Biggest disappointment so far as has been pass protection and Watson. Just hasn't worked at all, which is a shame because David Johnson has been good. They got exposed in that two minute drill when Watson started to hold the ball longer and look for a deeper pass. Struggling to handle Chris Jones. Surprised we haven't see Cobb targeted more in the slot, maybe in the second half... Yeah the Chiefs have identified Fulton is the weakness and done a nice job. Texans have tried a similar thing moving Watt inside to go at Osemele a few times but no joy yet.

Cobb completely disappearing for a game? I don’t believe it.
It’s really what he does.

Dreadful tackling. Starting to resemble the playoff game.

I don't really get why we fired Crennell because of his shitty soft zone defense and tonight we're doing the exact same thing. Take a fucking chance.

Trying hard to suppress my frustration tbh. But it is the first game of the season, no pre-season, there is no sense in writing obituaries.

And you’re on the road against Mahomes and the Super Bowl Champions. And BoB is terrible.

He gave up play calling right? I mean his overall stamp on the team still shows though.
Texans try to blitz and pay for it.

Not sure why Reid punted there. Oh well. Come on Watson - make something happen.

So just seen the latest shit from Skip. I hate cancel culture but isn’t it time he just goes away forever. He’s such a despicable piece of shit.

Sooo you think they regret trading D-Hop?

This reminds me of the big showdown last season between Lamar and Watson when Lamar looked like peak Vick and Watson looked like Tom Savage. It's 3.30 in the morning here and I'm on the wane.

Sooo you think they regret trading D-Hop? Can he cover , tackle and pass protect? Because that’s the Texans problems right now. And David Johnson , whom he was traded for had been the best looking player on the team.

Sooo you think they regret trading D-Hop? Salary cap meant it had to happen. Texans weren't close with Hopkins on the team so investing more in him and leaving less to fix the rest of the team would've hindered them. The trade value was awful but the trade itself I can understand.

I mean they just keep doing this short yardage plan and it just keeps not working. Makes me wonder how much Crennell was to blame last year or if it's actually O'Brien's dumbass idea. I'm tapping out boys. Good to have football back, looking forward to a stress-free Sunday.

Hill gets a TD for my fantasy team and my bet looks like it's coming in - shame that we're not getting a close game but other than that I'm so happy football is back!

I goofed around on my fantasy draft for work today and with my first three picks picked up CEH, Hill and Kelce. Somehow they shared the riches perfectly today.

Figure just load up on the same bye week and sacrifice a week. Really only possible in an 8 team league.

Since they don't seem to want to fix the O-line... Watson should talk to Wilson about how to survive and do well with no O-line. Wilson has mastered it over the years

Thank god they kept calling CEH runs up the middle - the under survives! Just brutal. He had to have had five or six of those short yardage runs right at Watt. In general I thought it was a ringing endorsement for him as a fit for the team/justifying spending the first round pick though. There was that run he made towards the end where he lowered his pads, bowled over a defender and nearly got in to the end zone which was fantastic. Interesting that he had 25 carries which is apparently the most any RB has had with Mahomes, yet didn't have a single target in the passing game (Williams had 6). Wonder if that is just an anomaly or something more indicative...

Wilson has mastered it over the years Definitely some real issues there. Thought it was a particularly worrying game from Tytus Howard who was solid by all accounts last season but looked very flat footed and slow tonight. I thought this was an interesting pickup on something that just looked like a slightly mistimed pass in real time:

Since they don't seem to want to fix the O-line... Watson should talk to Wilson about how to survive and do well with no O-line. Wilson has mastered it over the years All you have to do is run 20 yards backwards, juke 3 guys, break several tackles by spinning in circles, then throw the ball 50 yards. It isn't hard.
