What do you like to drink?
Alcohol, sodas, hot drinks, whatever! What are your favs?
Do you go out drinking often? Do you need three cups of coffee to get you started in the morning? Do you prefer Pepsi or Coke?
These are all probably questions that have been asked here in a thread before, but all the political threads are getting me down and this is the first idea that came into my head!

I'm very specific with the brand of bottled water I drink, it has to be Evian and nothing else.
Soft drinks, I like Dr Pepper, Cherry Coca Cola and Irn Bru.
Juice I can dig Vimto.

Those are all fine choices Jake! I haven't had Irn Bru for ages, but now I want some. Vimto is excellent, but not the fizzy stuff. That's noooo good.

Pepsi but sometimes a good FAYGO will just hit differently.

Classic Coca Cola. I will not even entertain the concept of Diet or No-Sugar. And anyone who suggests No-Sugar tastes the same is delusional.
Some international favourites.. Irn Bru from Soctland and L&P from New Zealand.
Coffee is a major part of my diet.. on a day off work, it's usually 3 by lunch time. While at work, it's one to wake me up in the morning, then a large Cappuccino w/2 sugars by 10am. And usually, another coffee when I get home.
These are my vices.
I don't really drink alcohol. Realistically, I was a social drinker ( never really drank at home ) and when Covid hit, I had no social life. So, it was easy to go without. The last few drinks I have had in the last 2 years, where at funerals. I have a wedding next weekend, so I might indulge and have one or two. But I never got the notion of drinking 1 or 2 beers - it won't get you drunk, and it doesn't taste that great. Nor drinking excessively at my age.... to quote Will from The Inbetweeners - " Isn't a pint a lot when you think about it - I mean, you wouldn't drink pint after pint of orange squash would you? "

I drink water mostly. Orange juice on occasion. I might drink one or two sodas a year. I gave them up after some health scares a decade or so back.
I seldom drink alcohol anymore. I’ll drink a beer or glass of wine on occasion… but it’s very rare.

I don’t drink alcohol whatsoever despite having worked in clubs for 10+ years now . Even if I did drink before becoming a bartender, it probably would have put me off it anyway. I drink excessive amounts of cola, prefer Pepsi but coke is fine also. Have gone cold turkey off it a few times before and tried to cut back but working evenings/nights and it also being free at work makes it hard.

Tea -
If it's first thing in the morning, probably earl grey vanilla, or english breakfast. If it's later on in the day, lemon ginger, or chamomile if it's before bed. Also gingerbread tea in Dec/Jan yum.
1 can of pepsi at lunch
Water with true lime/true lemon/true grapefruit depending on what flavouring I have around.
Lemonade -
Currently blueberry/blackberry. Sometimes pink lemonade. Sometimes limeade. Probably phasing it out now that snow is coming soon.
Beer -
still prefer sours. I don't drink often, and generally just pick and choose different breweries that show up at my local craft beer store. There are so many great flavours. Most recent was a blueberry ginger sour that was excellent.
Scotch -
Another rare drink, but one that still happens. Single malt, neat. Current bottle is Dalmore 12.
Random drinks of Mountain Dew, Orange Crush, raspberry juice all make the rotation depending.

I’ll have at least 3 cups of tea a day. Green tea and decaf black tea are my go-tos, but I’ll have most types of tea, just not chamomile or some of the fruitier flavours.
Apart from that, I like blackcurrant or orange juice, heavily diluted so it’s more like flavoured water.
Occasional drinker, almost exclusively beer. I like the taste of beer so not against one or two casual drinks. Haven’t liked getting drunk for years although it used to be a regular occurrence.

I'm a soda drinker, and my usual go-to would be either Pepsi Zero, or Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi.

Black coffee (espresso) and Pepsi Max are responsible for me being the man I am today... Give them a wide berth. I think I'm pretty addicted.
For the record and to generate some hate Pepsi Max > Coke No Sugar > Diet Pepsi > Pepsi > Classic Coke > Diet Coke.
I will die on this hill.

When I moved to Georgia they had Faygo in the small rural community I was in, it was hilarious.
Also a Pepsi Max fan it is not as sweet as the other sodas here which can be disgustingly sweet. Weird Pepsi Max was rebranded here as Pepsi Zero.

Coffee and beer. I've been working over the past two months or so to convert the latter into water instead. Will never abandon coffee. Hydrating properly is so hard!

I used to be diet soda 24/7. Diet Dr Pepper and Coke Zero are the diet sodas most available where I am. I used to prefer Diet Pepsi and Diet Mountain Dew over Coke, but Pepsi briefly switched their artificial sweetener to sucralose (Splenda) which destroys my GI tract, so I gave that up. Diet Pepsi no longer has sucralose but I think Diet Mountain Dew still does.
Now in the morning I have black coffee, no sugar or cream. Just a tiny bit of salt. Diet sodas are for later.
Favorite cocktail is extra dirty gin martini. Favorite cheap beer is Coors Banquet. Favorite craft beer is Breckenridge Avalanche. Favorite foreign beer is Smithwick’s from Ireland.

I can never get why coffee is this "must have" drink.
I've tried some a few times, and I've never had a good cup.

Many people are just addicted to caffeine and need it to feel awake. Probably as strong as other addictions like cigarettes.
I've always thought coffee tastes gross, only had two or thee cups in my entire life.

thereallt, iNCY, or I think maybe NATH45 can chime in to better elaborate, but a finely made coffee, especially when selective of your beans, tastes fucking magnificent. If it was just a caffeine thing, then yeah... Gas station coffee swill, sure.

I'm with NATH45 here with the sugar filled soda. Pepsi Max, coke zero, and all the diet flavours just leave the most awful aftertaste to me. Aspartame and sucralose are just vile vile substances. When I occasionally get American pop...holy hell what a difference. That high fructose corn syrup is something else. Ridiculously sweet compared to what we use here. It's labelled as glucose-fructose (which is also incidentally corn syrup so I don't get it).

My wife just recently bought me a bag of 100% Kona beans for our anniversary (18 years for those who are curious) I can tell you the espresso they make is 100% glorious. They make for a pretty good cappuccino as well. Still trying to teach myself how to make a flat white though. The churning of the milk is the part I haven't quite gotten yet.

When I worked at Starbucks (boo!) foam was foam was foam. If you let it sit for a bit it separates into foam on top, steamed milk underneath so maybe try that for a flat white?
Never heard of one of those until well after I stopped working there - sounds pretty much like a latte without foam, so just steamed milk.

oh and also to answer the thread I'm more of a beer guy - not IPA's, it seems to me most breweries subscribe to more hops = more better and so while I don't have a finely tuned palette I can't discern much of a flavor difference, just stronger/smoother. I generally gravitate towards odder flavors, which tend to be fruit sours or dark beers (peanut butter stout? serrano pepper porters? yes please)
Coffees I'm not super experienced with, but I seem to like medium roasts over darker ones - dark ones seem TOO dark and roasted, kinda like getting a steak well done.
These days, since I'm getting older I'm switching out beers for sparkling water. Not completely, but trying to get at least a 1:1 o even a 2:1 water to alcohol ratio. Waterloo > *
