Sounds like Sammy was physical in this one, after crying that Kingston socked him. Wonder if Guevara gets suspended for this or not. Andrade probably but it's probably in Guevara's best interest to want to be suspended or else there will be plenty of people backstage knowing he has preferential treatment.

We're told the incident happened at an AEW Dynamite show in Washington D.C. Wednesday night. Sources tell us words were exchanged, and then things turned physical. Sammy allegedly pushed Andrade, and then threw several punches. We're told Andrade responded with a punch of his own.

Is this Sammy's 2nd or 3rd suspension with AEW? I know he got one for his rape comments on Sasha Banks. While not a suspension, he outright refused to work for Impact when Impact/AEW were doing a joint partnership. 

Vacations he likes to call them Would be number 3 at least.

Swerve is the man. I don't think he will pull a Lio Rush but he keeps it real. Probably why everybody gravitates towards him wherever.

Still have no fucking idea how Swerve ended up in AEW. Like, WWE seriously could not find an angle for him? Rumor is Mox was the one who pushed hard for Swerve in WWE as he loved Killshot.

I mean, Cody is not really wrong. He was well known before AEW. Any who watched WWE knew who he was. Then he was a pretty big star in Japan and RoH which is how he leveraged Tony into starting AEW in the first place. Sure Jericho helped launch them, but AEW was starting with or not without Jericho. And this is a really petty fight since it is a coin flip where Jericho retires at this point AEW or WWE. He is having a ton of fun in AEW, but WWE would allow him to go out at a Wrestlemania.

Well full story came out. Andrade wants out of his contract, and thought beating on Sammy would do it. Sammy made a snide comment to him backstage and Andrade punched him him twice. Tony may bench him for the duration of his contract as him and a 2 or 3 others are considered part of a toxic group backstage that clearly do not want to be there anymore and are counting days until they can work for HHH. Tony has no intention of releasing anyone early though.

-Sammy didn’t throw any punches.

-Andrade waited for him in the hallway. All witnesses said Andrade sucker punched him after Sammy “may” have said something to him.

-Andrade threw 2-3 punches before people broke it up.

-Andrade is trying to get fired.

-Both were spoken to on Tuesday and told to cut the shit. Andrade specifically was told that a fight would not get him released, so people knew he was going to start something. Then he still did after he was spoken to.

-there are 2 or 3 wrestlers that want out and have become “locker room cancer.” Andrade is one of them. Speculation is the others are Black and Murphy but to call them cancer is weird given how well they’ve handled themselves. Black even said he plans to return to AEW soon. There might be others.

I’m happy to hear Sammy didn’t do anything and that the TMZ story was mostly bullshit. Makes me feel better about him wrestling last night. He’s still a piece of shit though.

We might literally never see Andrade again. I’m curious how long he signed for. If it was a 3 year contract that’s a long time to sit at home. Maybe he eventually goes to WWE but by then who will give a fuck. The guy is a mediocre wrestler that continues to piss people off. It’s like he expects to be world champion or nothing.

Part of the problem is that when these bland as dishwater guys started to sign for AEW, they were massively overhyped as ‘game-changers’ by AEW fans who were convinced that all these guys were main event stars in waiting, and were held back in WWE by Vince. I’m not surprised they’ve got egos because of it. Andrade is one but there are others. They all need a reality check.

The cure used to be going to smackdown... then tna...then aew. Maybe certain guys have a ceiling. Not saying WWE doesn't clearly limit them... but recent events helped WWE a lot.

It's worth noting this is coming from Meltzer & Alvarez and there were about 3 versions of the story as told by 5 people. Meltzer has been critical of Andrade for well over a year and I think it's pretty easy to conclude that one of his sources is Jericho.

I doubt the truth is too far from that version of events, but I don't buy that as the full story. Sammy's story maybe as relayed by Jericho, but not the full version.

Similar to how we've only heard the Elite's version of what went down with Punk.
