As much as most of the NXT fanbase annoys me, I wonder how the facelift for the brand will impact the enthusiasm for the show.

Huh, starting off with a Mandy Rose match.

She's been on the main roster as sexy muscle friend that I forgot when she was in NXT she was developing nicely into LADY HOSS

I'm happy that Raquel Gonzales is happy with the state of her upper back, but it's still sort of an odd signature pose.

Kinda reminds me of that one time (early) Batista came out on the stage, didn't know what to do, and started doing bodybuilding poses.

Which is fine and all, but let's be honest most bodybuilding poses look exceptionally weird and sorta gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I don't get the back pose either of Raquel or at least the way they hype it up. It's featured behind her when she walks out :lol: Then again the pec bounce thing Lex Luger did didn't really do anything for me either. 


Man I really hope main roster WWE treats Austin Theory well. He is missed, Gargano and Lumis seems sorta forced and not in the good way for me. I miss heel Lumis but I get why they're doing this with Hartwell, he can be marketed better as a good guy. Theory is young, looks jacked and can work, he's like the poster child of what Nick Khan wants to do for 2021 NXT.

This is another thing the internet will go mad about, but it makes sense. Vince wants stars and his farm system had been turned from a developmental brand to an alternative pro wrestling show featuring guys who were never going to be stars in a million years (O’Reilly, Gargano, etc.) It had two main goals. Cut the legs out from under AEW and produce some big money stars. It failed catastrophically at both. If people are pissed at this they should have watched NXT when it switched to Tuesday. But no one does because it’s uninteresting. Vince should produce it for a while and hand it over to someone who knows what he wants. HHH is not that guy.

I guess in a way being under Vince's thumb is gonna be training for the main roster. No point in HHH kid gloves and isolated if that's not gonna be your reality on the main roster. The experiment was fun, but it's time for us to move on.

The main roster shows are borderline unbearable, if true I doubt I'll be watching NXT in full anymore. Super Indy NXT is one of the only wrestling shows I watch in full, the others being AEW's Dynamite and Rampage... would hate to lose one of the shows I actually enjoy.

Can't wait for the HHH v Vince match at match to incorporate this into their storyline..

Bloom, SDR(Del Rey), HHH, HBK are going to be apart of the training team and will be responsible for preparing the trainees and talent to be ready. The idea of wanting to go with bigger talent is fine, I think Nick Khan has the right idea in who he is bringing. But no one should feel happy that Pritchard & Vince who have devastated RAW for the most part should oversee this and make this brand better than the cringe stuff we've seen like Alexa's Playhouse. Considering Vince rips scripts up and does not allow for any sort of freedom for the brand is not a good thing IMHO. 

NXT should have never been put next to AEW, they were doing fine being a separate entity. They have produced tons of talent, the problem is Vince has thrown the likes of Keith Lee or Aleister Black out or took long reigns like Shayna Baslzer or Asuka and had them beat instantly. Karrion Kross is another example here. Very rarely has main roster done good with the talent that was built up strongly in NXT. 

Todd , If NXT fails now, how will Vince blame? There were some things I disliked about the old NXT but, at least the brand had its own identity. What will make this brand different from Raw and Smackdown aesthetically speaking? speaking for myself, I no longer have the enthusiasm to watch this brand. I fear it will just be another paint-by-numbers WWE show. With the same feel and presentation. If Vince & Bruce oversee Raw with their constant micro-managing, how will things be any better in NXT? Vince never points the finger at himself.

I don't think success can be measured in a tv product since it's developmental. Networks probably still want content, but pass or fail will be on if it can produce STARS. If it does, it's a success like it or not. I think we need to stop thinking of it like a third brand going forward.

Vince pit NXT against AEW thinking if it fails, he'll blame HHH. I don't get why NXT and AEW could have been on different nights from the start. Vince doesn't like anything that he doesn't create.

The expectations are different; goalposts got moved.

If it's back to just developmental, then ratings don't matter. Putting another company out of business doesn't matter. Shoot, even not losing money doesn't matter. All that matters is that you produce someone who has a chance to make it on the main roster, success rate nearly irrelevant, and you're good.

And TBH NXT never really had a chance if the expectations were that it should be an AEW killer. Wrestling's always been a little counterculture, a little biased towards the defiant and the underdog and WWE was the Establishment. Even when the two were head to head, I actually liked NXT's product better but watched AEW live because it was more important to me that they get the ratings points to remain viable.

I could see Vince being like hey guys remember that movie, twins? with Arnold and Danny in the 1980s? let's have Drake & WALTER be those characters as a tag team. GOOD SHIT, PAL!

Obviously sucks for the future of NXT (about to get ECW'd), but Triple H getting his one project taken away from him is objectively funny.

I wonder if the Creed Brothers, being in NXT, wearing black wrestling singlets is a hat tip to NJPW's rookie wrestlers, who wear plain black trunks for their inaugural careers until they earn the right to have a real gimmick.
