Fantastic matchups this Sunday. In the NFC we have the two best quarterbacks of the past decade in Rodgers and Brady, facing off for the fourth time in their careers. In the AFC, we have Mahomes and Allen who may well inherit the mantle for the next decade.
Both #1 seeds are favourites for good reason. Aaron Rodgers has had a superb season and will collect his third MVP trophy, his only real down game was against the Bucs in week seven, when a pick-6 by Jamel Dean really knocked the Packers off course despite an early 10-0 lead, succumbing to a 38-10 defeat. This time they play at Lambeau Field, and come into this game in rich scoring form, averaging 35 points per game in their last three, including an impressive performance against the Rams #1 rated defence. Most notably from that game was the complete team effort, all receivers making plays, all three running backs involved for the first time, the imperious performance from the offensive line.
The Bucs will have to be at their best to upset the Packers, but you can never discount Tom Brady in the playoffs. At 42 he seems completely unaffected by age while his compatriots wilt around him, and continues to pile up the accomplishments to his second HOF career. Tampa's offence wasn't at their best against the Saints, they didn't get much from their top three receivers, but Brady's game management and multiple forced turnovers from their aggressive defence saw them win against a more fancied opponent.
The Kansas City Chiefs will play in their third straight championship game, while the Buffalo Bills return for the first time since 1993. When these two met back on a rainy October night, it was Clyde Edwards-Helaire who was the star, rushing for 161 yards, while Josh Allen was held to his lowest passing total of the season of just 122 yards. It's hard to see those stats replicating themselves given how the two teams have developed since then. The Bills always felt like the one team who had the firepower to knock off the Chiefs, and their defence has rounded in to form at just the right time to try and contain Kansas City. Limiting Mahomes and the Chiefs to field goals rather than touchdowns is a key, and the Bills are playing great red zone defence in recent weeks.
The reigning Super Bowl MVP will enter this game under an injury cloud, currently in the concussion protocol and also suffering a turf toe. It's almost impossible to see him not suiting up on Sunday, but it will be interesting to see if he is hampered in anyway. KC have felt so inevitable in recent times, winning in all situations - coming back from deep deficits, individual brilliance, because of clutch coaching - they're now on a 24-2 run (with one of those losses a dead rubber game) but we know that repeating in the NFL is so difficult.

Both games could easily go either way. Interesting that the last time the Bills were here they faced off against the Chiefs then as well.
Packers defense will make or break this game for us. If we play like we did against LA, then we should have a solid opportunity to notch the win. Even then though, there is a vast difference between Brady and Goff and our offense is going to have to return the favor because I don't see us dropping 30 again - the Bucs are way hungrier and more confident than the Rams were.
For the AFC, there are too many questions. If Mahomes isn't 100% (or relatively close at least) this will be a win for Buffalo. If the Pat Attack is his normal self, then this game is just too hard to call. If anyone can stop Mahomes and the Chiefs offense, it's Buffalo. But vice versa: if there's anyone who can dismantle this D, it's the Chiefs offense.
Holding off on my predictions until we find out more on P.M.'s status heading into the weekend.

One thing is certain: I will be drunk on Sunday night.
My thoughts are this...
I'm just happy. Buffalo proved they're legit when they outlasted Indy and took advantage of Baltimore's mistakes to put them down. Buffalo deserves to be where they are and silenced the haters. They're in the final 4 and that makes me smile.
They aren't expected to beat the Chiefs, especially if Mahomes plays, but I'll be rooting for them all the same and maybe some luck will come our way. I obviously hope they win, but if they don't, I just hope that the game is called fairly and they leave it all on the field. Can't ask for much more than that.
The Chiefs SHOULD be here. The pressure is on them. The Bills have no pressure and if they stick to what got them here, they have a shot at going to the Super Bowl. So here's hoping.

I really can’t stomach another NFC Championship loss , we have to win. It’s heartbreaking losing in the game before the game year after year.

If Patrick Mahomes plays; then the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
If Patrick Mahomes does not play this weekend; then Aaron Rodgers will win his 2nd Super Bowl.
Get it? Got it? Good.
Green Bay is too damn good right now and I don’t see Tampa Bay beating them again. Who am I to pick against the GOAT? I’m 0-2 so far this postseason. Still; Aaron Rodgers is on some G shit lately.
Buffalo beats KC with Henne and then loses to Green Bay.

A more indepth look about what the Bucs did well against Rodgers earlier in the season:
Rodgers not taking a sack against the blitz since that game is crazy. A large factor is the adjustment for the Packers RBs staying into block more often. Their receiving yards following that game halved compared to what they were averaging previously. The second sack in that montage is almost certainly avoided if Jones wasn't expecting to run a route before realising David was coming on the blitz.

I can't let this little discussion go without mentioning Corey Webster. (6) Had that not happened, it could have changed everything. Favre may have stayed in the Bay and the franchise might have traded Aaron. I'm glad things played out the way they did and I will always love the G-men for upsetting Brady and New England's perfect season.

You don't win the Super Bowl with one players individual performance.
That's why Aaron Rodgers wont win it.
That's why Tom Brady wont win it.
That's why that other QB from Wyoming wont win it either.
This is a team game.
A game of war.
THIS IS OUR BACK UP.
HEAD FIRST FOR THE TEAM.
And that's just the beginning of this story.
MJ had the Flu Game.
Mike Piazza had the 9/11 game.
Patrick Mahomes, well, Patrick Mahomes is going to have the CONCUSSION GAME.
And with Mahomes back; the Kansas City Chiefs will EAT & DEFEAT those Buffalo Bills.

I am rooting so hard for Bucs/Bills.
I just want to see The Bills finally ascend to the top of the AFC East after the domination the Pats have had for two decades ... only to have to face Brady in the Super Bowl.

I’m curious who Jaire lines up against on Sunday , Evans or Godwin. He allowed -3 yards (2nd team AP my ass) against the Rams. Wonder who the Packers are more afraid of?
I think King is more built to guard Evans but King also can be trashy at times.

Literally my nightmare come to life. I honestly would be more confident in Buffalo beating Green Bay than the boogie man. I'm telling you now, the outcome of the NFC game is going to predict the outcome of the AFC game. If the Packers win, the Chiefs will win. If the Bucs win, the Bills will win.

He played 80% of snaps against him in the regular season game and held him to no catches on 1 target. He's the game breaker for them, especially in the redzone, you'd be happy with Godwin putting up his season average of 6/60ish if you can shut out Evans.

Packers over Bucs, 31-27 Bills over Chiefs, 34-31 (OT)
Suck it. Bills defense is good enough to get the job done. Mahomes isn't completely 100. Hennething can happen, including Miami Chad getting his ass kicked. Chiefs could barely beat the Browns, meanwhile Buffalo made Lamar Jackson their bitch. It's gonna be a real barnburner folks, but by GAWD ALMIGHTY THE BILLS HAVE A FAMILY AND ARE A TEAM OF DESTINY! TESSSSTIFFFFYYYY!!!!
.... Fuck Tom Brady & Go Pack Go. This is the People's Championship. All things are as they should be.
