing special jerseys and kneeling is one thing. Proud of the players for refusing to dance for their masters and take some real action.

It's not about dancing for their masters, it was meant to be a distraction for all of the pain the virus has caused. That's what sports has always been about, healthy and god given talented guys doing abilities and play that most can only dream of doing. But I can't say I blame the players for doing this. They've had enough and they don't feel the need to play again. 

The players control the NBA and the NBA/Adam Silver have no one to blame but themselves. They control free agency, they force trades and have the right and pull to not suit up whether it's to be rested, due to Kobe Bryant's death or this. Players are simply evoking the pull and power they have to do what they feel is right. 

Super teams and guys forcing trades because their team sucks has ruined the NBA for me where I am nowhere near as big of a fan as I used to be. This is them using the power they have been given and are doing what is right, can't hate them at all.

I am a die hard nba fan it suck because I enjoy watching the games even when my team don’t play but i see where the players are coming fromI think this restart season is over and time for the offseason begins at least NFL is around the corner

Why didn't Kenny Smith just not show up rather than make it all about himself and make it like it's a drama. If he just stood home and told his producers or coworkers he doesn't want to do it in support, I would have more respect. Him just leaving the people who have to work time for everyone to say a piece, the makeup artist, the catering etc. is lousy sorry.

How do you think they MAKE those multi-billions?   From people watching their product, both live games and TV revenues.   They are already losing money due to COVID.   If people stop watching on TV altogether that's a wrap.  Ratings are already down 40%. 

Protesting is one thing, most people (including me) will still watch no matter how much they kneel or speak their opinions.   What WILL get people to stop watching is when they refuse to play games. 

If the NHL can survive then any league can. They make pennies compared to the other big 3 major leagues in North America. The NBA isn't going anywhere.

NBA is not going to be shuttered forever cmon now let’s be real on that the league will be fine.

NBA will be fine but it's in a dire spot with how the agents and players run the league and with the owners and awful commish afraid to take the power back, it will continue to slide. When a player can throw a heckling fan out just because or when you have Ron Artest going into the stands to tackle a teen, you know you have serious issues and I see Adam Silver as someone living off of an obvious call in banning Sterling AKA an awful commish who does not prevoke parity in the league and allows the LeBron's etc. run the show.

TNT and ESPN are paying big bucks for these games and playoff games and they're not getting anything, I highly doubt they will stick their thumbs in their ass and be happy about it. NHL took a hit with no ESPN and going to NBC Sports here in America, sure NBA will find it's feet elsewhere but these networks pay big bucks to the NBA and expected these guys to play and waited with the pandemic and now this, NBA is in some trouble.

NFL is at risk with not seeing a bunch of UDFA getting in the time and with no training camps and preseason will mean rusty play & higher risk of injury, the NBA Draft is happening in what? October? When will the next NBA season start? Will it even be 82 games? This will be impacted in the next CBA IMHO and I think guaranteed contracts will be threatened, why pay a player their full salary on the year when they can pull this? How can these Networks trust these players and coaches with DNP-Rest in the primetime games and when players can pull this?

Real answer: an unarmed black man was shot in the back 7 times in Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Bucks, being a team from Wisconsin, decided to step up today and do some real shit. Other teams followed suit. Then the Brewers (also a team from Wisconsin) boycotted their game in solidarity. The Padres also did.

The Toronto Raptors players have been talking about boycotting since yesterday and there's a very good chance they don't show up for their game tomorrow night. Very good chance that by the weekend the NBA playoffs are scrapped.
