I don't hate it (I actually like Landry quite a lot and agree that he really raised my opinion of him with what he did this past season) but I agree that Robinson probably would have more sense. Giants had Rueben Randle who was similar to that slot/#2 guy but without Odell they would have needed the alpha X receiver.

Reuben Randle sucks so bad though but I guess Jerry Reese may not have given up on him so soon. Ah well I don't think Giants have had a real good route runner the way Landry was since Cruz excluding OBJr. This was around the time Cruz was falling apart too IIRC.

Allen Robinson is an elite route runner though , like legit Top 3 route running in the league right now. That's been his bread and butter since coming into the league along with his size. Dude separates just to give his shitty QB's more room to miss him by.
I'd definitely put his route running above even that of a Landry.

- 79.3% success rate vs. man coverage (98th percentile) - 83.7% success rate vs. press (97th percentile) - Both top 10 scores in RP history
That's Robinson's stats and showing his route running ability - scary good. And as I said , dude is overlooked. I feel bad for him that the Bears won't get him go and he really doesn't want to be there. Let him go to a a team with a quarterback.

With the 14th pick the Chicago Bears select Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech I always feel a bit boring keeping the original pick but this worked out perfectly well for Chicago so I'm keeping it. They needed to reinforce their secondary with Charles Tillman getting older/injured, and although it took Fuller a little while to get going in the NFL he really developed after getting his fifth year option declined, and became a key part of the elite defence that the Bears put out for a few years, particularly in his career year 2018 where he was one of four Bears defenders voted all pro. He was a top 10 corner for a few seasons and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get back to that level now that he's reunited with Vic Faaaaaaangio in Denver. With the 15th pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select ILB/MLB CJ Mosley out of Alabama Ryan Shazier was a monster up until that national TV game vs the Bengals where his career ended in a collision that still makes me squirm. I don't deny what he still means to that organization to this day and the fact he can even walk or stand after that is a testament to his ability. Much respect to that man for not carrying any ill will or any anger over the situation and for him to be an inspiration to all players shows he's a badass. A career lost like his when he was so good in the mid 2010's shows you why these guys really scrap for the guaranteed money anyway they can. That being said, Steelers gotta go for the upgrade at the 3-4 ILB spot here and take a guy the Ravens would be pouncing on a few picks from now in Mosley. I said my part on him being a letdown(at the moment) with his new team in the Jets due to COVID and a week 1 injury that wiped his 2019 year out but as UT said, 4 pro bowls, some absolute clutch moments like the INT on Mayfield Week 17 to save the Baltimore season in 2018, a respected leader who took the reigns from Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs to man that squad and LB core, seems right up Mike Tomlin and Dick LeBeau's alley of the type of guy they want. Mosley isn't some one dimensional LB, he can cover the pass, can stop the run and can run after a QB if needed. Well versatile player. Now I want to see him do this in Green & White please, especially with the money owed. Dallas Cowboys OTC UT

With the 16th pick in the 2014 NFL Redraft , the Dallas Cowboys select: DeMarcus Lawrence , DE , Boise State Just about 20 picks earlier than they original drafted him , Lawrence's career has had it's ebbs and flows but he still is one of the better pass rushers in the league and I don't totally blame his recent lack of production totally on him. He's been a force of the Cowboys for a long stretch of his career and I don't think they can afford to lose that at one of their biggest needs. The Ravens and @admin are OTC

With the 17th pick the Baltimore Ravens select Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA A pretty easy like for like replacement here with Mosley gone, Barr probably hasn't gone on to have the career that some might have predicted after his outstanding second season, and has been eclipsed as the top dog linebacker on his own team now, but he's still been a strong and versatile player in the NFL. He's a productive and efficient pass rusher, and the Vikings big drop off on defence with him out of the lineup this past season showed that he's still a really important player for them. I think he would have made a pretty seamless fit with the Ravens and their hard nosed defensive culture. The J-E-T-S are on the clock Blindy

Barr going before here made this pick much easier! With the 18th pick, the NY JETS select DE/OLB Shaquil Barrett out of Colorado State One of the most dubious decisions here was not finding a pass rusher out of all of these picks until round 7 with Trevor Reilly which was dumbfounding at the time, especially with how many pass rushers there were in this class. Calvin Pace who wasn't even that great isn't doing it alone so lets add Rex Ryan in his dying days a 3-4 monster DE that took some time going but FUNNY ENOUGH who would succeed Rex Ryan? Todd Bowles and his 3-4 blitz heavy defense, and as much flack I give Bowles on this site, he made Barrett work and in the past 2 seasons become a sack machine, one who became the face of that beatdown on Mahomes and Co. in the Super Bowl and the same guy who just signed a mega deal to stay with the Bucs long term. My feeling is not even just having Bowles and Barrett reunited sooner from the get go but more so he'd have a 1st round expectation on him rather than being a nobody UDFA that Denver picked up for nothing and would have been a more featured defender as a Jet because of it. He showed flashes here and there as a Bronco but it wasn't until 2019 that Barrett ended up becoming a household name. Being a 1st rounder gives you far more leeway and has to make a GM give them all the chances in the world to succeed and I feel Shaq does it sooner. Perfect fit, perfect marriage, even if Bowles ended up failing with him and Kacy Rogers defense. Barrett would have had his potential tapped sooner. Miami Dolphins OTC UT

With the 19th pick in the 2014 NFL Redraft , the Miami Dolphins select: Trai Turner , OG , LSU The Dolphins line was old and not very good in this era , Turner is a multiple time pro bowler and best offensive linemen available in the draft , he could slide right in at right guard and move Pouncey to his natural center spot for Satele , or just flat out take over for College and give the Dolphins an immediate upgrade. With the 20th pick the New Orleans Saints select Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State I hereby solve AR14's "never played with a decent QB" problem. The Saints needed a WR, Marques Colston was on the tailend of his career, Lance Moore had moved on and Kenny Stills would soon follow. Brandin Cooks was productive with the Saints for a couple of seasons (and everywhere else he's played) but there is clearly something there that is causing him to constantly move teams. Robinson has established himself as one of the leagues true WR1s and has proven he can produce even without the benefit of a decent quarterback which not many others (except DeAndre Hopkins) can say. In the high powered Brees/Payton offence I think he would have become one of the league's absolute superstars. The Green Bay Packers are on the clock Blindy

Uh oh. No pressure. With the 21st pick, the Green Bay Packers select C Corey Linsley out of Ohio State Yeah Centers probably go this high but Linsley has been reliable and had been massive for the Packers throughout his stay up until the mega deal was signed by him to go the Chargers. Sucks a 5th rounder is the guy here but he's been so good there's no way he doesn't get out of round 1 in this re-draft so if GB wants him, it has to be here. He's been a hell of a center and capped off 2020 with an all pro year. If it isn't broke don't fix it and man this was an insane draft class for Green Bay between Adams, Linsley & Clinton Dix. RIP Ted Thompson. (On a side note how do you make 1st team all pro but not pro bowl? I think that happened to Leonard as well for the Colts this past season. WTF?) I had to double check to see Linsley if he's eligible here considering we talked him up in the 2013 NFL Redraft but nope! He qualifies here! Let the hate cometh. UT Browns OTC

It was him or this guy. Good stuff, The Browns select - Stephon Tuitt , DL , Norte Dame Never flashy or a numbers guys , Tuitt has made a really good career for himself as a cornerstone on the Pitt defense. The type of piece that the Browns don’t typically go for but ones that are great building blocks. @admin you’re up with the Chiefs.

All pro without pro bowl basically means you're a really good player but you're not one of the five or six linemen that most people know about because commentators talk about them. With the 22nd pick the Kansas City Chiefs select Telvin Smith, LB, Florida State This one might be a bit controversial because he only played five seasons - but they were really good seasons, as he's still out in front as the leading tackler from this draft class. The Chiefs (a franchise not afraid to take on guys with questionable character) could have used an young ILB to pair with Derrick Johnson (I've honestly not heard of any of these guys that started next to him during the next few seasons) and he would have helped potentially improve some of those seasons during the Alex Smith era as a genuine three down linebacker. With the 23rd pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select OT Morgan Moses out of Virginia I think with Trent Williams everyone knew how great he was at LT but Moses held his own early on as a RT pass protector and is now officially the longest tenured Washington player on the team now. A steady overall player at RT, I think he was better from what I have read earlier on but I looked at the 2014 Cincinnati Bengals and they had Andrew Whitworth who was getting north of 32 at this point and time and PW(And Real LT's favorite) Marshall Newhouse starting at RT rotating with Eric Winston so I wanted to go at the right side of the line with a consistent presence. With Zeitler and Whitworth on that OLine, I really liked their shot had they took Moses here with nothing much at CB to write home in the draft at the time and the duo of Iioka & Nelson manning the safety spots. With the 24th pick in the 2014 redraft the San Diego Chargers select: Dee Ford , OLB , Auburn The Chargers were aging in a ton of places but the draft is really starting to dry up in talent for a lot of positions. With the 25th pick the Philadelphia Eagles select Kyle Van Noy, LB, BYU The Eagles linebacker situation was pretty dire at this time - especially as they had transitioned into a 3-4 defence. That move seemed to really affect Demeco Ryans in the middle, and it also highlighted Connor Barwin's lack of pass rush as the ROLB. Trent Cole was also getting old, so a good fix would have been to add Van Noy who has played at a variety of different positions during his time with multiple teams - but really had a breakout season in 2019 when he began playing as an exclusive EDGE defender. I think he might have got to play that role even sooner with the Eagles on the other side to Brandon Graham. The Arizona Cardinals are on the clock Blindy

With the 26th pick, the Arizona Cardinals select RB Devonta Freeman out of Florida St I desperately wanted to take the QB2 here but I had to tell myself "What would Bruce Arians do?" and the 'Qb whisperer' would not opt to take a rookie so high and would rather take a 2x pro bowler and all pro 2nd teamer who was a prevalent factor in that great Falcons offense for much of the 2010's. Arians has ran through veteran QBs like Big Ben to Luck to Brady to at this point with Arizona, Carson Palmer and even though Palmer went down in 2014, Arians stuck by him for 3 more seasons! Given David Johnson didn't come on board till 2015, the Cards saw injury plagued Andre Ellington begin to wear down so getting a shot in the arm in Freeman makes a lot of sense. QB is more valued than a friggin RB but I feel Freeman has been the best RB of this class and would have done well here in Arizona. Panthers OTC UT

With the 28th pick the New England Patriots select Malcolm Butler, CB, West Alabama The Patriots don't win Super Bowl 49 without Butler so this seems like something that needs to happen for the sake of history. He's been a solid starter for the majority of his time in the league which was a real bargain for an undrafted free agent. The 49ers are up Blindy

With the 29th pick, the San Francisco 49ers select WR Sammy Watkins out of Clemson Watkins never lived up to the billing as the can't miss WR of this class for sure but he is still playing to this day and has always been able to be apart of whatever offense he's been apart of whether it was with the Bills or Rams or Chiefs and who knows what team no.4 will be. With the 49ers who are all in on Kaepernick pre-kneel at QB, they opt to not take the guy who is the "face of the franchise" today and instead get ready to move on live without both Anquan Boldin & Michael Crabtree, former leaves after 2015 and the latter after 2014. Watkins I think due to the weapons surrounding him as well as injury plagueness ended up not putting the sexy numbers once expected but he'd have a bigger role in SF once the veterans left IMHO. He also can't go off on the 49ers years later in the Super Bowl as a Chief so yeah  Broncos OTC UT

With the 31 pick in the 2014 Redraft , the Denver Broncos select: Teddy Bridgewater , QB , Louisville The Broncos are about to be in QB purgatory with Mannings last good season coming up and then the Brock Osweiler experiment which didn't end well at all. Bridgewater could have benefitted greatly from sitting behind Manning for a year and learning and added something new to their offense when ready. I have always been skeptical of Teddy Two Gloves but in the right siutation I think he could have been a good starter. The Vikings or OTC with @admin
