TK can't handle conflict.

A fight breaks out between his biggest stars and instead of dealing with it, closing it out, reprimanding the talent... he brings in a third party to deal with it. And it's more than likely a case of TK wanting to remain cool with the boys.

Could you imagine Triple H letting Roman Reigns job to whoever the fuck is the IMPACT Champion? No, absolutely not.

It makes sense. Every time he allows one of his wrestlers to wrestle somewhere else, there's a chance they'll get injured - meaning they can't wrestle for him. He doesn't benefit from his stars working at a circus like GCW!

Mox went off to Japan a few years back and ran the G1 gauntlet, got hurt and couldn't work for AEW... why didn't TK learn his lesson then?

But the boys are running AEW, TK just doesn't know it yet.

Last. He just agrees with Cornette and only watches AEW and the WWE main roster PPV stuff. He's gotten admittedly lazy on the show but he's just meant to be the host and guy to agree with Cornette and bring up what is going on in the IWC/wrestling world.

Last doesn't always agree but he won't argue about Cornette opinion. He use to try to get to Cornette to give more women's wrestling a chance but it seems he has giving up there. Now it seems both actually are starting to dislike watching AEW which is different in the past. Since they use to have the Cody or Punk areas of influence to watch.

I almost forgot what I originally was going to say oh yeah. Amazing how Tony came to this new mindset after Mox sign that new 5 year contract. And being able to work other places might have influence the decision some. It is also the reason Danielson picked AEW to be able to wrestle other places like NJPW.

I miss this Tony Khan, I love when he feels like he has all the answers.

You know what happen to that Tony. He really wanted to hug Joe but all his stats told him it would be a fatal error.

If he wants to the guys to be truly exclusive, he will need to up their pay.  He had a good deal paying the guys less, but letting them working elsewhere.  He goes exclusive, it will be costly.  If mean if have to give up your freedom, why not go to WWE?

Apparently, didn't learn from WCW.  You start letting the inmates run the asylum and you'll share the same fate. 

Vince is a despicable human being in my books, BUT he drew concise boundaries of who was the boss and there was no question. I want AEW to succeed, but I don't see this as a long term thing unless TK stops being everyone's friend and starts being the boss.  Being the boss is a lot like being a parent: you can't be their friend AND be their parent, otherwise the little hellions will run roughshod over you and be complete assholes in life.

If Tony acted like Vince he would not have gotten Mox or Bryan Danielson. Both signed jumped for the freedom to work elsewhere. 75% of his roster works elsewhere. Exclusive contracts will not work for him, unless he is willing to pay WWE money. Pay will have to go up 30% to 50% across the board to buy out what guys makes from other events.

For people critical of Mox in NJPW, that was the cost to open the Forbidden Door. And Tony got a lot of top guys making appearances in return.

It is stupid too to think it is better for guys to sit in catering getting bored instead of working other shows with Tony's blessing. Sure they will not get hurt in catering, but they will also not want to be working for you long. And unless Tony starts to mass fire the majority of the roster there is not room for everyone on the roster to work every week on TV.

LOL. Half the roster in AEW sits in catering. Thunder Rosa didn't make an appearance for like a month, despite being champion.

But, sure, the $300 and a hotdog she gets wrestling on the indies is an awesome trade off.
