A little different in the execution though.

Charlotte is a foot taller than most of he opponents, a super athlete who (kayfabe) rode into WWE on her father's name - who's father was loved and adored by the brass, especially Hunter.

Cody is a puffed up cruiserweight, who needed to leave to get over. After his family being alienated at times by WWE, especially by Vince.

What should happen here is Lashley throws everyone out and wins

Yeah, it kind of completely came out of no-where. A few weeks back Mysterio put over LDF, and visa-versa and they turned babyface. And Rey pretty much threw them all a shirt on Smackdown and said buckle up bitches..

Nice conversation between KO/Sami and The Usos to open the show. It ended with Sami laying down the hard truths about how he was loyal to Jimmy and Jey Uso throughout his time in the Bloodline, while their blood, Roman Reigns, was not loyal at all. Jey Uso in particular reeled from this comment, and responded with some words that sounded strong on the surface but really didn't have much force behind them: "We gonna win, Kevin gonna term on Sami like he always does, we stay tag team champions." The Usos have no real answer to what Sami said.

Cody Rhodes cuts a pretty good promo. Roman Reigns rocks up for the last 5 minutes of the show only to say his two word catchphrase. That's overtime for Reigns as he doesn't normally show up at all. I know all the hard work has been done in building this match, but that was a really lame go home segment.

It's nice to see them bring back the LWO as a babyface faction.

I think it's one of those ideas that history looks back more fondly on. At the time, there was some serious nWo fatigue and it was like 'oh great now a Latino World Order, what's next? A European World Order?' Then on top of that they were booked as heels despite their beef being with Bischoff. Maybe they would have eventually turned babyface but Eddie had his car accident that effectively killed the angle dead. I loved how they explained the departure by putting Ric Flair in charge, calling out the remaining members offering them a raise and everyone went back to working throw-away matches.

It's one of those ideas that clearly resonated with fans, so them bringing it back, selling some more shirts and giving Legado Del Fantasma that rub is pretty sweet.

I'm hoping Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo can get in on this action - Dragon Lee too! Either as members or as foes.
