That would be fucked up if Ronda shows up and wins.
I would go with Charlotte. She's the GOAT and deserves that on her resume.

Already knew the answer before I clicked on the thread. Also first thing that came to mind with this "influx of NXT call ups" in the other thread, fresh meat, all those poor girls gonna be doing 16 second squash jobs. She's coming. I been warning yall for years.

I'd rather see Michelle McCool since her and Charlotte were chatting it up on Twitter.

Would make more sense for Baszler to win and Rousey to be her manager for the long term health of the division given Baszler could be a heel for years but that won't happen. Can't see Rouser being booked to lose, with Bazler you can.
It gets the 4 horsewomen thing going on the sidelines.

Already a flaw in the logic of this...Rousey coming in and going to Smackdown? lol. Vince isn't going to waste her on the B show. If anything he'd build her up on Raw and have her tap Auska out in 10 seconds at wrestlemania. Auska's appeal is already dropping off and I could easily see Vince just sticking a fork in her at mania and have Rousey squash her like a bug.
As for a women's rumble match...pass. Are we really going to have two royal rumble matches on one show? That sounds draining. The men's rumble can be a bit of a chore in itself.

Personally I think they should give something special to Becky and let her win it. Have both her and Charlotte go into as Wrestlemania as faces. Then turn Becky at the end. Or have her stay face and have Carmella cash in on her.
Elimination chamber is a Raw ppv let Rousey debut in that match then play up how she knows how to win in a cage.

I'm okay with the idea of a women's rumble, very not okay with the idea of Rousey in the WWE. WWE should not be UFC, and WWE should definitely not have part timers come in and beat the wrestlers.

Rousey's last couple of fights drew Wrestlemania X-7 PPV buys and she's practically got pro rasslin in her blood and has been a huge fan of it for a while. I have a hard time believing that a phenom grappler and athlete of her acumen with some form of passion and interest in the business would have much trouble becoming one of the best pro wrestlers in the business, be it male or female, especially if she's training with the right people(Sarah Del Rey?). I think she's going to jam. I think it's quite possible that she can jam without WWE "trying to be UFC". She's probably going to be better than your favorite female wrestler really fast.
With that said my hype for a Rousey WWE run is reigned in by what we've seen them do with Brock, she will probably come along and wrestle 2-3 matches a year with maybe a handful of appearances and I have little faith in them booking her or anything around her with any competence(she could be great for putting one of the ladies over, giving HUGE rubs if booked a certain way to where the whole womens division gets a major boost). I'd damn sure be watching to see how it goes though.

Yeah. I mean, whatever happened to paying your dues? I guess paving the way for women to compete at the highest level of combat sports isn't paying dues in your eyes. WWE is a business about making money. If rousey can do that for them right out of the gate it only makes sense to use her in that capacity. Why have her feud with Dana Brooke and A. Fox for months before getting the big title match? Right out of the gate you kill her momentum. It's already happening with Auska who was red hot in NXT and now just feels like just another person on the roster.

I'm not talking about paying dues in a cage, I'm talking about inside of a squared circle. Building someone up the traditional way, by working your way up the ladder.

I'm not talking about paying dues in a cage, I'm talking about inside of a squared circle. Building someone up the traditional way, by working your way up the ladder. Well that's obviously not going to happen with someone of the star power that Rousey has. Did Conor McGregor have his first boxing match against Joe Blow on ESPN's Friday Night Fights? Of course not. With that said, the success of this really comes down to whether they are able to use her to put someone over/give the division in general a rub like Shin was talking about. That's possible of course, but WWE's track record isn't exactly strong in this area and people have more than enough reason to be sceptical about that happening - and consequentially, suspicious/negative about Ronda being used at all.

I'm not talking about paying dues in a cage, I'm talking about inside of a squared circle. Building someone up the traditional way, by working your way up the ladder. Times change. The traditional way of doing things shouldn't be the rule for every talent that walks in the WWE. When you have somebody with the star power of Rousey it would be foolish to have her squash the likes of Dana Brooke every week for three months straight before getting to the upper deck talent. She's a proven draw already and therefore I have no real issues if she jumps the line. With that said, she needs to be able to actually wrestle a match and not just hit an arm bar and leave in every match she ever has.

Legit question... is Rousey still a big deal? I know simply being in the E can change everything, but it seemed like her heat fell off a cliff when she lost.

You are right and she is probably the real reason why the women superstars even got to this level. If WWE wasn't try to capitalize off her success making strides for women in a combat sport then WWE probably would still have 4 minute diva matches trying to capture the butterfly belt.

It's certainly true that she lost a ton of momentum with her recent defeats but Lesnar also got beat to holy hell and came back to the wwe and look at him now...of course Lesnar had the crutch of being a former wwe talent that most fans still remembered as being a monster and not all WWE fans are UFC fans who saw him get his ass whooped. Rousey doesn't have that in her corner but I think WWE could still get some mileage out of her.

i just dont think a celeb should come in and dominate our champion and the division. who would want to keep watching WWE after that?
its like Vince doesnt want the women to be successful long term... and i just dont see why. what is so bad about having long term success with the women?

Considering the booking of the Mae Young Classic, I would have more faith in Vince and the main roster creative than anyone else.

Men have had to deal with getting shoved aside for celebs and part-timers forever. It's time for the women to lean in.

Considering how they booked the first women's MITB it's not much of an honor sadly. I'll take Ronda over Stephanie...

Stephanie is a former women's champion...and to me the best heel champ the women have ever seen... I'll take any wrestler over a celeb doing a one off spot for a quick paycheck. Let Ronda win RR #2...but not the history-making first one... (it should've been Beth Phoenix, honestly)

Ok if it's a one off spot and Rousey never comes back again, then yeah having her win the rumble would be ridiculous but I was under the impression she would pull a lesnar and just be kind of in and out and get a title match at mania which honestly i'm fine with if the fans are rabid for Rousey which may or may not happen. It's not like it being the first of it's kind means it must be amazing. WWE already fucked up the womens money in the bank. First ever womens Hell in a Cell was hardly a thrill ride. Hell wrestlemania 1 sucked. If you want to give the division a shot in the arm no problem giving it to Rousey instead of Lynch or Auska which would be met with a yawn at this point. None of the women are that over sadly with the exception of Bliss...and kind of Flair by default. Everybody else the crowd hates or is luke warm for.
