CM Punk makes one off-hand remark when the cameras stop rolling and now it's wall to wall coverage. Does any of this actually interest anybody? The only reason this is a story is because it's CM Punk and he drives clicks. If AEW were smart they'd invent their own version of the hotline because that would seemingly draw more interest than their television.

That's what we should be talking about and it really speaks volumes that there's more interest in Punk paying out Page for not selling toys.

I guess I think of the message it sends to the locker-room - TK will prioritise the feelings of CM Punk over loyal soldiers like Christopher Daniels and sure, even Hangman. Who is as close to being a founder as it gets without actually being one. And even veterans like Hardy, who a lot of young talent idolise.

Reports are, whether Punk is right or wrong it's not worth making his enemy list at the moment. Which isn't a great culture, when an individual can dictate who goes where and why depending on his mood.

Start tracking who disappears from TV without being injured. Those will be the ones who Punk has a problem with.

Most of those are accurate but I’ll say two things:

-his resentment towards The Rock was more because they brought The Rock in to end his historic WWE Championship reign, which resulted in him once again not main eventing Wrestlemania despite being the longest reigning champ in modern history at the time. His anger was not just towards The Rock himself. I see where Punk is coming from but also like..who cares? It’s The Rock. Sorry about your luck bro.

-he was right about The Undertaker. What an asshole thing to say. It’s ok for you to be a tattooed biker as WWE Champ but Punk can’t be himself? Fuck off.

Just seems like Punk had a tough time understanding the hierarchy. "Why does he HE get to do this?" Because he's HIM and you're YOU. "But I'm here full time"

Because you HAVE to be. That's the difference.

Punk understood it, he does did not think he needed to earn his place. Was always his problem. And continues to be his problem. The rules just do not apply to Punk.

So for Brawl In looks like Punk started to argue with Perry as he came back after his match, the it escalated and Perry said something what are you gonna do about it, and Punk shoved him, he shoved back, then Punk choked him. Perry was then sent home.

So Punk started the argument, Punk turned it physical, and Perry was to blame.

Punk holed up with security after his match then left.

Reports now are Punk and Perry are both suspended, and Punk may not return.  He threatened to quit before he went out to wrestle Joe.

Belief is internally all the blame will be put on Perry, as while people see Punk sharing some of the blame, no one really wants to deal with him.

Regardless of whether it's Perry's fault this time there's a common theme with every issue. Punk.

The common problem is clearly the rest of the roster. Just fire everyone and everything will be fine.

Wonder what even will have the next Punk brawl. Brawn or Nothing? Full Brawl? Forbidden Brawl? Brawlution?

Where are you seeing that Punk started the fight? Everything on wreddit is saying Perry started it. Punk is still getting shit for fighting but if he didn’t cause it then I don’t know why he’s the problem for standing up for himself.

Kellar. Punk made a comment to Perry as he came back from his segment, they argued, Perry eventually said something like what you gonna do about it, Punk pushed him, he pushed back, Punk "de-escalated" things by putting him in the choke. Sounds like Punk also is the source.

A lot of people are saying Perry should not have said the real glass line in his segment, told Punk to do something about it while they were arguing after Punk said he would quit then and there, and that Jack should not have passed gorilla after his segment.

The report makes it clear that Punk was deescalating things with the choke, which I find very telling, as who the fuck would claim choking someone is deescalating except for the person doing the choking or someone very biased towards them.   Punk so leaked this.

Punk can be a douche, but has earned his spot in wrestling. Perry, on the other just seems like a douche in general (the way he was acting at a fan fest some time ago proves that).

It'd be nice if Khan were to finally show some guts, and suspend both guys. But we all know that would mean he'd have to be a boss, and not everyone's friend.

It's kind of telling when the most entertaining things in AEW is what goes on backstage, and never what goes on in the ring.

I find it funny that Punk never tried to do this on say Bobby Fish who tried to break out of a 3 count off the GTS, probably because Fish could defend himself in a fight. He'd punk out Jungle Boy though

Technically he did. From what we were told, The Elite just came back sooner because Punk was injured. But do we know that for sure? No.

Giving myself the old Barry Horowitz pat on the back for nearly 20 years of "CM Punk is the 21st Century version of 90s Shawn Michaels!" drum beating. Rarely have I been more right. I'll even go a step further and declare Punk the new champion. Yep, that's right. Punk has actually surpassed 90s HBK for the top spot on the all time Locker Room Cancer list. At least HBK had his 2000s redemption arc. Punk only gets worse with age.

Assume split PPVs are coming next to keep Punk completely separated from the Dynamite roster moving forward.  Cause if not, on a shorter clock for the next one as the originals get sick of this shit always happening at this major events, which will just trigger Punk to assault people.

You really got to wonder how the Manager of Talent Relations, that was added after Brawl Out, could allow this stuff to happen. Oh wait, he is banned from Collision because Punk does not like him...

Punk refuses to work with talent relations so up to Tony himself to deal with him.

Guess we will see him next year.  Easy few million for him working a few weeks a year then getting suspended and staying at home the rest.

If Tony was a man, he would say Heelz is competition and pull Punk from the show until he gets his shit together.  Tony has him for five more years, as that year he was out Tony gets back.
