Well everyone knows they are coming back and seem happy with it.  They also know Punk is not returning and see happy with that.  Tells me where the drama really is.

They’re not gone gone he was just saying that Punk isn’t the only one gone so it’s hard to point the finger at only him for creating drama backstage. Some of it could be The Elite’s fault.

Like with the other report that broke today about Kenny Omega’s locker room speech at the mandatory meeting before All Out. Apparently his comment about 8/10 people on the roster not being good enough to be here was confirmed to be accurate, and he also pointed at Will Ospreay and said he’s not even an employee and could wrestle circles around most of them.

Punk’s comment about “working with fucking children,” was accurate. It would have been a great shoot if he just aired his grievances with The Elite and left Colt Cabana out of it. And also didn’t start swinging on them when they showed up in his room with the head of HR.

Kenny is right. 8/10 workers in AEW have no right being on television, let alone employed.

Be it Punk in the AEW locker room or not, it'll still be a shit show of drama with Omega and the Bucks there too, now that the honeymoon phase is wearing off, and the company isn't pulling in big viewership regularly.

Yeah, the Bucks have an odd reputation in the industry. There was the situation with Booker T that was blown out of proportion, but their relationship with NJPW was really messy and they weren't happy with their push. Granted, the major source of their heat was with Harold Meij who left the company but there's still some bad blood there. Based on what's been said in AEW, they aren't really troublemakers, rather they keep to themselves and their friendship circle. They try to push them as much as possible at the expense of all this talent that Tony has brought in, and it's this constant to and fro on who makes TV.

I do think there was some professional jealousy over Punk, hence the 'tribute act' line that got thrown around. Which is funny considering the Bucks made a career out of tributing Shawn Michaels.

They do have other issues, namely Sammy Guevara who is still rough around the edges. Jericho looks out for him, but that's largely down to Sammy being Jericho's Stevie Richards.

FYI, Cody was beloved backstage and was giving to every talent he worked with. There was a weird schism in the company when the Elite decided they didn't want his chocolate in their peanut butter.

Also, Kenny just hates the US Wrestling scene. Not so much the boys, but the fans and how they'll heckle international talent. Watching him on that one Street Fighter stream, you get the sense he'd much rather be in Japan than have to deal with that nonsense. He meant that thing he said about 8/10, he'd much rather the entire company look like an alternative as opposed to a WWE-lite.

Big Pete Kenny Omega telling the audience how much he should hate them in that post-match rant is evidence enough to suggest he has some dislike of the American audience.

There wasn't exactly any humour in that speech, nor was it sad with a sense of irony.

So one of Punk's complaints was him trashing the wrestling journalists for reporting without actual proof. But even with the big issue that just caused Black is also upset with them doing the same thing to him. Having to explain himself to the public while he is try to mental recovery. Rosa was also upset yesterday since she just recently got blasted while trying to physically and mentally recover.

So should wrestling journalists be held to the same standards as a normal journalist. If they keep reporting on stories that are actually false to reveal their sources under court order. So leaks can be removed or dealt with by the company or if the journalist want to keep the source hidden then take some jail time.

Most TV "journalists" these days show up in court saying no reasonable person can believe they report factual information, so not sure even that should be the standard. There is no duty in the US at least to report news as facts. There was at one time, but conservatives back in the 80's pushed against it and had the law changed and fight readding the rule.

In the US there is only a very, very narrow scope for courts ordering journalists to give up sources. Only way to get it, is to try to prove that revealing the source will end an existing lawsuits or trial and all other means to obtain the information have been exhausted. And generally this is only used in national security cases.

So really, wrestling journalism is just a reflection of what passes for American journalism standards.  In the era of alternative facts, you never trust a single source and admit all reporting has a degree of credibility to it.  What I find interesting is that some reporters have routinely been called out for being wrong, and people do not adjust their beliefs over time.  Like no matter how many times SRS is wrong, people still believe his shit.
