Feel like the Taysom Hill stuff should be left to when you need a spark, like last week when they were doing nothing against the Raiders, instead of a tight close game against a great QB in form.

Not good enough. Not with our tackling. Lucky to get a FG to be honest, that should have been grounding against Rodgers on second down.

This must be the Packers biggest TE day in years right? Combined for 100 yards and a TD now.

Probably since Jermichael Finley.
Or Jared Cook had that huge game against the Cowboys in the playoffs.

Jones was in then - that worked out beautifully for the Packers because the no call ran even more time off the clock.

Who knows what happens if Hill didn't fumble - but I'm out on the Saints. Brees was better than last week but this feels like his ceiling now, it's all dump offs and short passes.
I kinda wanted them to recover the onside kick just to see what they'd do with the Hail Mary. Surely would have had to get Jameis to throw it?

Soft defense again Drew Brees of all people.
That was a fun game @theshow , knew Kamara would get his but Rodgers is playing at another level right now.

That was the best defense I’ve ever seen allow 37 points. They play tough up front but their secondary and linebackers are undisciplined as hell. I know Rodgers has a great play fake but at some point you have to account for the flat with the tight end. You line was playing well enough against the run to commit to stopping that play.

Also that 4th down call aside , The Flower is a helluva football coach. He deserves a ton of credit for keeping defenses guessing every snap.

Yeah I've been very disappointed by their defence across these last two weeks. I thought their secondary looked like a real strength but they've been anything but. So many penalties, and they clearly can't cover TEs after tonight and Waller's big game last week.

Sleep schedule is all fucked so I sadly missed both games today. Just finished watching Bengals & Packers highlights.
Packers: Love how Allen Lazard has stepped up for us recently, dude's underrated as fuck and proving himself to be vastly superior to MVS and deserving of that No.2 spot. Aaron was in prime form as always. Excellent TD catch by Marcedes Lewis; looked simple but it definitely wasn't. Rush defense continues to be questionable. Granted it's Kamara, but the lack of proper TACKLING in general is probably the only thing I'm worried about from this team going forward. It's still too early to tell but it feels like this may be our year to take the NFC if our defense doesn't cave in big games like in years past. Funny though how we were all worried about drafting help for Davante in the 1st round but maybe we should have been focusing on the other side of the ball in general with that pick....
Bengals: I'm starting to notice what everyone else was saying - AJ truly has lost a step. We need to focus more on getting the ball to Boyd. Taylor still isn't making enough of an effort on o-line adjustments. There's only so much you can do with a shit sandwich but let's at least experiment. Another game where we had opportunities to win but blew it but at least we showed Kentucky some love and kissed our sister rather than losing. Pretty sure I remember a 13-13 tie against in the Eagles in years past, so that's weird. But I will say this: all things considered, I still have hope for this team beyond this season. Joe is an absolute pleasure to watch on every snap. In 3 games I can already tell he's miles better than Carson or Andy. The upside of finishing with a poor record this year will hopefully be addressing the O-line and LB positions in the draft (If they draft a wideout in the first round, I swear to gawd, bro...) The potential for the Bengals is sky high, something I haven't been able to say since the mid-2000's.
Edit, also, CHANGE MY MIND: Carson Wentz is overrated.

I think Wentz was overrated. Now the consensus is that he's just not a top quarterback. He's clearly a confidence player and the lack of offensive line and weapons around him has affected his confidence but it's deeper than that. He makes really bad throws. Correlation does not necessarily equal causation as we know, but man, it's hard not to attribute Wentz fall from grace to the departure of Frank Reich.
---
Another really fun Sunday night game. Packers look favourites to be top seed in the NFC. Saints I think will still be a play-off team, they'll figure it out.

Yeah Wentz has been getting too much shit to be considered overrated , I still like him ... though it seems like his teammates don't. He has had NOTHING to work with the past few years with injuries decimating the team. Also I think Pederson is being exposed as a very meddling NFL coach who really needs a good staff around him. Wentz isn't as good as once thought but I don't think he's beyond redemption either.
And that punt yesterday was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Great game UT. The better, more well rounded team won last night. Just a great back and forth game until the end. Saints struggled with the deep ball again and had no answer for Rodgers and the pass game. His play action passes are almost impossible to defend. I have both he and Aaron Jones on my fantasy squad this year and they haven’t disappointed me yet. Saints on the other hand still lack discipline on defense. The penalties have sunk us the last two games; especially PI calls. I’m throwing this on the coaching staff because defending the deep ball has been a glaring problem for years. Whether it’s Ken Crawley, Eli Apple, or now Janoris Jenkins with the PI problems. Lattemore has had his fair share over the years as well. This is something Dennis Allen needs to fix. I can’t really complain about the offense because we still put up 30 points despite Brees declining and losing our top WR. I am officially off the Taysom Hill experiment. His fumble pretty much ended the game. We were moving the ball so well with Murray and Kamara so throwing Hill in that critical of a situation was Payton getting too cute as he often does. By the way, Kamara deserves his own appreciation post. I am sorry I ever doubted him. He is so fun to watch.

I also think we need to settle down with Joe Burrow. I can understand Bengals fans being excited but if Carson Wentz has taught us anything, it's that we need a significant sample size to judge a quarterback.

It can go both ways for that too , too many people are also far too willing to write a quarterback off after only a couple starts. The thing with Burrow though is that you see something , not even something Wentz showed in his rookie year. Burrow has that "it" factor and actual gave the Bengals a viable passing offense despite not having an offensive line and AJ Green being a complete and utter shell of himself. He was the same way in college and when you see that translate to the pro's I think it's fair to get hyped about him - imagine what he'd be doing with a decent team around him or even an average offensive line or a better coach.
The impressive thing really is that it's ALL on him right now. The offensive line is the worst in the league and their running game is non existent. Their entire offense runs through his ability to sustain drives and make plays and he's been good - a lot better than you should ever expect out of a guy who's started only three games in the NFL.
Now as with others the test will come when teams get more tape on him and quarterbacks have fallen on their face in the past because of that (IE Baker) but I have faith in Burrow because he seems smarter than a lot of quarterbacks who've been in the league for years.
Shit put him on a team like the Colts with Reich and that line/running game and I think he would be even more incredible. Even a team like Washington.

That's fair.
Absolutely wild stat for the Texans from yesterday. No rookie played a single snap! What the actual fuck, has that ever happened before? 😂

Ugly first drive by the Ravens defence. Marcus Peters gives Tyreek Hill a huge cushion and then misses the tackle leading to a big gain, and then they fail to seal the edge and allow an easy TD run for Mahomes.

Chiefs defence on the other hand off to a nice start, limiting the Ravens to a FG on the first drive following a big Lamar run, and then a great effort play by Chris Jones to chase down Jackson to the sideline forcing a punt.
