He's in the conversation as any QB with a 9-0 record should be, but I'd be very surprised if he wins it unless he can lift his performance. Steelers are 15th in offensive DVOA. Big Ben is 9th in passer rating and 20th in QBR. I don't see how he can compete with Rodgers, Mahomes and Wilson, even Allen really. Has he even been better than some quarterbacks on struggling teams? Herbert, Watson, Burrow. Ben needs to show more to win MVP IMO.

Do think it's funny people keep bringing up the ref thing like I'm the only one out here calling bad calls, as soon as they show it's going both ways, I quiet down. Both or neither, which is why there was only one game I mentioned more than a call or two..
But homer or not, that statement about Ben is comes from an objective place, which is why I haven't argued for it in recent years, don't give them anything that can't be backed up. Not like I said to give it to him already either, just only marginally on the outside of it, entering the conversation. As the only player with 3 500 yard games and also back to back 6 TD games, he's one great game from leap up.

MVP is Patrick Mahomes.
Russ lost the lead these last two weeks.

I have Mahomes leading, a hair in front of Rodgers. Wilson third after his drop-off recently. Allen leads the chasing pack at 4.

I’d put Allen ahead of Wilson at this point. Wilson has play out of character and pretty bad at times - his MVP chances have dropped.
Even yesterday he made a BRUTAL throw in the Rams that took points off the board.

Interesting no one has mentioned Brady. He can put a run together if the Bucs find consistency.

Honestly I can’t get over that Bills/Cards game. Literally no other way to end that classic then having Diggs score that TD and then having Hopkins catch the Hail Mary. Those two players got traded on the same day and proved that whole narrative wrong about stars not shining on new teams that quite frankly was started by OBJ and AB last season. Really an incredible finish. Arizona should always be on Primetime too. They are so EXCITING. Miami is going to win the AFC East. Sorry RT.

Ben would struggle to crack the top 10 quarterbacks this season. Stop being silly. I’d put Allen ahead of Wilson at this point. Wilson has play out of character and pretty bad at times - his MVP chances have dropped. Even yesterday he made a BRUTAL throw in the Rams that took points off the board. I didn't get time to post about it because the Bills/Cards game was going crazy, but he was uncharacteristically poor. Normally even on his poorer statistical days it's usually because he was let down by other parts of the team (the defence giving up too many points, the offensive line allowing too much pressure) but yesterday it was all on him. Gregg on ATN described it well when he said you almost had to wonder whether he was all there mentally because of all the strange decisions and poor throws he was making - it was not at all what we've come to expect from Wilson.

Things I need tonight.
Nick Foles to score a TD and Bears to win. $500 prize.
I have a 12.3 lead against my opponent in fantasy football tonight and he has Jimmy Graham AND Minnesota D left. I need Minnesota D to suck ass and Jimmy Graham to play like Jimmy Graham-pa and not like a stud like he’s played all season.
I should’ve put a bet on all of my opponents players to score TDS yesterday. Juju, Henderson, Davante and let’s not even talk about his Nyheim Hines start from Thursday. I’m going to need a miracle tonight. Alvin Kamara and Tee Higgins held it down for me this week but Jared Goff completely dropped the fantasy football ball for me when I needed him for one week because of Mahomes being on a BYE.

Yeah I was flipping around and seen just a few terrible decisions. It’s not the first week ... either. I meant lost in the Cardinals game with DK’s incredible rundown was that Russ threw another red zone pick and it should have been a pick 6.

Vikings have a terrible record in Chicago - 3-13 since 2001 with all three wins by a FG, so you might be on to something there UTI predicted the Giants ending the streak against the Eagles though and I'm betting on another big Dalvin Cook game here.

Yeah and I wouldn’t be shocked for a Vikings let down game. They are better than their start but not nearly as good as the past few weeks either. I think it’ll be close regardless.
I think it’ll probably come down to a one score game , and taking the home underdog is generally the right bet.

Gregg on ATN described it well when he said you almost had to wonder whether he was all there mentally because of all the strange decisions and poor throws he was making - it was not at all what we've come to expect from Wilson. Stop being silly, he says ironically. Only about 7 TD's out of first place with only one game marring his turnover picture (4 INT's, hasn't lost a fumble). And that's with the run game being shit for the last few games. Like I said, he gets the consistency he had this week, which may have a lot to do with the OC, as they always open up when they let him field general, if they can all get on the same page, hard to stop (especially if the run game gets going). Could easily lead the league in TD's by the final week if that happens, and if they somehow manage to go unbeaten, shouldn't even need that.. Without him, offense was bottom 6 in scoring, with him, they're currently top 7 (5th in PPG), with plenty to go climb higher. He's easily surpasses 10 no question, objectively goofy in the head to suggest otherwise, and is hitting/has arguably hit the top 5. And again, didn't say to give it to him yet, just he's entering the conversation, marginally outside of those top few.

Big Ben is the comeback player of the year and I have seen so much good out of him in my keeper league team that I think I will be in 2nd place despite all of the injuries to know he's been a top 3 player for me after Kamara and Josh Allen. Big Ben deserves all the accolades, he has a rookie WR as his 2nd go to with no OTA or preseason, a lackluster running game, and yes the defense is great and the OLine is solid but he has maybe 2 real gamebreakers on offense beside him and add the age and he has been a dandy this year.

I picked Ben for CBPOTY and he has that in the bag.
He’s also got the #2 defense in the league and is not in the MVP convo at this point.
He’s better than Lamar Jackson though.

He just talks too much shit and is two faced that's all. He is right about Gase but he tucked his tail and left when the going got tough. A quitter is what we call him. And he was taken over both Maholmes and Watson, I would hope he was somewhat decent.

I’d love to see Jamal on a decent defense where he didn’t have to be the best player for the team on every single level. Also saying he was taken over two quarterbacks isn’t fair to him. He can only play his game at his position. It’s not his fault the Jets thought McCown and Hackenburg were way to go at QB. The Jets are one of the worst organizations in the league and have been for awhile , I would have been a diva and gotten the fuck out of there too.

Quinton Dunbar was a killer in DC, Edelman who is broken down was spanking Adams routinely this year on deep inside runs and slants. I agree with you, that was all on McCagnnan. He went over McCaffrey too. Hackenburg is easily one of the worst picks of all time, i think 99.9% of the population knew that. Jets have been to two AFC Title games about a decade ago, lets calm down. Team just needs to hit home with a good head coach, the last two have been massive duds.

Yes that was a decade ago though , since than they have been a laughing stock. As a current player you can’t look at a decade ago you can look at recent history and faith in the future and like I said ... you can’t blame Adams for wanting out.
Especially from a guy whom if I remember correctly got rave character reviews coming out of college.

Ya either with us or against us! We are down right now as a nation but we will be back up!
