Crazy to think this was a big deal back when Moxley signed. And no one could predict gage would be at all relevant some decade plus later. Hell I wouldn't have even had guessed Mox would go back. Figure once you have a "brand".

Gage was never this big in CZW. In CZW he was just another deathmatch guy but nothing special because he did not really connect with fans there that well. Before he went away he was getting worse and worse in the ring too.

Then dude goes to prison and turns out, he wrote back nearly everyone who wrote to him and got this insane following of loyal fans that blew up into the MDK gang when Gage started to talk to his fans directly about what they mean to him, something that would normally kill a career for a deathmatch worker with a tough guy gimmick.

Utterly surreal journey that oddly enough kind of follows Foley's journey in many ways, sans the prison stuff.

Packed place tonight for GCW. Not sure if it is sold out, but looks damn near capacity and the crowd is freaking red hot. Pretty packed card too.  

Oh fuck, Gage is getting Suzuki at the next GCW show. This should be interesting, as Gage loves this style of wrestling although he does not really do it.

Yup, place was absolutely packed. They basically are the new super indy fed. Lots of cash spent on this show as they had a ton of people show up for it.  Xpac, Sabu, Virgil, Matt Tremont, Jeff Jarrett, Mox, Homicide, Ruckus, B-Boy, Lufisto, Psycho Clown, Nate Webb, Thunder Rosa, 911, Swoggle, Ruby Soho, Dewey Donovan and more.  Was a supershow for them for sure.

I don’t know Gweedo at all but this came up on my Twitter feed after your post, probably some petty BS but what a coincidence

Gage/Mox from the show titled Fight Club was a blood bath. I loved every second of it.

I find it so funny that Mox just randomly itches to fight Gage and do these bloodbaths. Like, he normally is not into them, but every now and then, he just itches to fight Gage and get torn up. And it is really only Gage he has these matches with.  He will do deathmatches with others, but only like lets Gage go all out.

Am really glad that Mox now with a kid did not do his old style of match with Gage and not take the insane risks they used to.  Was a fairly tame match given how psychotic their matches used to be.

Also, Brett Lauderdale has been accused of buying a bunch of fake covid tests for his wrestlers in 2020, around the time of GCW's "Fight Forever" 24 hour wrestling event, an event which resulted in a lot of wrestling fans getting COVID.

Usually wet blankets are used to put out burning body spots. Joey did not do anything new. ShadowWX did the burning Senton and someone back in the day used to do a burning roaring elbow. Funk did a flaming clothline in one of the ECW matches IIRC.

Hoodfoot match in GCW stopped last night after him and Slade did a stabbing spot with broken tubes and Hoodfoot slashed his arm extremely badly cutting open an artery. Reporting 40 staples to repair the damage, with internal stitches to repair the severed artery.

Don't hit play if you do not want to see a gruesome injury.  Got to love the optimism of that ref thinking tape will do a damn thing.
