This. Not the best. Not the worst. Just kind of there.

I watched ROH for the first time in a month or two last night. Boring episode. The Kingdom still sucks. Cody does nothing for me. And The Addiction remain years removed from their prime.

The one thing I did like about the show was heels trying their damnedest to actually be heels for once. I just wish they were more interesting and less bad at wrestling. 

Looks like ROH is coming out with its own streaming service. It's about time.

I found the weekly ROH show in my cable guide. It looks entertaining. So despite my annoyance about the TV tapings and how they are taped in so far in advance and some storylines being dated depending what I may stumble upon. I'll check it out.

I pay no attention to Tapings. I just enjoy ROH

You aren't to far off on Kenny King if you believe what Jim Cornette says about him.  Cornette is kind of a dick himself though and their is always two sides to every story but it does sound like Kenny really fucked ROH and left them high and dry with how he left ROH a few years ago. Kenny is a much better tag wrestler than he is singles like he is now.  With that said though Kenny seems to have perhaps cleaned up his act and maybe some of that bad blood has went away...it must have, he's the tv champ.

I hope Kenny cleaned up his act, since last time he had ROH gold, he ditched them for another company.

And I don't know what Cornette said about King. I don't listen to shoot interviews or anything. I just can't stand Kenny King. He is overrated as well.

Kenny King & I. My uncle knows his aunt. This leading to meeting Kenny for the 2nd time. I meet him in 2009 when ROH came to Orlando during Nigel's long title reign. He was super cool and down to earth. His aunt made a plate of food to take home.

As previously reported, Stephen Amell, star of the hit CW show, Arrow, was announced to be a part of the Ring of Honor event last night in San Antonio.

It seems that Amell intended on doing way more than just making an appearance as was first hinted at when he said he was “putting his undefeated record on the line”. As was previously seen, this referenced his match where he was victorious along with Neville against the team of Stardust & King Barrett at SummerSlam in 2015.

Last night, Amell made his Ring of Honor debut, teaming up with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks to take on The Addiction, Scorpio Sky, & Flip Gordon in a 5-on-4 handicap match.

Amell Has continuously been impressive in the ring and has shown that he is not just an actor, but an athlete in his own right. He has been known to perform a lot of his own stunts and was even a guest to compete earlier this year on the celebrity episode of American Ninja Warrior, where he had the run of the night.

Amell joined The Bullet Club, and even performed several double team moves with Kenny Omega and even an Indytaker with Matt Jackson from The Young Bucks. Most surprisingly, Amell was even put through a table. Hats off to this man, who has been been a wrestling fan all of his life, and really going all in now on both of his matches that he has had. 

Last night's ROH tv episode was very good. Mark Brisco heel again...didnt see that coming.

Shane Taylor vs Cheeseburger was cool.

Jay White vs. Matt Taven (w/The Kingdom)
Decent match, White worked on top early, rocking Taven with some solid strikes. They brawled around ring-side until White picked up Taven and nailed him with a brainbuster on the ring apron. Taven collapsed on the floor, before Ryan & Marseglia rolled him into the ring because they're morons. O'Ryan and Marseglia kept inserting themselves into the match until it paid off, with Taven catching White with the Climax (Headlock Driver) for the victory.

Backstage, Flip Gordon approached Coast 2 Coast with a proposition. He was sick of getting beat up by The Bullet Club, so he's assembling an army of guys with nothing to lose and everything to gain. He tells them that they were the first two people they thought of. Coast 2 Coast accept the offer and tell Gordon they know somebody from the west coast who can help out.

ROH Television Championship Contender Series Match
Shane Taylor vs. Cheeseburger
A short squash match where the 300-pound Taylor didn't want to hurt Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger wasn't having any of that though, firing Taylor up with a couple of strikes. Cheeseburger was able to lock in a sleeperhold and a superkick, but couldn't get Taylor off his feet. Eventually Taylor was able to hit Cheeseburger with a monsterous chokeslam and finished the ROH cult hero with a stray right hand.

After the match, Will Ferrara and Rhett Titus (The Dawgs) made their way to ring-side and made Taylor an offer. They would give Taylor a glass full of loose change to put Cheeseburger on the shelf. Taylor responded by pouring the change over Ferrara. Both guys high-tailed it ending the segment.

ROH aired a package covering the recent Mark Briscoe controversy. Mark was set to face Kenny King for the ROH Television Championship, only for Jay Briscoe to throw in the towel after the bell had just rung. Jay Briscoe walked to the back without discussing the situation with his brother as tensions grew between the two brothers.

Silas Young promo. He's set to face Jonathan Gresham next weekend in the third and final ROH Television Championship Contenders Series Match at ROH Final Battle. So far the match is made up of Kenny King, Punisher Martinez and Shane Taylor. Silas puts over Gresham, but tells Gresham that after the match he'll recognise why they call Silas the last real men.

Backstage, we saw Scorpio Sky walk into the lockeroom, only to be approached by Coast 2 Coast and Flip Gordon. Ali broke down the situation for Sky, Gordon told him that he needs somebody with nothing to lose and everything to gain and asked Scorpio if he's that guy. Scorpio agrees to work the match as the guys give one another bro hugs.

Hangman Page vs Dalton Castle
Cody joined Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana to call this match. They had a decent back and forth match - Castle showed plenty of good fire early and Page has a couple of nice dives in him. At one point during the match Castle had the match won the Bang-A-Rang, only for Cody to yank the referee out of the ring preventing the three. The match continued with both guys countering each others signature moves. In the end, it took a miscue from Page and Cody for Castle to hit a german suplex and tap Page out with a variation of the wristlock.
Winner via submission: Dalton Castle

After the match, Page laid out Castle and Cody forced Dalton to kiss the ring.

Promo package on the Bully Ray storyline. At Death Before Dishonor, Bully Ray suffered a concussion after Jay Briscoe dropped a table on his head. They showed clips of Bully Ray cutting a sombre promo in the ring where he admitted he didn't know whether he could get his revenge against Jay Briscoe and was considering retirement. They also aired another promo where Tommy called Jay Briscoe out for being reckless and admitted he felt partially responsible for breaking so many chairs across Bully's head.

Bully Ray came out and cut another retirement promo, this time putting over ROH. This brought out Joe Koff who thanked Bully Ray for his services and said he was welcome to work for the company in another capacity. This brought out Jay Briscoe who got in the face of both Bully and Koff, causing security to rush out and escort Koff safetly out of the ring. As Bully had his back turned, Briscoe attacked him from behind and just as he was about to attack Bully with a chair, Dreamer and Velvet Sky ran down to protect Bully.  Mark Briscoe then came down to talk some sense into Jay, but ended up attacking Tommy and both men laid out Bully with a 3D to close the show.

Mark and Jay get mega heart due to their beatdown of Bully & Tommy. Nice to see Scorpio Sky. I thought he retired years ago.

This was a good show. Shane Taylor and the pennies was great. Briscoe Brothers vs. ECW should be fun.

The show opened with a backstage Bullet Club promo. They hyped up tonight's main event against Flip Gordon, Scorpio Sky and Coast 2 Coast and cut an ironic heel promo on their opponents.

ROH Television Championship Contender Series
Johnathan Gresham vs. Silas Young (w/Beer City Bruiser)
Gresham spent the majority of the match on top, with Silas struggling to compete with Gresham's athleticism. Fortunately it wasn't all dives either, in fact there was plenty of comedy through out the match. One spot saw Young execute a sunset-flip, only for Gresham to wrap himself around Young like a pretzal. Young couldn't get out of the hold and started an argument with the Bruiser on the outside. Both guys went back and forth until the Bruiser caught Gresham on the top rope. That slight hesitation allowed Young to dodge the high cross-body and hit Misery (Fireman's Carry Cutter) for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Silas Young

Final Battle promo with Kenny King (c) vs. Punisher Martinez vs. Shane Taylor vs. Silas Young confirmed for the show.

We then went backstage for a Kingdom promo. TK O'Ryan called it a conspiracy that The Kingdom weren't the ROH Tag Team and 6-Man Tag Team champions. Vinny Marseglia vowed that next week they would be the champions and The Motor City Machine Guns would be the victims.

A video package from last week's confrontation between The Briscoe Brothers & Dreamer/Bubba aired.

War Machine came out for a tag team match, only to get attacked from behind by The Addiction. War Machine got the better of the Addiction, before Rowe threw Kazarian into the crowd. However, Rowe ended up throwing Kazarian into a female fan, who suffered a busted her nose, and the segment came to a halt. The Addiction ran for the hills, leaving everyone shocked around ring-side.

Coleman's Pulpit: This week's guest was Kenny King. At first the interview started jovial, but then Caprice started making fun of Kenny King's appearance on the latest season of The Bachelorette. For those unfamiliar, King was on the latest season, but left the show after 9 episodes because he missed his daughter. Coleman called King out for pimping out his daughter and being a phony. King flipped his lid, telling Caprice that a King is higher than a Bishop and at Florida he will put his TV Championship on the line. He vowed that when it was over, he'd only have two words for King, checkmate. Pretty sure it's just one, hey Emperor. Caprice seemed happy that he was able to score himself a TV Championship shot.

Jay Lethal came out to the commentary both to call the main event.

They aired a package from last week's main event where Cody & Adam Page laid out Dalton Castle.

The Bullet Club (Marty Scurll & Adam Page & The Young Bucks) (w/Cody) vs. Flip Gordon & Scorpio Sky & Shaheem Ali & LSG
Before the match, Cody cut a promo comparing his opponent's chances to Castle's at Final Battle. Cody's stint as a manager didn't last long before he was marched backstage by Todd Sinclaire. The match lasted 18 minutes and was just a crazy exhibition of high-flying spots. The Bullet Club dominated the proceedings, but their opponents had their moments with Gordon in particular standing out hitting all sorts of crazy top rope and athletic spots. Towards the end, it appeared Gordon had the match won after Scorpio Sky hit a frankensteiner and Flip followed up with a 450. However, Page and Scurll broke up the count. The Bullet Club recovered and finished the match with a super Meltzer Driver/Indie-Taker on both Gordon & Sky. The finish had shades of Hogan/Yeti/Giant from Halloween Havoc ' 95.

This weeks show was very entertaining. Did not really care for Coleman's Pulpit. Loved it when the Bullet Club ran the train on Sky.

Wow. Okay I know it's a few weeks old, but it's the first post I was directed to when I decided to check this thread out. Amell and Cody... I want them to be connected forever.

Caught a few minutes of the show last night for the first time in a month or so.

I usually like Silas & Gresham but they both seemed a little off last night. Could be those two just don't match up well, as they have very different styles. I did get a kick out of Beer City Bruiser's constant interference. The crowd even booed!

The Final Battle TV Title 4 Way looks like a gigantic mess on paper with four heels, none of whom are even particularly over.

Yep. The Kingdom still sucks. Marseglia doesn't even fit in with the other two. And why do they throw up four fingers when there's only three of them? I've never been able to figure that out. They're so the ROH version of X Factor.

I want to watch Briscoes vs. Dreamer & Bully Ray. ROH gets my dimes if they bring that match to Baltimore.

I wonder who the woman Kazarian got thrown into ran into is? I assume she has to be a worker. Wonder what her storyline, if any, will be? I just hope it's not another lawsuit angle because that worked out so well for Veda Scott & Cedric Alexander.

I conked out during Coleman's Pulpit. Have to be up early for work and all.

Ahh. Thanks. I must've missed King's face turn. That's what happens when you only tune in like once a month. The 4 Way TV Title match makes a lot more sense now.

I could be wrong, but Taylor may also be a face.

To be fair, I didn't realise King was a babyface until the segment with Caprice Coleman. Nothing about his commentary alluded to him being a face.

I still expect the match to be a stock standard fatal four-way regardless.

Taylor is a heel. 

Kenny turned face after the bachelorette and they even had his daughter show up when he won the title in his home town. 

Ah okay, it seemed like Taylor was in the middle of a turn after that segment with the Dawgs.

Nah, he will just do stuff for money. One week Cody paid him to be his bodyguard. It was just him being pissed the Dawgs were being cheap. I guess he is kind of a tweener leaning towards the heel side.

Yeah, Jay White is great in the ring. He seemed a little bland from what I have seen of him, but no doubt he has the tools to take him far in the wrestling biz.
