You're so fucking dumb sometimes. My god. Just thought of a response. "I'm so fucking dumb yet you drafted Gronk #2 overall...." Yes drafting arguably the best tight end of all time at 2 overall is dumb. Judging by your general stupid takes on football - who in this draft has more rings than Gronk?

Ha didn't realize that I was next! With the 12 pick in the 2010 redraft , the San Diego Chargers select: Dez Bryant , WR , OSU I wanted to be clever and take an offensive linemen here for the Chargers because of their struggles there over the years , but after research they really needed a receiver in the worst way. No receiver over 800 yards and Darren Sproles led them in receptions , Gates was maybe the best tight end in the league at that point but they needed someone on the outside to do something for them. Bryant fits the mold of a Rivers receiver with his physicality and I have little doubt he would have came in and been their best receiver. Pouncey or JPP might have also been better picks. Also talk about a weird fucking team. #1 offense in the NFL in 2010 despite Mike Tolbert being their leading rusher at barely over 700 yards and 1st round pick Matthews contributing like 600. Darren Sproles led the team in receptions , Gates in yards at like 780 and still statistically the best offense in the NFL. And it's not like their defense was bad either , it was Top 10. Yet they still barely finished above .500. The Chargers are always so weird. Anyways the Philadelphia Eagles are on the clock

With the thirteenth pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the Philadelphia Eagles select Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida
Philly definitely didn't whiff on Brandon Graham who has been a very steady, reliable contributor on their defensive line for a decade, but I think if they could go back they'd take Pierre-Paul instead who has 30 more sacks in his career, as well as being more active as a run defender. JPP became a bit of a punching bag for jokes after his fireworks incident in 2015, but as the Bucs came back into prominence this season he proved to everyone that he's still a disrupter on the edge, and a real big game player as his playoff record improved to 8-0.

With the 14th pick in the 2010 NFL redraft the Seattle Seahawks select:
Maurkice Pouncey , C , Florida
They could easily go Okung here or Bulaga even but Pouncey was simply a better player throughout his career and I think it would be a reach to take those guys over him. He would be a centerpiece of that offensive line for a decade and a huge asset to a team who wants to run early and often.

With the fifteenth pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the New York Giants select Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
With JPP gone the Giants opt for the next best option to reinforce their defensive line. A fierce pass rush was always part of Big Blue's identity and was a large factor in their Super Bowl run in 2011. Pierre-Paul's arrival really revitalised Justin Tuck after a down 2009 season, and on top of mimicking that competition, Dunlap would also be perfect to assist the inside/outside role that Chris Canty performed for a few seasons. On top of that, one of the reasons I particularly like this fit is that Dunlap really came into his own from 2015 onwards when some of the Bengals veterans had moved on, and this was exactly the same situation with the Giants with Tuck, Umenyiora and Kiwanuka departing.

Shocked they pass on Emmanuel Sanders, who was their WR core that year? Cruz, the often hurt Hicks and Mario Manningham? Receiver really wasn't a need at this stage. You forgot about Steve Smith who was coming off 100 catches and 1200 yards, Nicks was about to break out and Manningham and Hixon were perfectly serviceable WR3/4. Defence was by far the problem at this point, they were 30th in PPG in 2009.

With the 15th pick in the 2010 redraft the Titans select:
Jimmy Graham , TE , Miami(FL)
It’s been someone forgotten how great of a career Graham had before hitting a wall the past few season. The Titans were a meddling team on both sides of the ball and lacked a true threat at pass catcher with Johnson leading them in catches. Young had his issues as a passer but having a huge target like Graham would have been perfect for him and a nice jolt to the offense.

With the sixteenth pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the San Francisco 49ers select Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
The 49ers were desperate to solidify their offensive line at this stage, they used both their first round picks in this draft trying to improve the protection for Alex Smith. They went 1 for 2 in real life, so instead of Anthony Davis who retired at 25 because of concussion problems, the redraft gives them the opportunity to get Okung who is still going strong in the league a decade later. He's a player who probably doesn't really get the plaudits that he deserves, ignoring 2019 when he was limited because of blood clots in his lungs, he's reeled off seven straight seasons with a PFF rating over 70. Throughout his career he's always been a strong run blocker which would have been a great fit for the 49ers first with Frank Gore, followed by the the dual attack of Kaepernick and Hyde, and now the zone offence with Kyle Shanahan.

With the 17th pick in the 2010 redraft the Steelers select:
Mike Iupati , G , Idaho
The Steelers originally took Pouncey here but with him off the board they take a swing at Iupati to still shore up the interior of their line. Iupati always seemed like a natural Steeler with his road grading style and had a solid career appearing in 4 pro bowls and making a first team all pro selection. It was him or Bulaga but I think the interior made the most sense.

Okung was a weird one , I thought he had a better career than he did but all together he was never really an elite linemen. Really good for sure and consistent as they come but never reached the next level. Certainly don’t criticize the pick as I’ve been eyeing him since we got out of the top ten.

With the nineteenth pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the Atlanta Falcons select Everson Griffen, DE, USC
Griffen had a few incidents during his college career but it's pretty amazing in hindsight that he slipped down to the fourth round considering his productivity and awesome combine performance. If you've got a spare minute check out the list of names of DEs drafted before him! The Falcons were just beginning their journey with Matt Ryan at this time and while they had a productive offence it was the defence that was letting them down - a familiar story throughout most of the 2010s. They only registered 28 sacks in the 2009 season and only had an aging John Abraham able to get pressure on the quarterback so it was a distinct need. Griffen would have been perfect to bridge the gap between Abraham and Vic Beasley, he registered double digit sacks in both '14 and '15 while the Falcons were led with players recording just 4.5 and 4 respectively.

I'll just make it quick.
With the 20th pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the Houston Texans select:
Kam Chancellor , S , Virginia Tech
The Texans needed defense in the worst way in 2010 aside from maybe linebacker where they were pretty solid. I don't love the corners in this draft and feel it would be a stretch to take one here again and stick them with Jackson again or reach for a Shields. With Chancellor you get a huge upgrade over Bernard Pollard while retaining the same type of physical safety who is just all around better an a great leader on top of it. Not quite BPA because there is a linebacker lurking but one of the best players left and a continuation of the pillaging of the legion of boom. Seattle might be the biggest loser in this redraft looking back on it.

With the 21st pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the Cincinnati Bengals select Emmanuel Sanders, WR, SMU
The Bengals needed to upgrade their passing offence after Carson Palmer only threw for 3000 yards in 2009. They needed a second receiver across from Chad Johnson, and while Jermaine Gresham was a perfectly respectable TE who consistently put up 50/500 during his five seasons in Cincinnati, given that the Bengals bid farewell to both Johnson and one year rental Terrell Owens at the end of this season, given the opportunity again they would have benefitted from acquiring Sanders who has been a quality receiver in the NFL for the last decade. I think he would have made an excellent pair to the bigger bodied AJ Green, having fulfilled that role throughout his career with draft classmates Antonio Brown in Pittsburgh and Demaryius Thomas in Denver.

With the 22nd pick of the 2010 refresh the Broncos select: Navarro Bowman , LB , Penn State The Broncos had the worst defense In the NFL and needed help everywhere. DJ Williams was getting older and they were starting a journeyman 7th rounder alongside him so an upgrade was necessary. Bowman has probably been the best player on the board for awhile now and was an elite level defender for a five or six year run. You’ll take that at this point for a defense in desperate need of leaders and playmakers. The Green Bay Packers are OTC (don’t screw it up @admin).

I thought about picking Bowman a couple of times with the Giants and Falcons. He was (and still is) one of my favourite players I've ever watched, he was just so explosive and dynamic. It was a real shame his career was shortened by injuries because he was easily on HOF pace prior to that. His knee injury in the 2013 NFC Championship game is probably the most devastating non-Giants moment I've had watching the NFL - and I'm still bitter that they didn't give him that fumble!
With the 23rd pick the Green Bay Packers select Rodger Saffold, OL, Indiana
I don't think there's been much to pick between Saffold and Bulaga over their careers, they've both been really solid top-10 type players at their positions for many years, but in a bid not to be boring I'll switch it up. If there were better options available I think they would have liked to draft a cornerback but as UT has already mentioned, this was not a good class for that position. The Packers needed to improve their o-line, both their tackles were old and their interior guys questionable, and Rodgers was sacked 50 times in 2009. Saffold had a really solid career with the Rams, being named to the all rookie team when he started at left tackle, before he moved inside to guard and put together a number of great seasons under Sean McVay. The last couple of seasons in Tennessee he's been part of the league's preeminent rushing attack with Derrick Henry and continues to rate highly in PFF's rankings. I think his versatility could have been really handy for the Packers throughout the decade, playing at left tackle until they find Bakhtiari and then filling a spot elsewhere on the line.

Right position but I may have stuck with Bulaga , he was such a stalwart and epitome of consistency for the Packers over the year and a natural RT. He doesn't have the same accolades as Saffold or the proven versatility but Saffold had to move because his play fell off on the outside.
Bulaga was an incredibly important piece to the Super Bowl run and as dependable as you can get on the field as you can get.

With the 24th pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the Dallas Cowboy select
Sean Lee , LB , Penn State
The Cowboys are another team with a terrible defense drafting in this area , their interior linebackers were terrible with an aging Brooking and average Bradie James. I understand that Lee had his injury troubles while in the league but as the commentators constantly beat us over the head with.... they were a completely different defense with him on the field. I think the Cowboys would take the swing again for one of the more unfortunate injury stories to come out of the last decade.

With the 25th pick the Denver Broncos select Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma.
Bradford never lived up to the billing as a #1 overall pick but it certainly wasn't all bad for him, and it could have been even better had his body held up. We can't go zero QB in this redraft, and I stand by Bradford being set to make the Pro Bowl in 2017 had he not been shut down after absolutely torching the Saints in Week 1! Denver had traded Jay Cutler to the Bears and would suffer through a couple of years of Kyle Orton with a little bit of Tim Tebow sprinkled in until Peyton Manning became available. At the very least Bradford would have made this period a little more watchable and consistent, he interestingly broke a number of Peyton's rookie records in his first season with the Rams.

With the 26th pick in 2010 NFL Redraft the Cardinals select:
Linval Joseph , NT , East Carolina
The Cardinals were a mess everywhere in 2010 and you could literally justify drafting any position. Their defensive line was 2/3 of the way to being great with Dockett and Campbell but they were also starting 37 year old Brian Robinson at nose tackle and needed an immediate upgrade.
You slide Joseph into that spot and their 3 man line becomes dominant for years to come and they have a start to a dominant defense.

With the 27th pick in the 2010 NFL Redraft the New England Patriots select Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan
New England really needed to improve their pass rush at this stage, they'd traded away Richard Seymour, Tully Banta-Cain was a journeyman and Adalius Thomas suffered Belichick burn out. Jermaine Cunningham who they drafted in the second round this season never turned into anything, so instead we give them Graham who seems like a Patriots type defender, strong if unspectacular, not the biggest name in the book, more of a pressure generator than big sack accumulator. Graham spent his career in the wide 9 Eagles scheme so he would have worked well as an outside linebacker at first before the Pats changed to 4-3 defence.

With the 28th pick in the 2010 redraft the Miami Dolphins select:
TJ Ward , SS , Oregon
The Dolphins could use a safety in each spot but with Yeremiah Bell being 33 I feel the need to replace that physicality should be a priority. People forge because his career abruptly and weirdly fell off but Ward was a multiple time Pro Bowler and earned a big second contest where he was an important piece of a great Broncos defense.
PLUS they get Reshaud Jones this year who was a multiple time pro bowler in his own right. Imagine as long as he doesn’t go ... the Dolphins have a legit backbone on defense and their secondary is really good.

With the 29th pick in the NFL Redraft the New York Jets select Kareem Jackson, DB, Alabama
Jackson is a really interesting player because he's started playing dramatically better football late in his career since switching from cornerback to safety. The Jets had an elite defence at this stage but they obviously needed reinforcing on the back end around Revis, and although they thought they'd hit on that with Kyle Wilson (reading a few old articles suggested he was great value at the back of the first round!) they obviously didn't, and from what I remember Antonio Cromartie was a guy who was overrated because he made a lot of interceptions. They weren't exactly stacked at safety either, and perhaps with a defensive head coach like Rex Ryan rather than the offensive guys that Jackson played under in Houston, he makes his position change earlier and has the success he's been having with Vic Fangio in Denver.

With the 30th pick of the 2010 NFL redraft the Lions select:
Jerry Hughes , DE , TCU
From someone who looked like a bust in his early years to a dude who found new life in Buffalo and earned a nice deal. He isn’t the flashiest player or pick but I think he would have been a great fit early in with Schwartz and his Wide 9 scheme.
