Count me in that camp as well, I've tried several times with both parts I and II and I just can't get into them.
Was in my feed for some reason. Felt very much like PW. Love that scene. 😂

I'd say of those two JAWS is the one that most deserves a place on an overall Top 100 list. It's well placed I'd say. A case on the impact of pop culture could also be made for Predator but I'd see it probably in the 80-90's. Of course, to no one's surprise, neither made my list.

Didn't even think about Jaws until after I submitted my list. Wouldn't have made it anyway. Watched it once or twice ages ago. Enjoyed it. But it was never a go to movie for me. Might have cracked a Top 150. 65. Predator- Enjoyed the first R rated movie I ever saw for the same reasons as Ness and Shootist but I'm still shocked it finished this high. Above Terminator 2! Probably the biggest surprise of the countdown thus far.

The Predator is one of the defining action films of my youth. I wouldn't rank above it The Terminator, T2, or Aliens, but I would rank it right behind them. Much like The Terminator, Predator has a very slasher like atmosphere. coupled with the dichotomy of one of the most badass crews ever put on screen being knocked off like teenagers in a Friday the 13th movie. Couple that with an amazing score and some of the best action pieces of all-time, and you have a sure fire hit on your hands.
Jaws is far too important of a film for me not to rank it. While I do enjoy the movie, I don't love it as much as other Spielberg films, so I didn't rank it as highly. But I do not blame anyone that did.

Love that scene 🤯 , love so many scenes in this movie. It's one I didn't see for the longest time after it came out , I don't even remember why but man was I missing out. Wolf of Wall Street is so much fucking fun to watch and watch the chaos of the ascent and fall of Belfort and Leo with his charisma is probably the only person I could see playing him and pulling it off so well. You want to hate him , you should hate him but Leo brings too much to the role that you really can't and you just want the ride to continue. Throw in great performances by Hill , an iconic cameo my McConaughey and Robbie being about as stunning as a human being can be and this movie really hits for me in all aspects. Had I watched it more it would have been higher on my list , which was in the 30's , but I could certainly see it being a movie that rises and rises in the ranks amongst subsequent rewatches.

This was a long movie that it turned out I didn't mind it being long. But it's run time did keep me away from it for a dumb amount of time. Wife eventually watched it on some long flight for a work trip, enjoyed it so much that she vouched for it by volunteering to watch it again the same week. So we watch it, and shit just keeps getting better and better as it goes on. Pinnacle for me, probably to no surprise, was the lude overdose scene. To me, this will always be Catch Me If You Can meets American Psycho.

WoWS is not quite top Scorsese, but it's an amazing film nonetheless. It's essentially the white collar Goodfellas and has a lot of the same kind of energy. As already stated, Leo and Hill put on incredible performances, as does Matthew McConaghy. Margot Robbie is absolutely stunning, she definitely makes an impression on you.
For Mt. Rushmore, it definitely makes Leo's (Titanic, Inception, Wolf of Wall Street, and The Departed) and Jonah Hill's (Knocked Up. Superbad, 21 Jumpsteet, and Wolf of Wall Street) It would make Margot Robbie's if she had more of a body of work behind her.
Alas it dosen't quite make Scorsese's (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and The Departed)

Moneyball should absolutely be on Hills. OK, take off Knocked Up and you have Moneyball, Superbad, Wolf of Wall Street, and 21 Jumpstreet. I would say that's pretty good for Hill.

It’s not bad at all , dude is overlooked amongst actors. He kills it and gets nominated for both Moneyball and WOWS but if you want to lead a comedy he can also do that and crush it. I don’t know of many who could go Moneyball , 21 Jumpstreet , Wolf of Wall Street and be as successful as he was. Those are three bangers back to back to back and completely different in their ways.

Looks like the Top 25 is going to be a disappointment regarding my personal tastes. But it's prediction time. That'll be fun. Didn’t care for Predator or Jaws. Don’t see the attraction in either. I'm genuinely curious if you care for any movies outside of big blockbuster franchises. I've seen this comment a few times now on standalone film that are beloved by most.

I'll take a shot at guessing the Top 20. Conservatively guessing 8 of my movies will make the cut. Could be 10 or even 12. PW is an unpredictable beast and I'll confess to not following along with every single movie countdown.

Emperor ALSO got: 15/20 correct on his guesses with ALSO one in the correct spots for .... 17 points! Emp was really close on two of his other guesses only being a spot off. Should also note that both had different movies in the right spot. Which is cool. Leaderboard: Emperor: 17 Shootist: 17
