Looked like all of the matches were RoH / AEW guys vs people not signed so I figured the winners were obvious from the matchups. I hate booking like this.  Like they are using the jobber system.   Easy enough to just get rid of the winners if I post next time.

I like that Zack is doing the round with the NJPW TV Championship. That's what the championship should be. If he makes it to AEW, I will definitely watch. Zack draws the dollah.

Fingers crossed it's just teething issues for the time being and once they get some angles underway they can start putting on stronger cards.

Kingston-Claudio seems like an appropriate feud to kick things off. If they can debut a couple of acts on the show and build I think it can be a viable way to create some buzz.

Yuta called out Shibata.

Claudio instantly falls back into his CHIKARA role with Eddie take the mic after Eddie called him out. This feud is gonna be great.

Video for the backstory of Eddie and Claudio.  This was the feud was one of the best feuds in Chikara.  Also caused legit heat as after Claudio whipped Eddie with the belt, then for one reason or another they could not have the return match that Eddie wanted, then Claudio bailed to WWE.  Eddie believes Claudio knowing he was going to WWE did not want to take a loss from him on the way out, and since Eddie was the champion, Claudio would have been losing the third match.

Another great promo from the feud.

So what this match means? For Claudio it is a chance to finally prove we was better than Eddie then, and better than Eddie now. This will make it two for three that he beat Eddie and prove Eddie is a psychopath holding a ten year old grudge, and just like back then, he Eddie's inability to control his emotions is his biggest problem.

For Eddie, he feels if he beats Claudio for the RoH title, he can demand Claudio give him the ONE THING he always wanted but never got, Claudio's respect.

While Tony will not air the Chikara shit (most likely, Quack may lend it to him since this was Quack booking), it will be referenced and was already. Eddie told Claudio be promised Mox when Claudio came into AEW he would leave him alone, but this was not AEW. Eddie is referencing they have a score to settle. And we are already seeing the cocky, more viscous, Claudio, coming back that knows Eddie is beneath him and this title shot.

Gonna be a heated main event between the two former training partners and roommates.  Also likely they will draw from Eddie's feud with Hero to make this match appear like a shoot given Eddie spent years mentioning Claudio and this rivalry in shoot interviews.  While he said they reconciled in AEW, not everyone is aware of that.  They both were around Eddie when he fought Hero for real in a ring, so I expect to see something like that break out during this feud.  

Does anyone know anything a out the ROH tag team championship match, or is it just Lucha Bros. still that are in the ladder match???

Really hot card.  

That is a really good card. Shibata is the draw for me, but a couple of those other matches are tempters.

Yea, the card looks great. That ladder match looks fantastic, despite the fact The Kingdom are most likely winning it.

Main event is gonna be a banger. People are really sleeping on it, but should be the best Claudio match in a decade or more. Their Chikara series was great and not one makes Claudio look better than Kingston. Pretty sure the title changes here too so Claudio can focus solely on AEW.

Just a solid card overall with no real filler.

Full Kingston - Claudio promo.  Easily the best of the feud drawing on the past and getting extremely personal.   Something about working together brings the best from these guys.

It certainly brought the best out of Claudio, that's the best thing I've seen him do. For once he sounds convincing, confident, champion-like. Meanwhile Kingston didn't say a whole lot in that promo, I wanted more out of him.

Kingston did more in the other promos while Claudio was mostly silent, simply telling him he cannot be champ because he has no honor.

OMFG Quack gave Tony access to the library!!!  AEW did a video on the full feud with the old promos, and the old matches.   Even get a Hero sighting and the birth of the BDK.  Can see how amazing this feud is with the stuff that started 14 years ago coming to a head now.  This is so amazing.

Only big moment missing was Eddie demanding Claudio gives him respect in CHIKARA, and Claudio refusing to leading to a massive break apart brawl.

Turn Dark into Chikara.

Or just bring Quack in silently and let him book, work creative.  

WWE still uses him without heat.

Hopefully, Quack hasn't burned every single bridge he's crossed. I'm thankful for his role in entertaining me for so long but, I understand, how he can thin on people. Shame because he likes the smell of his own shit a little too much.

He was being brought in as a special guest host for NXT on and off, which means he has some support there. Not sure how the former CHIKARA guys feel about him. Eddie and others said they could tell things were off and that is why at the end they left. Seems at least Tony and Quack are on reasonable terms with that video. No way Tony do that without paying Quack for the rights.

Quack is a great guy to have work under someone.  Put him on the top and his ego goes nuts but people like Bliss who worked with him in NXT had nothing but great things to say about him.  Every now and then his name comes up from a WWE guy you really would not expect to have been trained by him.  I know Bliss was the weirdest for me and why I remember it so well.

My takeaway from this video is that Eddie Kingston is a little shit who refuses to acknowledge that Castagnoli is, was and always will be better than him and give him (Castagnoli) the respect he rightfully deserves.

The shoot storyline is Eddie took the losses because he was booked to beat Claudio in the finals of the 12 Large tournament to be crowned the first Chikara champ. Then after taking the wins Claudio bailed.

Backstage they made up, and are doing this feud, but this shit was not all keyfabe since Claudio was teaming with Hero when everything went down.

The worked story is they were good friends but Claudio always felt he was better than Eddie. When Eddie would beat him, Claudio refused to show him any respect. Which lead Eddie to want more matches to try to force Claudio to respect him, which he then lost, each time with Claudio disrespecting him more and more. Now Claudio is in RoH and he comes in as this great guy who is the face of honor, which makes Eddie sick so he will once again try to force Claudio to respect him. And frankly, could go either way still.

Then there is a BDK stuff which was justifiably cut out but lets just say using ancient artifacts to control people's minds, and sleeper agents to steal secret wrestling moves, should not be allowed in any wrestling fed.  

Tony redid all the RoH belts. They will debut tomorrow.

Hype vid for tonight.  REALLY good stuff in this.  This one included footage of the break apart brawl between Eddie and Claudio in Chikara.  Also see some more of the savage side of Claudio. 

Eddie falls right back into the Last of the Dying Breed Eddie so easily.  As does Claudio with BDK Claudio.  They hyped this to the max as Claudio is the one guy Eddie cannot beat, and never wanted to see again.
