There isn't much OMEGA available online, but what little I can find is a gif goldmine. Here are the Hardys being ahead of their time with the flippy stuff... Beef Stew Lou not being all that he can be... Vic Grimes and Erin "Crash Holly" O'Grady got hired on the spot after the GOAT dark match. Among the highlights was Grimes going full Jean Pierre Lafitte...

A brief attempt @ charisma by Death Rey.
Lights Out Bitch
Her nickname was the American Angel and a lot of people saw her as the female Am Drag, but she was more the female Roderick Strong: serviceable and fun to watch, but not much in the way of personality.
May have pinned herself here.

AWF: Where we gif in rounds
There's over. Then there's Sgt. Slaughter in the AWF levels of over. What a guy! Texas Hangmen with some split screen suplexcellence... And to combine those two gifs here is a Texas Hangman taking a Sgt. Slaughter bump... Tom Brandi with a wicked fallaway slam on little Jimi V...

I always get the Texas Hangmen confused with the Texicans. I blame Shanghai Pierce for wearing a mask!
The snap on that fallaway slam is so good. Eat your heart out, Razor!
And I'm mad that it's taken me this long in life to finally have the word "suplexcellence" introduced to my brain.

1. I always get the Texas Hangmen confused with the Texicans. I blame Shanghai Pierce for wearing a mask! 2. The snap on that fallaway slam is so good. Eat your heart out, Razor! 3. And I'm mad that it's taken me this long in life to finally have the word "suplexcellence" introduced to my brain. 1. 'Tis a common misconception. As much as I like blaming everything on Tex/Mideon, Shanghai/HOG does deserve the blame this one time. 2. Agreed. Just further proof that Tom Brandi is super underrated. kashdinero is the only other person who understood. 3. Confession time. As is the case with most of my best lines, I stole it from an Apter Mag. A pic of Taz Tiger Suplexing I think either Furnas or LaFon was captioned with something like "Taz is suplexcellent!"

Tom Brandi being sincerely smooth... First time I saw these three cool moves... Remember popping in Matt The IRS Fan's basement when a jobber named the Black Phantom hit this cool DDT on Razor Ramon... Also popped again some 20 years later upon discovering the Black Phantom was a young Gangrel. And now for the move that inspired tonight's theme. Konan 2000 (Scott Putski) blowing tired minds after 2 a.m. on another otherwise boring episode of AWF tv when he hit this move on Rick Thames of Southern Posse fame that I would later associate with matches involving Angle, Benoit & Brock... Scintillating segue! Into Angle hitting Benoit with the first Buckle Bomb I ever saw. And I'm gonna let it run so everybody can see Benoit sell this devastating new maneuver by.... hitting what will now be known as the Putskiplex. What a hack... Next Time: A pair of memorable belly to belly superplexes, Ahmed Johnson being a beast, and....something else.

Sorta disliked Angle doing germans. It fits, but it kinda killed Benoit to me as a kid since Kurt had so much going for him. Felt like Benoit needed them as his own more.

I remember having a similar feeling, feeling like each guy should've specialized in their own suplexes. Benoit with the Germans and snap suplexes. Kurt with overhead belly-to-bellies and... I dunno, gutwrench side suplexes?

I once saw an amusing post I'm sure Ed will get a kick out of where the poster mocked WWF pushing Angle a suplex master because Dutch Mantell (allegedly) had a greater variety of suplexes than Kurt. Never really got into The Dutchman myself so I can neither confirm nor deny this claim.

Besides the language difference, I wonder what else differentiates a Dutch suplex from a German suplex?

I don't know about a Dutch Suplex but now you've got me searching for an old segment where (I think) Heenan & Gorilla were riffing off the German Suplex by claiming some other suplex originated in Hungary. No luck yet, but I am far from giving up.

All this suplex talk got me going down the suplex rabbit hole again... Seeing these ones makes me really feel like I & WWE really missed the boat on pushing American Alpha as the new Steiners meets WGTT: Love the rolling Northern Lights in particular! Then, the rabbit hole taught me that you never want to take a suplex in Japan: Or from Brock:

🤯 that first suplex is a beaut. Shades of Doug Williams! OUCH on the third one. EDIT: Didn’t realize the Northern Lights in gif #2 rolled into another. Also cool! Continuing the suplex theme with some superplexcellence from 1996... Rad Radford pulled out all the stops in his blowoff match with Skip including this big belly to belly superplex... Unfortunately for Double Rad he would be defeated in what turned out to be his WWF swansong when the debuting Zip interfered on Skip's behalf. =============== Barbarian got over with me more in one Nitro match against Eddie Guerrero than he had in the previous 8 years. This is one reason why... The other reason is because Barb slapped a few fan's hands on his way to the ring. My friends and I popped for the rarely seen nice guy heel. ============== The big high spot of the HOG & Bradshaw Superstars CLASSIC was this big beefy superplex in spite of very loose ropes and a rock solid ring... Ahmed Johnson & 1-2-3 Kid turning a basic lockup into a memorable high spot that has stuck with me for a quarter century...

Thread is dead but I still have a three rounds of gifs locked and loaded so I might as well pull the trigger... Came across an excerpt of Mark Henry on Austin's podcast which got me to thinking about my favorite Henry move. Wish this had been his finisher... Kane and Albert had weirdly good chemistry.... Kanecanrana! Albert with an impressive feat of strength... Beth Phoenix makes Melina kick herself... *Next Time: The GLOW Piledriver. Then a mix of Beth and Konnan. And that will probably be it.

Cleaning out the last of the gifs I had saved... More Konnan. This time with the very cool Super Putskiplex.. It's no wonder I briefly considered him one of WCW's best in ring workers in early 96- right up there with Benoit, Malenko, Eddie....and Lex Luger. Gooooldberg... Almost 30 years later that hack AJ Styles would bring this back as the Hollow Point but it'll always be the GLOW Piledriver to me...

Hooray! Finally found footage of Mabel's big package... And since I recently mentioned it in the PPV Countdown thread, here is the highlight from Austin/Taker at Summerslam 98...

Hooray! Finally found footage of Mabel's big package... I just love this as a finisher, not just because of Mabel's size but because of his execution. It feels so legit. Mabel hooks that front facelock, similar to a setup for a DDT or vertical suplex. But then he drops his considerable weight. As the opponent, with your head hooked tight, there's no way you're resisting that gravitational pull. But just to hedge (and maybe it's only more obvious in Mabel's case because he's green and/or so slow) but Mabel sorta sweeping the leg to preemptively hook it with his just screams of nuanced expertise. Once things get to the canvas, Mabel's girthy roundness almost ensures he won't be stuck on his own back. And it assists the rollover. Where the final touch of real magic is. Sure, Mabel has a great banana split splade going on, hooking each of his opponents legs with his arms and own legs... But it's that positioning of Mabel's black matter density mass directly over the chest/shoulders of his opponent that seals it. Probably only Superman is ever powering out of that predicament, and even then... It'll probably only look like a relatively feeble kickout. And that's assuming Mabel's opponent, regardless of physical strength, has the mental strength to overcome the suffocating claustrophobia of being smothered by such a crushing bulk of inhumanity.
