Years ago I did a top moments countdown (I think it was "mark-out moments" specifically but whatever), but that list has been lost to the ether, and I'm curious where we currently stand as a smaller-yet-more-streamlined group of current PWers.
Also I'm settled in my new job and spend a lot of hours in front of my laptop and I get bored easily.
Here's what I propose: send me your top 25 wrestling moments of all-time. That's it. Plain and simple.
I want moments that made you cheer, laugh, cry, scream, throw the remote, buy a t-shirt, whatever. And don't send me full matches; that can be another countdown for another day.
If you can't come up with 25, just send me what you can. It will all count. I'll cap the list at 15, 25, 50, whatever, depending on how many lists I get.
Tag your friends. Let's make this a big sample size.
Also feel free to discuss moments here in the thread so people can jog their memories.
EDIT: DEADLINE IS TWO WEEKS FROM THE TIME OF THIS POST. PLENTY OF TIME. SEND A LIST.

I won’t be making a list, but mine is so weird and not of the mainstream I thought I’d atleast share. My biggest markout moment ever was HHH outing himself as the guy that arranged the car hitting Austin. They slowly built him into a face culminating in this terrific DX reunion and the crowd is jacked and an hour later he comes to defend Austin from a beat down only to club him in the head with the sledgehammer. It was perfect. I loved Trips (until he really went face post-quad injury)

I’ve said this before, but I’ve been so lucky to see some of the greatest moments ever in-person:
- I was at Badd Blood 1997 when Shawn was thrown off the HIAC (and eye level on the side Shawn was hanging off of) and Kane’s debut - Survivor Series 1998 when The Rock won his first World Title - I was at No Mercy 2001 when Chris Jericho won his first World Title beating The Rock - (not a greatest of all time moment, but ...) I was at Raw 2005 when Cena was drafted over - I was at Raw 1000 when Punk turned heel on Cena and The Rock - Extreme Rules 2013 when The Shield captured the US and Tag Titles for the first time - I was at Survivor Series 2014 when Sting debuted in the WWE - Raw after SummerSlam 2015 when Dudleyz returned and Sting returned to challenge Rollins
This list will be a blast.

This might be difficult: I started watching regularly at the beginning of 2002, took a break after 2005 and didn't come back for awhile after Eddie's death. Jumped back in six years after CM Punk's pipebomb in 2011. Took another break in 2013, came back in 2016. Took yet another break in 2017 and just started watching again in 2019.
Me and pro wrestling are more on-and-off again than my 3x ex-girlfriend, but I'll still give it my best shot regardless!

I'll add a few and most likely a few more will come later - Chris Benoit wins the World Championship at Wrestlemania 20 and the celebration with Eddie - CM Punk defeats John Cena at MITB '11 - Daniel Bryan defeats Evolution at Wrestlemania XXX - Austin turns heel at Wrestlemania X-7 - I second, mikec, Triple H moment - An underrated moment, Daniel Bryan turns on the Wyatt Family in the cage, and the place is going nuts with Yes! Chants. Watch it.

Sounds good. I'll get a list in. Will probably just go with stuff I personally marked out for rather than genuinely accepted popular stuff. Example...
Hogan slams Andre at Wrestlemania III: Meh Andre beats Hogan for the WWF Championship with the help of an evil twin ref: Top 5

For those curious, the winning moment last time we did this was Mankind being tossed off the HIAC. Then Shinobi called us all sick bastards.
That moment has since become a pretty popular meme on reddit, and is still one of the greatest moments off all-time. I expect it to place high again.
I think Hogan joining nWo and the Beer Truck rounded out the top 3 but I can't remember for sure.

I am using a loophole to get around the match thing. For example:
Owen Hart pins Stone Cold at Canadian Stampede Ric Flair wins the 1992 Royal Rumble Terry Funk wins the ECW title at Barely Legal and so on...

Those are all moments in time. Also, just for the record, I'll lump things together if they're similar or whatever to maximize points. Example: "Hogan & The Rock square off," and "Hogan Hulks up against The Rock," will just get counted together.

No I was using that as an example of two similar moments in the same match/sequence. I was referring to their staredown and eventual tie up at WMX8. The Raw one would be considered separate.

Working on it.
I'm going off segments or BIG match moments (not the match itself) that invoked some sort of reaction out of me (shock, feels, joy).

I turn my list in a few hours ago. I was having a hard time trying to figure out what my top 5 should be. But i was finally able to narrow it done. #5 Sin Cara botches any and everything#4 Batista and his tight pants return to raw in 2014 #3 Matt Sydal aka Evan Bourne botches the shooting star during his AEW debut...#2 Titus O'Neil sliding under the ring...#1 The Shockmasters debut

D'oh. I forgot to include Horowitz Wins. Oh well. That's what I get for rushing a list in. Somebody else vote for it please. In the process of expanding my list to 50 just for the heck of it. I'll probably post the whole thing once this countdown ends.

Sent in my revised list. No more changes. Promise!
I'm really going to town with this though. Up to about 60ish of my own personal favorite markout moments.

Similar to you I'm keeping the moments I've cut and will probably share them after the fact. I expect a couple of them to make the overall list (one for sure in particular). Most of my cuts are pretty big moments that I ended up cutting because I wanted to stick to stuff I experienced live or spoiler free for ultimate effect.
