Oh shit, near the end of this was Punk stories of fighting fans, and beating up a vet and mocking the noise he made as he kicked him in the ribs.

Punk during this era was known for getting fans to take a swing at him, then fighting back, leading to the locker room coming out and wailing on the fans too. Forgot he mentioned it himself here.

Other shit in here about them going to parties and stealing people's shit.

Like anyone else this shit could have been used to pull them from shows Spanky style.  

Assume if this does blow up Colt takes the fall.  

Comments like that reflect the person at that time, and that time itself. It was a different era, a completely different world.

And each and everyone being outraged today, likely popped listening to this stuff back then.

If the wrestling world cancelled everyone who said something 20, 30, 40 years ago that might be considered inappropriate now (and even then) there won't be many people left to fill a card.

What is important is how they behave today.

You can be an immature punk at 20-something years old - what's important is they've grown from this, matured and learnt some lessons. If they haven't, that's the problem.

Did not matter for Spanky. That interview they attacked him for was deep in his drug addiction phase. Context did not mean shit then though.

Whether you get a second chance or not, depends on how big you are.  Big guy gets all the chances in the world, the small guy loses their job and get blackballed.

Looks like shit is chaos at AEW right now. People found out yesterday from the dirt sheets Ace was rehired. And now with Punk not coming back it seems, Collision will no longer have a soft split, and people will be expected to be at both shows.

Of course people still hitting the copium hard and saying none of the negative news about Punk is real, that people are lying about Ace being hired, but the news of Punk returning as the face of the show is totally real.

Reports are two places being booked now for Collision. If Punk keeps acting out they will run Daily's Place instead. Reason why despite being four weeks away, the place has not been announced and tickets not went on sale.

Punk still pushing on his fans that it is the journalists making up the drama.

The difference between Mike Johnson of PW Insider and Meltzer and Alvarez: Johnson will actually verify facts before reporting something, as one should do in news (remember back when libel and slander were things a reporter could get sued for), while Dave and Bryan don't.

It’s Punk’s first debut on steroids. Fans knew for months that he was coming back while the dirt sheets kept saying they weren’t sure, hadn’t heard anything, etc. Nobody actually said Punk’s return was happening until it was like the week of and there was no denying it anymore.

This is the same thing but even worse because instead of people being hush hush and the dirt sheets just speculating, they are actively being fed bullshit information.

Seem more complicated than just working people with Ace being brought back. He hurts someone else Tony will risk a major lawsuit that it will be impossible really to defend against, given he already fired Ace for hurting someone backstage. I cannot imagine his legal people being ok and hiring him back to get Punk to return is not a defense courts will give two shits about. And courts would love to slap carny shit like this with heavy punitive fines

Also the current story does make sense.

On Tues the decision not to use Ace on the road as an agent was made, then Punk flew off the handle demanding Ace or he walks. So WBD was told remove him from the image while they work this out. And here we are. Tomorrow he will know if Punk will come back or not, then find out about Ace shortly after.

What is interesting about all this, that is really overlooked, is Punk can no longer tell Tony to fuck off and go back to doing UFC stuff on the side.  WWE / UFC merge means UFC are now a competing company.  He got to play nice to get permission to still do UFC.

All of the people into this dirt sheet worked shoot nonsense are watching that show anyway. It’s for a tiny audience and they already watch everything. This dirt sheet shit has never drawn a dime.

Yup, dirt sheet drama only will ever draw existing fans of a show, as they are the only ones who would care about the drama at all.

That said I do not think this is dirt sheet drama booking. Think it is Punk being himself. He always loved working his fans and the dirt sheets at the same time. And when Punk does this, the only person who truly benefits is Punk. Not be shocked if he is the one leaking everything to the dirt sheets through middle men just for his own amusement.

Could have locked things down this morning. I do not care about Punk either way, but really curious how they resolved the Ace stuff.

Fightful comments are there was a lot of legal paperwork going back and forth this week between Punk and AEW which def could explain the uncertainty. Particularly around non-disparagement clauses and contracted dates.

Word is everything is set for Punk's return. Agreements with Punk have been signed and sealed under NDA's and legal contracts. Ace will be employed, but working remotely. Details of the arrangements are not known to the roster, nor will they be. Legal locking all this shit down hard now.

Should Punk freakout again, it is believed in these new contracts were termination with fault clauses, and legal action will be taken. Likely set up as a deadman switch of sorts, where legal will take action without needing to wait for Tony first. Wording implies that Tony is also under an NDA so may be coming from WBD themselves to protect themselves as they are platforming the show.

Kellar is likely not wrong. A lot of people did not want Punk back and no longer have any respect for Punk. Only a matter of time before dirt sheets make those people public.

Tony will use the shows to seperate people. This week I seen a bunch of people speak out in favorite of Punk so there is no shortage of Punk fans, particularly with the women. A bunch of the guys also went to bat for Punk. But some did not like him from the indy days and still hate him, and it is likely those people that will speak out against Punk and dirt sheets will blow it up.
