Yeah I was going to suggest this be the last one as we've done the first half of the decade. Maybe we can come back and do more next offseason.
With the 32nd pick the Minnesota Vikings select Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois
Garoppolo has had one of the more interesting careers - once Tom Brady's heir apparent who got moved on before getting the chance to play for the Patriots, potentially the next big superstar QB after a red hot start with the 49ers, a serious injury, one or two missed throws away from a Super Bowl win, and now the feeling that San Francisco are looking for a different option. There are some parallels there with Bridgewater who the Vikings did take in this spot - so it would have been interesting to see how Jimmy G fared starting from the off considering I think he has shown a higher ceiling than Teddy over the journey. Minnesota were desperate for a QB at this stage with Christian Ponder flaming out and Matt Cassel starting games for them.
