If Punk can act like a grown-up & not cause disharmony in the locker room, OK.

Can't wait for Punk and Jericho firing live rounds with their super meta worked shoot promos. I actually feel kinda bad for Hangman because this is exactly what is going to happen and it was Hangman’s promo that started Grumpy Punk on his path to destruction. And he didn’t even say anything really out of line. Punk just took offence and cried about it.

Yeah, Punk showed several times he wants to do worked shoot stuff on others, but if it is done to him he throws a hissy fit. And I assume that is what he will do here.

Imagine if this entire thing is a work. reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/12nin18/the_devil_is_in_the_details/EDIT: tl;dr A guy on reddit mapped out how this could all be a work using the Magnum TA/birth of the Four Horsemen angle as an example. If you don’t know, there were shoot promos and fights on TV involving these guys + Dusty Rhodes that made mainstream news. For the record, this person doesn’t think it is a work, but there are a lot of similarities and it is a fun read if you have the time.

Best reddit comment on Punk.

I doubt TK is that good of a creative mind to figure all that out. I do think Punk is cunning enough to give the audience something to chew on for months while he is out of action.

Funniest part of it all is seeing people that liked Punk telling WWE to stick it, now hating Punk for giving an opinion on three guys that couldn't draw flies to shit.😂

In Punk's defence, The Elite are really easy to dislike.

The real irony is the Elite very well could end up in WWE next year headlining PPVs while Punk is midcarding on the AEW b-show. HHH wants Omega and the Bucks badly. Lock them or hate them, Bucks sell merch like none other, and Omega HHH has wanted for years.
All three guys have Owens and Sami too that will go to bat hard for them. As will Styles, Nakamura, Cody and others.
And none of them are getting any younger, so next year will be their last chance most likely to do Wrestlemania at 100%, and not as shadows of themselves if they sign for 6 more years like Tony will aim for.

Funniest part of it all is seeing people that liked Punk telling WWE to stick it, now hating Punk for giving an opinion on three guys that couldn't draw flies to shit.😂 Yeah, I'm not a fan of The Bucks but they're big parts of AEW. Both parties seem to have a different kind of asshole mentality. Punk is the up-front asshole, while The Elite are the passive-aggressive type of guys. Punk, more often than not comes across as the entitled veteran that thinks all those that oppose him on any issue are children & he knows it all. Not a good mindset to have because when Punk may have validity, he's far less likely to get listened to. Punk also comes across as if he doesn't have full control of situations, he doesn't empower others, allowing them to give input & put their best foot forward. He seems like Hulk in WCW. That doesn't work for me & my crew, brother! Yeah, The Elite are brats but they must not be bad enough to make Punk look like he's saving people from a burning building as if he's a conquering hero.

Didn't like every journalist say it was not the Bucks they got the Colt rumors from? It was likely the Dark Order guys who leaked it as they all worked with Colt for far longer in Chikara, and were teamed with him in AEW. But people are still shitting on the Bucks for this. Makes no sense.
Punk said it was a Bucks, but not a single person would confirm it, even off the record. But fans now insist it was the Bucks fault, that they are pissy little children for it and they deserved what happened in the locker room brawl for talking shit.

Ultimately the responsibility to ensure these types of things don't escalate like they have is of AEW and Tony Khan, and being in positions of power and influence like The Elite are, there is some responsibility that they don't lower themselves to the bullshit. They should (and potentially in contrast to their personalities) hold themselves to a higher standard as an example to the locker-room.
With Punk, you know what you're getting. A cranky, old asshole who has had a messiah complex since the day he was born into the industry. He doesn't hold a position of leadership, but The Elite do and regardless of their own lack of maturity, they needed to act like adults and leaders from day 1 in AEW and it's very likely they didn't, don't, and likely won't.
Throw all that into a blender and yoy have what they have - dysfunction.

Well of the two sides involved, only one side saw someone fired. Think that will tell you which side was in the wrong here. Do love the side with the head of legal, Megha Parekh, is being considered the immature side, because even the head of legal, and real VP, was apparently also not allowed to comment on Punk's scrum comments.
And if the Elite are getting treated at all like they are in the wrong, then they should say fuck AEW, and go headline Wrestlemania, something Punk himself will never do. Better pay, bigger stage. They can leave in 8 months, Kenny in about a year.
Khan wants them to sign 6 year contracts, but really, after the Punk shit, why would they? Tony made it clear that their EVP status meant shit when he suspended them, then rewards Punk basically with his own TV show to return to.

The EVPs didn't face any real punishment, and got to keep putting on their "PWG" style matches, while Punk kept getting his name drug through the mud.🤷 Then again, if Omega and the Young Bucks were to run over a litter of puppies, then throw the car in reverse and burn rubber on the puppies' carcasses, the "AEW apologists" would say it was unavoidable and really not that bad... And Meltzer would give it 8 stars.

It was a strange podcast because if you listened to it, you could tell they were always going to sign with AEW and had made peace with their earlier run. The only grievances Dax really had left was with MJF being selfish, Road Dogg for using his position to bury them when they were on SmackDown and the Observer for their reporting.
With that said, I don't think it helped the FTR act to have Dax share his insecurities.

However you're right and having somebody air their dirty laundry in public just comes across unprofessional, even if Dax often threw himself under the bus moreso than anyone else.

I dont trust everyone will play nice after this, whic is why Id rather see them part ways with punk and move on

When I was in university I worked at Denny's as a line cook. In my 4th year there, the restaurant manager quit, on her last day she said to you "if you weren't so good at your job I would have fired you long ago". Punk kind of feels like that. Except he doesn't realise its just a shitty job where he is being a gigantic asshole. the world is better without assholes, I wish he would fuck the right off. .

I give him a year before another fight and he is fired. Want to say it will be with Eddie backstage. Real old bad blood between them. Not at Hero levels, but pretty close. Hero, and Punk, where the two that lead Blackjack Marciano to quit. In IWA-MS Punk said him and Eddie were fat, lazy and dangerous, and should not be wrestling at all. Punk also cut them down hard on commentary. This is what started the Hero and Eddie heat, and it is said that he has almost the same levels of heat for Punk. The only difference is Punk and Eddie not come to blows in a ring for real yet and were separated shortly after Marciano retired.

I'd personally be pretty happy seeing Kingston get slapped around. I think he's likely as problematic as the next guy.

HHH is such a fucking hypocrite. Remember when he said if you enemy comes to your show, you should invite him in? He should have let Punk chilled. It is backstage anyway. Besides if HHH REALLY wanted to build bridges, you let guys from the other company come hang out. Then when their contracts are up you ask them if they liked what they saw.
Hell Black showed up on camera at some WWE events recently and they did kick him out either and press got pictures on the red carpet and everything.
Wonder if Tony likes being a cuck, cause that is how Punk is treating him with this though. Guess Punk realizes now nothing he does can get him fired, so why not go all out.
No shock that many in AEW are seeing red right now. The guys Tony accused of having secrets talks with WWE must be loving this shit. I assume Miro is just outright done with AEW right now.
