The more I think about it, the more I agree with the Jets making that pick. Sam Darnold has been a nightmare. Defend him all you want, but there's some shit you can't recover from. 'Seeing ghosts' on Primetime was the moment he lost his credibility as a leader to me. Him catching mono was meme worthy. The shape of his fucking head has bothered me since he was drafted. I've been over Sam Darnold for awhile now. Good riddance.

With the third overall pick the San Francisco 49ers select from Ohio State, QB Justin Fields Few years back believe it, or not Niners could have draft Maholmes or even Watson when they traded up with the Bears but instead Niners select Solly Thomas which didn’t turn out good. Jimmy G have been meh last season when he was healthy for a short period of time and can’t reply on him so finally found a franchise quarterback for the future and with the weapons and Shanhana system going to have something really special. @admin Atlanta Falcons you are OTC .

I still don't love the idea of the Wilson pick for the Jets , but I get it IF they love him as a prospect. I also think that it's a lock to happen at this point - but I really hope they don't get he and Darnold together and stunt both of their potential or opportunity. Really thought if they put the weapons and team around Darnold with the right staff and system he could good.
That 49ers trade is weird to digest but I imagine it has to be for Fields , as I don't see it being Lance or Jones. Fields should be interesting , and going to SF is good for him and his career - don't see why he wouldn't be an immediate starter in the run heavy offense and Shanny's ability to design wide open receivers which he is used to. They gave up a ton to get here so they are really putting all their chips on him.

Apparently SF said that Jimmy G is "still the guy".
They're going to probably have the Wentz/Hurts thing going on in San Francisco this season. It would just be a shame to waste or slow down all that talent on both sides of the ball on San Francisco with Jimmy G at QB if he's not better than Fields.

That's just stupid , Jimmy G. is fine but trading up and giving up this much for a guy .. put him out there. It's not a case of a QB just falling in your laps and you being confident in the starter. It's too early really anyways because there hasn't even been a camp. They are appeasing Jimmy or trying to find a trade suitor and not wanting to play their hand.

With the fourth pick the Atlanta Falcons select Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida
I've been in love with Kyle Pitts since the first time I saw him play last season for Florida - I can't wait to watch him in the pros. Good luck to any defence trying to cover Julio, Ridley and Pitts. Arthur Smith's offence uses the tight end a lot, during his time with the Titans they targetted the TE at the fourth highest rate in the league, and achieved the fifth highest YPA, and Pitts' athleticism is another level up on Jonnu Smith's. Arthur Smith loves a two tight end set too, and with Pitts and Hayden Hurst, the Falcons would have a fantastic combination. This team would score some serious points.
The Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock @theshow

With the fifth pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select Penei Sewell OT Oregon This is a no brainer. The Bengals badly need to upgrade Burrow’s protection. They’ve only made one OL addition this offseason so adding arguably the top OL in the draft is the smart move. Drafting Sewell will give the Bengals someone to protect Burrow’s blindside for years to come and they can slide former 1st round pick Jonah Williams to RT. It’s tempting to go Chase, Pitts, or one of the Alabama WRs here but they already have two very capable weapons and as the Bengals showed last year, they can find more WR help later in the draft. It’s not a flashy pick but the Bengals instead make the smart and safe choice by investing in their OL. The Miami Dolphins are on the clock @admin

I still just don't love the Pitts pick for Atlanta. @admin isn't wrong in the least and his stats with Arthur Smith back it up and make it likely ... I just think the Falcons have so many holes , especially on defense that it doesn't make sense to take a luxury pick right there. Then again ... Pitts is apparently a generational talent. Personally I'd take a quarterback or try my hardest to trade back with a team who doesn't want to miss out on one , if they stay put though it's 99% going to be Pitt's because the defenders in this draft take a step back. Cincy and Sewell is the easiest matchup to make in the draft. The Bengals need to protect Burrow , Sewell is a great prospect and would instantly upgrade their team and protect their franchise. I think the Bengals even need to take Darrisaw or whatever LT they have next on the board if Sewell shockingly goes before them. It's Cincy though so I could see them completely fucking it up.

Also it shows the brilliance of the Dolphins move , going down three spots , picking up a first round pick (and more) and STILL getting probably the #1 guy on their board they were going to take at #3 anyways.

I love the Pitts pick and given how much Arthur Smith values TE's I think it's a great move. They can address defense in the later rounds. I prefer this over any QB taken after the big 3.
And I see Burrow getting his go to WR at the 5th pick but Sewell makes the most sense. They're good either way.

The Bengals don’t need a receiver this early , not in the slightest. I actually like their two guys. Boyd is a great possession/slot guy and Higgins and Burrow has a chemistry and Higgins gonna be really good. They need offensive line. Drafting a receiver would be stupid.
I don’t disagree with the Falcons per say but Ryan I still think is a cut/trade candidate next year unless he has a Rodgers resurgence, taking someone like Lance also makes sense.

I think Higgins is the go to receiver. Dudes an animal. If they don’t draft an O Line then they’re dumb.

I agree with you on Cincy but I have seen a lot of rumblings on Cincy valuing a weapon over OLine as far as BPA goes. If they have Chase higher on board over Sewell, they take WR Round 1 and go after OT in round 2. But I agree with @theshow's pick, just not sure Cincy does it.

With the sixth pick the Miami Dolphins select Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU As UT said, the trade down for Miami looks like it will work perfectly as they should be able to draft the same guy that they would have taken at #3. The Dolphins needed to surround Tua with more talent this season in order to really be able to evaluate him - anyone jumping to conclusions writing him off after 10 games with one of the league's weakest position groups is foolish. They've already signed Will Fuller, and adding Chase to DeVante Parker turns that right around. The Alabama receivers obviously gained all the attention this past season while Chase opted out, but his 2019 was simply absurd, averaging a ridiculous 21 yards per reception on 84 catches. His size and speed combination make him the WR1 in this very talented class, and considering how quickly rookie receivers have started to make their mark in the NFL in the last couple of seasons, it's easy to see him having the type of instant impact that his former Tiger teammate Justin Jefferson had. The Detroit Lions are on the clock UT

With the 8th pick in the draft, the Carolina Panthers select: QB Trey Lance out of North Dakota State. An obvious pick for an obvious need. I personally do NOT like this pick. I think the Panthers should continue adding lotion and baby oil to the deal and going all hands on deck for Deshaun Watson. Maybe they make this draft pick and still do the trade and Houston gets this rookie QB. If Deshaun Watson is completely off the table then they’ll have to settle for this guy. It hurts me to make this draft pick, but I don’t want to mess up the draft with my favorite players so I’ll play it safe and keep the algorithm normal here. Plus Matt could use a guy he can build from the bottom up to be his type of QB and we all know Matt RHULES! Did I sell you on this guy yet? I didn’t think so. pduh and the Denver Broncos are on the clock.

With the 9th overall pick the Denver Broncos select, DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama Address one of the needs the Broncos I was hoping Trey Lance drop to me which didn’t so decided to draft a WR to pair up with Jerry Jeudy unless Broncos getting Watson don’t let me down Drew Lock 😒 Blindy Dallas Cowboys OTC

I don’t understand WR being a Broncos need at all. Jeudy , Sutton coming back and Hamler had a few moments and showed slot ability after being taken fairly early. Plus Fant. Zero reason why Denver should take a receiver.

WR is a need for the Broncos? They already have Jeudy/Sutton/Patrick/Hamler.
No way Vic Faaaaangio is passing up the opportunity to take whoever they think is the #1 defensive player in the draft.

Oh shit yeah Patrick too. If anything they have a WR surplus considering needs elsewhere and as you said ... they get their choice of whatever defensive player in the draft.

I think Rhule goes with the QB they saw at the Senior Bowl and coached up, Mac Jones. Supposedly they were raving mad about the guy  and I see Joe Brady getting to call his shots and run an offense under Mac Jones better than the wildcard of Trey Lance. Lance has the much higher ceiling though. With the 10th pick the Dallas Cowboys select CB Patrick Surtain II out of Alabama Secondary has been a huge need in what feels like ages for Dallas so getting the top cornerback and ENDING THE OFFENSIVE RUN is what I plan on doing. Dak Prescott has a big deal, Amari Cooper has a big deal, so QB and WR are no goes. Lawrence and Jaylen Smith likewise so pass rusher nope. They got Keanu Neal to run back at LB so the S and CB are the positions of need. Get Dan Quinn a ballhawk of a corner that was every bit of important as the offense and the Cowboys get 4 seasons of potential CB1 in Surtain, the son of Dolphins long term corner Patrick Surtain Sr. Borderline chalk pick but unless the Pats or WFT want to swing up for the final QB of the Tier 1/2 group, Surtain will be the guy. GIANTS OTC @admin!

Cornerbacks are tough in this draft. I’ve seen some have Surtain slipping to late 1st and others going well ahead. Some have him to the Cowboys. Could be a number of guys there but at least it wasn’t a wide receiver.

Seems like a safe pick more than anything. Him and Diggs former teammates make up the 1-2 punch for Big D.

I wish Jaycee Horn falls to 23 ugh he's another one who killed it recently at the South Carolina pro day. Want Jets to get one of these corners with the later 1st rounder. Newsome despite the injuries looks like a gamer too. Same with the Va Tech kid.

With the 11th pick the New York Giants select Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern Giants still have major problems with their offensive line which has barely improved over the past few seasons despite a variety of moves. Andrew Thomas improved as his rookie season went on, but all four other starting jobs are still question marks with the best player Kevin Zeitler leaving in free agency. Slater is a versatile player who can conceivably play at any spot across the line, but you'd think he'd either be a RT or RG for the Giants. Despite not being a heavily recruited guy, Slater showed his quality when he shut down Chase Young a couple of seasons ago, and is being ranked even above Sewell as the best lineman in the draft. I think his quickness and ability to get up to the second level in the run game would be an excellent fit for a Giants offence that will be looking for Saquon Barkley to have a career year. The Philadelphia Eagles are up UT

Slater is a mauler, would be a heck of a guard duo with him and Hernandez. Think he might project better at G but Daniel Jeremiah has Slater ranked over Sewell as top OT in the draft. Good fallback if need be if Solder isn't right after the COVID opt out.

Yeah so Devonta Smith is my favorite player in the draft and if Denver drafted him, I would throw something expensive out my window. I selfishly wanted to draft him to Carolina so he can be my guy but it wouldn’t make sense there.
I still think Carolina trades the draft pick during the draft. I can see New England getting hungry and drafting up to the spot.
